Morgy’s Pub & Grill

I went here for the first time on a Sunday night to grab a drink and some food, looking around for a pretty chill place to go and that’s exactly what I found. Caley our server and the Daniel the cook were the two people working at the time and are majority of the reason I’ll be back again. They were both really friendly and down to earth. They have good lighting, TVs were placed well throughout the bar and the music was good! I’m a big fan of IPAs and although they only had 3 on tap, the one Caley recommended is probably now one of my top 10 favorites now. The food is good for the price, I had a French dip sandwich and was satisfied and pretty full too! I typically don’t write reviews but this place/​people left quite an impression on me. I’ll be back again!

Cool place, bartenders are nice. I asked the name of mine but I don’t think her name was the one they have me. Either way, nice girls.

Today’s lunch was our second time at Morgy’s. This bar is average — the food, the atmosphere. It’s clean & the bartenders are friendly. Outdoor seating is nice, but I wish they had a pool table or two.

This place was really disappointing. I was hoping it would be one of those cozy little dives where you could easily become a regular. Not the case. At least not for me. Half of the patrons had meth mouth and stared at my ass the whole time I was there. The other half brought their kids to eat fries while they played video poker. The chicken strips and fries were really gross and made me feel sick afterwards. However, my drink was a good, strong pour, and this being a bar, that alone earns two stars.

It’s definitely a bunch of locals. There really is nothing wrong with this place, a local watering hole. The food was average bordering on good. The beer was reasonable cold and the happy hour is dirt cheap. If you’re looking for a beer, don’t kind the atmosphere and wouldn’t mind munching on some cheap bar food, then this place is for you. It was just all really average.

During this long hot summer I was critical about lack of air conditioning as we all experienced the excessive heat it is not often easy 4 Bar and Grill to stay cool especially in a leased building. However I forgot to say how much I love Morgys their staff their owners wonderful service and food. As I sit here tonight experiencing all those wonderful things which keeps me coming back thanks for being there a great gathering place for friendship food and sports.

Really lively bar. I love it here. Great atmosphere great people and lovely bartender JoJi! She is amazing at what she does and so friendly! Never a dull moment when you walk in till you walk out! This place has games chatting amoking area non smoking area and great music! They also have video lottery as well for those of you who cant sit still! If you get to tired of drinking there, order some food I guarantee you they will have you at there fries that come with the meal. Great cheap price on meals! And happy hour is very very affordable you will not regret coming here they have the best staff the best laughs and the best food at Morgys. Dont trip leave a tip, the bartenders are always there to make your night the best night!

As we always are doing on weekend mornings, we were playing the «Where Do You Want To Go For Breakfast?» game on Saturday and my wife suggested going to Morgy’s. Great choice, as it turned out! We were the first through the door at 9AM when they opened. The breakfast menu was comprehensive, with all of the American favorites and an omelette daily special as well. In an atypical moment of agreement, my normally gustatorily unadventurous spouse decided to join me in ordering the Chicken Fried Steak and potatoes. By the time I had recovered from the shock of her trying something new, the friendly waitress was bringing our plates. The Chicken Fried Steak is easily the best I’ve had outside of Texas and the portions were huge! Not one but two large gravy-​smothered breaded cutlets of awesomeness!
In a morning full of surprises, one thing that wasn’t shocking was the bill. The price of two huge meals, juice and coffee was very reasonable.
When we were leaving, I thanked the cook for a job well done and he said «Hope to see you again!» He must of read my mind.

Best neighborhood bar around. The food is excellent for bar food. The California sandwich is delicious. Ask to have the bread toasted. Awesome breakfast on the weekends. The only negative is the air conditioning does not work very well. My favorite bar in Hillsboro.

Worse service I have ever had today. 90 minutes for a wrap and two whole glasses of tea while I was outside. If I didn’t think the wait staff needed the money I would have walked out. Nice music and normal bar food.

Love taco Tuesday’s but not annoying loud obnoxious behavior from server! I like to frequent a place where I’m comfortable.

We went there for a quick dinner, and were pleasantly surprised. This was our first visit, but I’m sure to be back. It was definitely smaller inside, but clean and well organized. The menu is fairly well stocked, but I think a nice steak would be a welcome addition. Our server (Liz I think?) was very attentive, and our drinks didn’t even get empty before she was on it and we were checked in on regularly (Unlike some places that forget about you until your bill is ready).
We were in time to catch the end of happy hour, and ordered the ½ plate of Nachos and the serving was ample and the toppings were loaded on. Definitely worth the $ 4.95 and then some. When dinner arrived, I instantly cringed because seeing the size of the Chicken Fried Steak made me know I’d never finish it (and I can really pig out, mind you). It was about the size of a small buffet plate, sliced in half and smothered in gravy. My girlfriend ordered the French Dip, and it was a fatty as well. Needless to say, we went home with leftovers. The food was excellent by restaurant standards, let alone bar food.
We will definitely return…

Place has decent happy hour, most are $ 3.95−4.95 for good sized portions. Try the half nachos (half size) during HH, though the beef could have a bit more flavor. Beer selection is not extensive but seems like they have a full bar.
The place is a bit small so if you’re coming in as a group it might be an issue. We were there early so they were able to connect the only 3 movable tables to accommodate our group. Most are booths, tall round tables, or bar seatings.
Great location, literally right next to Hawthorne blue line Max station. Has outdoor seating so might return in the spring/​summer.

Service was good, so was the beer. This place is worth going to for both of those reasons. Couple that with the good prices and chill atmosphere and you’ve got a place at least worth checking out.
The bleu cheese burger was good but definitely not the best I’ve had. The bleu cheese was the best part and the rest was a pretty standard burger. Three stars because of the service and prices.
What prompted me to write this review, though, were the garlic fries. I definitely do not recommend them. The order we received was poorly cooked (read: soggy) with several heaping spoon fulls of wet raw minced garlic that seemed to be lackadaisically tossed on the top right before serving.

How am I not already a regular here?! It’s a smaller place, but comfortable and welcoming. Within an hour, we felt like we were regulars. Great staff, very friendly. Great happy hour specials on food and beer, and the food was actually good. The hummus plate and ½ nachos were huge for being on happy hour! Great place to watch the game, or just hang out with friends.
They also have a patio, and I’m excited to try it out when it’s warm enough to be outside.

Have I said before how much I like Morgy’s? Yes, I have, but it bears repeating, especially this morning. I forgot to bring my lunch to work this morning (forehead slap). Morgy’s was open, so I stopped in and asked if they could make me a sandwich to go. Not only could they, but they fussed over me while I waited, got me a fountain drink, refilled it, talked and laughed with me, and sent me out the door smiling AND with a delicious BLT in hand (yup I tasted it as soon as I got to work). I always look forward to coming out to work this way because I know I can have a great experience at Morgy’s.

Food was good but i had to return the first order and ask for them to cook a new burger (not just remove the tomatoes then service me the same burger!!!) cuz they put tomatoes on the first one when i ordered w/​no tomatoes!!!
Only two star since it was not busy only two others in the place drinking and the cook f’ed up my order. What would happen it the place was busy.

You’re going to love this one, so on the way to the gym last night I spotted this place and then screamed at DH he was holding out on me. I said you never told me there was a little pub place here! He told me he forgot.
So after the gym and getting healthy we went here and got unhealthy. I only had a couple of vodkas, they were small and gone from my system by the time we left.
I ordered the tuna salad sand and then DH ordered the roast beef deli sand and a salad, he pretty much ate all of it and I ate all mine and the potato salad. I like this menu! A very surprising menu for this type of place.
The bartender was very friendly! She greeted with and chatted us up. Was funny and enjoyed the service we got. Only a few handful of people in the place– and probably all regulars. It’s a darling family run place. There are some amazing things on the menu. When I saw a nice cold tuna sand I was sold!
