I’m confused as to why all of these reviews are so harsh. I’ve been going here for 2 years, ordered nearly everything on the menu, and at this point most of the staff know us. I’ve never had anything less than delicious and only polite, friendly, and thoughtful service. If I was to recommend anything it is the steak romaine salad. Don’t let the negative reviews sway you, sounds like they’re just overreacting about a groupon. Go check this place out. It is a gem.

Great food that came out pretty quickly. I had the 50⁄50 burger which was really delicious and my husband had a steak which was cooked perfectly. Our server was really friendly and attentive. A little pricey for what it is, but I would definitely go back. Especially to try the happy hour.

The salmon I ordered was a little over cooked, but still tasted delicious. However, the manager wouldn’t accept the Groupon because I dined alone! He then told me I could purchase another $ 20.00 Groupon right then to use because it would allow only one guest. When I tried to do that, I pointed out to him that it also was for two guests. He said, «Oh! I didn’t know that.» Sounds like he allowed others to use it when they dined alone, but not me. Grr! I have used many Groupons as a single person, now I’m being penalized for my lifestyle? Can you say discrimination? Service was extremely slow for me as I watched other people come and go. Again, was it because I was by myself? 1−16−16 They knew I was coming back, but things did not improve. Again, the entrée was on the dry side and hard to cut. Service … still slow and very inattentive. Waiter told us 15 minutes for dinners to arrive, but my companion timed it at closer to 25 minutes. Waiter wanted to bring basket of bread, even though I had told him not 10 minutes earlier that we were gluten-free! I wanted to like this place, but I can’t recommend them.

I ate light, just French Onion soup. Good French Onion soup and bread. Great band! Del Phoena rocked. Very friendly staff.

I have to say this is my first bad review. Worth two stars, but giving one in hopes the owner will read since this isn’t the first review like it. The food was good. My girlfriend’s spicy tortellini was good; or so I thought. She didn’t exactly feel the same way. The few bites I had couldn’t tell me that there was very little chicken. My Philly cheesesteak was pretty good. The fries were obviously from the bar(rated 4.5 stars on Unilocal). For the groupon value of $ 30. Plus the $ 7 dessert that I had to buy(because our total was 29.85 and we had to spend more than the value of the groupon) I felt like the service could have been better. The ambiance, the décor, the whole thing is great, until the server seems so hurried there’s no personality, responds too quickly to think he’s really listening to you, and the also Impersonable manager’s body language makes it clear they aren’t thrilled with your groupon. So I get it, we got $ 30 worth of food for a tad less and a free chocolate peanut butter torte(18 cost of groupon + 7 dessert). However, I won’t be back and won’t rave to my friends. If they don’t want to change management again they need to read this and the other similar reviews. It was a slow Sunday night and our server had just two tables, I’m hoping he was new. But please say excuse me when you reach across a customer to fill a glass.

I didn’t come here on purpose, well I mean kind of? Our first choice was sushi, and we were on foot. Walking into the crowded but silent sushi restaurant next door, we knew we had to turn around and walk back out. Let’s just say my friend and I were playing«catch-up», and we aren’t exactly the quiet types. When your convos consist of failed OKC dates, handing over her phone for me to swipe some ‘winners’, and hilarious stories from jail(she works there), we needed more friendly ground to unload. Neither of us had tried Orenco Station Grill, and they were pretty empty, so we thought we’d pop in. Up front we requested to be sat in the back of the restaurant where we were away from couples having a romantic ‘date night’. I’m sure you could imagine why our boisterous talk of the above mentioned subjects may be somewhat of a wet blanket on the ol’ date night sitch. The server was very accommodating, and gave us a seat on the opposite side of the restaurant. Like fat girls on a happy hour date, we ordered 5 things to share from the HH menu(which was going on a Saturday night, score!). There were two positives to this place, the drinks were good(the bloody mary was awesome, but where were our prawns that were promised to be on it!?!), and the service was fantastic. Our waitresses(yes there were two), were funny, joked with us throughout the night, and gave us pretty great service. However the food, was near abysmal. We ordered the following: Steak Bites — Hard, dry, overcooked, chewy just terrible. Sauce– teriyaki from a bottle, ick! Caprese– acceptable; tomato to mozzerella ratio was off, and the basil was chiffonade which was weird. I did enjoy the balsamic glaze, but it could’ve used a dab of nice olive oil. BBQ Chicken Pizza– The crust was like a Boboli, definitely prepackaged. The chicken didn’t resemble real chicken… it was more like those weird pre-cut preservative laden strips you can buy in the deli section of the grocery store. It needed something like cilantro to brighten it. I make a MUCH better one at home, like to the moon and back better! Fish Tacos– Frozen fish, deep fried and put into tortillas and smothered in a smoky tartar sauce. I mean they were fine for what they were, but they were by no means«good». Philly Cheese Steak Fries– So these were probably the best thing we had. The fries were crispy and drowned in Philly cheese steak meat, peppers, and cheese. But they also came smothered in that weird smoky tartar sauce…“remoulade”…call it what you want, it doesn’t belong on Philly fries! The absolute worse part of the meal(besides the inedible steak), was the ranch we requested for the fries. It was either spoiled/moldy, or it has something in it that is unforgivable!!! I kept tasting mold and couldn’t figure out what it was until my friend commented on it. Anyway, good restaurants in this area are a dime a dozen, and the Orenco area is expanding like wildfire. If this place is going to survive in their admired location, they better step up their food game!

Service was good. Food was okay. Manager was rude. Tried not to honor a Groupon bc the total of the bill was $ 19.90 and the Groupon allowed for $ 20 of food. When he was unable to show rules stating that we must spend the full amount, he then changed his reasoning and said that the Groupon said for food and beverages, so beverages must also be purchased(we had water). Very argumentative and rude with other customers around. He didn’t seem to understand that the Groupon is used to bring new customers in so that they may come back and generate additional business. If the business doesn’t want to accept Groupon deals, don’t sign up for it.

Been here twice now and both times it was a nice experience. The food is very good. It is a nice romantic place if you are looking for a date night. The Bloody Mary is soo good. Yuriy T. our server was amazing! He was very attentive, very nice, and very timely. We had a really nice time. We will be back.

Nice ambiance, however the food was very bland and lacking. Perhaps the best thing about this restaurant is its location in the heart of aranco station. We stopped in for brunch. Might be back, but not in a hurry.

Poor food and even poorer service. The server Michelle, made some recommendations one of which I got. When the food came back I told her it wasn’t that great and wished I would have gotten something else instead. She laughed it off and avoided our table for the rest of the meal. The food was was warm and a little crispy like it had sat in the window for awhile and lacked flavour. In addition to poor execution one of the meals was served on a plate that was chipped in multiple spots. At the end of the meal she still charged me for a meal that I didn’t eat. After dropping the bill we waited at the table for an extensive amount of time before finally deciding to go up to the bar to pay before leaving. Even though the place was clean and the atmosphere was nice I’m honestly not sure I will ever come back here.

Don’t get the breakfast sandwich, I don’t know what chef in their right mind would pair a sausage heavy gravy, with a sausage patty? Basically a breakfast sausage overload. My wife subbed sausage patty for beacon and it was a much better sandwich. Essentially this place either needs a new chef, or it’ll die out. The few times we’ve been here, it was mostly empty & painstakingly long wait times for food.

Service here was great. Our server was very sweet and very attentive. I liked the live jazz music to liven up the place. When it comes to the food– Orenco station Chopped. Appetizer round. Ordered the calamari and it was simply alright. nothing special and basically what you would expect at any restaurant. Probably would chop them after the appetizer round but we were all hungry so… moving on. Entrée round. I ordered the ribeye steak. it was good in flavor but thin cut. I was hoping for a big chunk of meat but the flavors made up for the loss. Stuffed pork chop was excellent and stuffed breaded chicken breast was juicy but the bread crumbs didn’t do too much for it. Overall a fufilling meal so why not continue on to the dessert round. Dessert round. cheesecake and key lime pie. both AMAZING. all of their desserts are house-made. best key lime pie I’ve ever had… and the cheesecake was insanely dense which is what I’m talking about. Overall a good experience, was just hoping for a little more for the price. but if you come. dessert. You will enjoy.

I host business lunches and large dinner parties here. It’s fine, but after so many years of serving the same thing, I think this restaurant should reinvent itself and refresh the menu.

The stuffed French toast was delicious and the OSG grill was great as well. Flavored were subtly savory and not overwhelming. Good choice for brunch in Hillsboro.

I read many of the reviews including the the OSG responses from Bob O. I have to say my first impression after eating here is the reviews are accurate. I decided to try anyway since all the negative reviews had a response from the business showing that they are concerned and wish to make i right. Even with the concerned responses, i still experienced many of the problems others had. There appears to be no actions i could measure or taste thats show OSG did anything but talk. My $ 17 burger tasted like a $ 8 dollar burger. $ 8 cheesecake was good. and $ 3 soda that was refilled after my meal was finished. No one asked me how my meal tasted. And it was not busy maybe 10% full but i had to seat myself. No one greeted me. Instead of complaining i really want to like this place. I just dont see value in a $ 30 meal if it does not taste more than«ok» My suggestions for improvement would be. 1. Food has taste good for your prices. Please taste your food before serving it. Would you pay for that? 2. When a customer says the food was not bad or ok. This is polite code for i did not like the food and i probably wont be back. I would suggest the waitress ask for feedback on what was wrong so they can fix it later. 3. Responding to Unilocal reviews is a step in the positive direction. But please take action and not just talk. 4. None of this matters if the food tastes great. The service, atmosphere, price could all be mediocre. But if the food tastes great no one will care. People will come. And be blind to the other stuff.

Brunch bust. My first time here. Table was dirty. Knife had a layer of greece on it and spouses glass had a lip stick stain on it. Not a good first impression. The food was a bit over priced for what I got, but it didn’t taste bad, but could be compared to mediocre Dennys. They were not busy on this day and not even close to being a quarter full. Arrived at 10:30.

Had the opportunity to go back to Orenco Station Grill for dinner Easter Sunday. It was just the two of us and even though we didn’t have reservations, we took a chance. Happily, we were seated immediately by Matthew, who was also our waiter. The restaurant still looks and feels the same and there were people at the bar, apparently regulars, but the dining room was relatively empty. Ahhh, a nice and quiet dinner for two. We splurged and started with the bacon wrapped scallops($ 10.45) that were perfectly cooked and still juicy. We both ended up ordering what I had ordered my first visit in 2012, the fresh wild salmon($ 20.45) that was grilled and topped with a sun dried tomato basil sauce. It was served with a crispy, yet creamy potato gallette wedge and sautéed brocollini. On Matthew’s recommendation, we shared a bottle of Andrew Rich Sauvignon Blanc from Oregon. It paired excellently with the salmon. So glad we could go back and enjoy another wonderful meal.

We had philly steak and stuffed pork chop. There were good and not fatty at all, good quality food. Beer was good too. Only service was a bit slow(I think from the kitchen) but waitress was nice. Recommended if you are around Suggestion: I would have liked more options in the menu especially for sandwiches

So, first off, it’s freezing in here. Bring something warm to wear. We had a Groupon to redeem, which required reservations. No OpenTable, but the employee was friendly when I called and there were no issues in that regard. In terms of service overall — It seems to be an issue of good intentions and somewhat under-performance. Most of of meal the service was fine. The waitress was very friendly. We waited a bit longer than we would have liked to place our order, but water and bread refills came quickly, and our food came out at a good time as well. The real issue was waiting for the check, which took forever. The other huge issue here is the food. It’s not terrible… not bad… but just so mediocre. The Beef and Mushroom soup tasted as if it had just come out of one of those huge plastic soup bags. It was lacking in flavor and I barely found any beef in it. The bread was warm but tasted like Saltine crackers, which was not appetizing. They seriously should rethink their house bread recipe. Finally, the huge disappointment of the evening was the Chinese Chicken Salad. Literally composed of green cabbage, toasted noodles from a Ramen packet, a few pieces of green onion, and some shreds of chicken. It probably cost a $ 1 to make and I paid nearly $ 10 for it. The dressing tasted pretty good, but it was visually bland. Just a whole bowl of green cabbage. Where are the mandarin oranges… what about some red pepper or some fresh pea pods? Maybe at very least you could add some purple cabbage? My taste buds really needed a break from cabbage though. For goodness sakes put something else in that salad. Ben had some sort of spicy pasta dish. The pasta was dense and tasted like undercooked pasta from a package. Not at all close to what fresh pasta tastes like. The flavors were okay, and the meat in the dish was actually very good, but it didn’t redeem the rest of the meal. Orenco Station Grill: It’s time to rework your menu and hire chefs that are passionate about what they do. Perhaps focus on fewer dishes that you can truly perfect? And put something else in that Chinese salad!

New owners bought it about 5 years ago, according to our server. Great décor, friendly server, delicious Margaritas & Lemon Drops, & each of us enjoyed our meals although the French Onion soup was a bit too salty. I had the breaded stuffed chicken. It was superb. I liked that there was a Groupon so we could try it for a little cheaper(only saved us $ 8). Love the outdoor seating options, too.
