My favorite experience at Sequoia was during a First Tuesday Art Reception when the space was buzzing with activity. This is a two-story building that is a combination of gallery space which exhibits works by various artists on the main floor and small individual studios for 13 on-site artists throughout the rest of the building. You can get a glimpse of the artists’ work here: Everything from graphic arts to jewelry, sculpture, photography and painting are sold here. I was told that this is an artists cooperative and operates as a non-profit to promote fine art in the community. They offer classes, but I highly recommend the First Tuesday events to get a great overview of what they have to offer.

What a unique spot. This is a community arts spot so u can meet some great people practicing their craft. There is arts store on the lower floor and in the back a real vanishing breed, a used bookstore, and on the second floor there are the various studios for local artists. It is a great place to browse and get to know the local community. We love the hats here and also the various jewelry. The cost is modest and the Christmas ornaments are super cute. A nice stop and local flavor in Hillsboro. We particularly love the hats that Paula brings in they are so beautiful!
