Ritual Hair Design

Went to get a decent hair cut because great Clips wasn’t working out. I went knowing it would cost more than great Clips but also assuming I’d get a fantastic hair style.
First thing the lady did was wash my hair. She gave me a mini massage that was excellent and then took me to get started. I told her I wanted multiple layers on my long hair and then long bangs framing my face.
My hair cut is fine. I did pay $ 40 (plus tip), and this is what bothers me because it’s a average hair cut with a high price.

Okay so for full disclosure one of my really close friends of the stylist here and just started.
Lindi my close friend inherited a mess.
My hair has been a disaster for about two years. Between the screwed up color and the crappy cut but no one seems to be able to get right I’ve been a very frustrated monkey.
I learned that Lindi was at the salon I made an appointment right away.
It’s a nice salon that portrays itself as being upscale. Their hair products are good and the wax they use to wax brow and your upper lip doesn’t leave welts on me which is a great thing:)
I met the owner and she seemed very kind but a great sense of humor.
My only complaint about this place is that they charge LA prices.
It shouldn’t cost over $ 200 for a cut and color. Again this isn’t LA.
So right now I’m not where I need to be color wise but that’s not Lindi’s fault. We are getting there we made great strides. And the cut is good.
Will I go back? Duh — Lindi’s there:)

My first visit here was to get a deep conditioning treament and hair cut with Castor. The deep conditioning treatment was a bit awkward, as instead of sitting me under a heat dryer, I had to lie with my head in the cold, hard shampoo bowl.
My hair is fairly long and has simple layers in it. I wouldn’t think that it’s overly complicated and wasn’t too worried about seeing someone new and visiting a new salon for my cut. However, the next day I realized that I basically had one long layer and one mid-​length layer making it look like I had long hair and a bob. It looked ridiculous so I emailed the salon and expressed my disappointment.
Castor had me back in to correct the problems. He snipped at my hair some more, but it still didn’t end up looking good. I think that at this point the damage was already done. It was also pretty disappointing that I had to point out the issues with my hair — friends spotted the suspect layers immediately.
I won’t be going back and I can’t recommend their service to others.

Tried this place twice. Each time had my hair cut by the only guy that works there. I do no recommend him for a woman’s cut. Also, this place tries to be upscale, but each time I was in there they were either showing a video advertisement of a girl pooping on a toilet, or giving out sample massage sex oil that were in the catalog for sex toys, ect… Not the kind of place for me, or anyone that just wants a nice hair cut/​style and an upscale atmosphere that you can get away for an hour and feel pampered. You pay that much money, you expect a little more. Never will go back here again. By the way, the owner was the one navigating the behavior of salon. So no blaming it on the workers.

I loved my hair, so beautifully blonde, Melony was a great hair dresser, but she bleached my hair so bad that it all FELL OUT!!! I had to cut it so short and color it dark so it would be healthy again, it’s still not healthy… But it’s much better now that I haven’t done anything to it… This happened about 10 months ago and it’s just NOW starting to look ok… Thanx for the service! Not! I can’t tell you how heartbreaking it was, sitting in my shower watching all my hair go down the drain :*-(

I went in for the first time last week, I really liked my haircut. The hairstylist listened very well and gave some advice that was helpful. I look forward to going back.

Again, I am not basing this rating on any services I have received here because I have yet to have anything done. However, Shawn (who I’m assuming is the owner or manager?) called me today to apologize for the experience I had last month. She said she left me a voicemail right after it happened, however, I never received it, otherwise I would have responded right away. Regardless, I’m glad she followed up with me again because she was apologetic and kind and let me know that I have a $ 50 credit for any service should I decide that I want to give them another chance. I am still unsure that I will be headed back anytime soon, even with the credit, but I am glad that she got ahold of me and that my comments regarding my experience didn’t go completely ignored like I had thought.

One of the worst hair experiences I’ve ever had hands down. My stylist seemed unknowledgable during the consult and it took him 2 ½ hours to complete a partial weave! He pulled at my hair when washing the color out as well. Once finished, the hair color was completely drab and in their poor lighting, I couldn’t tell. It wasn’t until I got back to work and my coworkers agreed that it was darker than when I had originally gone in to get it done. I’m not sure how they received «Best Of» awards when the salon itself has poor customer service and stylists working there. I should have done it myself out of the box and saved $ 90. I called myself to talk to the owner and am still awaiting a callback 3 days later. Save yourself the money and time and do not go here.

I have been coming here for a couple years now and have been very happy with the consistent high level of service. I go to Lisa regularly for both cut and color and she is very patient with my oft-​changing color ideas. They are very accommodating and friendly.
Biggest negative is that it can get crazy hot in there during the summer time. They are not the cheapest salon, but I don’t think outrageously expensive either. I guess it depends on if you are trying to compare it to a Great Clips, or if you are comparing to other salons.
I learned today that they do wedding parties and makeup, and I think pedicures and whatnot (I’m not really into that). Lisa also does a great job on my husband’s big noggin covered by his ridiculously thick hair.

This place was the worst I have ever been to. First of all the hair cut was awful. I dont think they are experienced at all. I found them to be a little racist too. I would not suggest this place at all. They are not cheap either, For the price you pay, you could find something a lot better.

I called Ritual after trying 2 other salons in the area and not having the best experience. I called and the friendly receptionist got me an appointment the next day with Kim.
I got there and was offered something to drink while I waited. Filled out a little paperwork and then Kim came over to greet me. We sat and talked about what I wanted. I was going for a pretty drastic change, but had no idea what I wanted. She played with my hair a bit and came up with a great idea.
We did the wash and cut, and I was AMAZED with the results. Ive always had long hair, so I was going much shorter. She made me so comfortable and kept me talking the whole time.
I will definitely be going back in a few weeks for a cut and color. A great experience and everyone at this salon is friendly and helpful
UPDATE: Kim is no longer at Ritual. I got a call the day before I was schedule to have an appointment and told they could reschedule me with someone else. No one informed me before that. So I have to take away some stars.
