I’ve been to all of the gun stores in the Portland Metro area and by far MK Tactical has the most friendly staff. I like the fact that they carry a lot of local brands made here in Oregon and they have a pretty decent size selection. There was a fair amount of other customers in the store but I was still able to get all my questions answered quickly and it was nice to talk to someone who actually knew what the heck they were talking about. I’ll definitely be going back.

This place gets 2 stars based solely on the holster manufacturer that works in the shop behind the building. The owner of the store is kind of a D bag. I asked him for info on a pistol I wanted to order and the blue line discount or what ever the law enforcement discount was he said he would get me a time frame and more info and call me. Durring all this he noticed a symbol on my sweatshirt (a Bad Religion sweatshirt) and proceeded to preach to me about what a mistake it was and how unfortunate it was. Hey, guy, shut up and take my money, I don’t need your sermon. I may have caught him on and off day, each of the three times I encountered him… but experience has taught me that’s not likely. The prices are higher then other stores, if not for the custom holsters they make (which I think is a separate business but I may be wrong) They teach classes there, having been through a fair amount of training and practical application, I’m not sure I would take them. Any way your mileage may vary and what not.

I took the Oregon and Utah concealed carry classes at MK Tactical. I highly HIGHLY recommend going there. Michael is a great instructor and gives a lot of insight. As far as the Utah portion, they’ll take care of all of it if you like. They’ll even mail it. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgable. They also sell custom fitted concealed holsters and a lot of other cool stuff.

I think they hate money. There were 4 guys in the shop. 2 in the office and 2 in the showroom. I went in knowing what I wanted. I was in the showroom about 8 – 10 min waiting for somebody and they just sat there talking stories like I didn’t exist. Even when I walked out we made eye contact and yet nothing… Oh wait now that I think of it atleast the dog in the shop came up to me… FML

I was driving by one day and stopped in for a look see at this newly opened store. The owner was real friendly and knowledgeable about handguns and concealed carry. He offers classes for concealed carry in Oregon and Utah. He also has handguns specifically for carrying concealed in various calibers and makes. I like the Sig chambered in 40 S&W that he haS on display. He also has the new Ruger chambered in .380 that can fit comfortably in your pocket with a specially design pocket holster that he also sells. He has some carbine style rifles also with various accessories.
The owner can order just about any handgun you want and is reasonably priced. He can also order ammo and has some defensive ammo in stock.
I plan on giving him a call the next time I need something and see what kind of deal he can give me.
