Typical belt sushi place. I only ordering salmon nigiri and sashimi, miso soup and seaweed salad in the bowl, love it, always fresh and fast. If you don’t see it on the belt don’t hesitate to order, the chef will make it fast.

The sushi here is ok and average. I go here because its closest to work and I need a SUSHI. Some times I have a hard time finding something I want. When I do it is fresh.

Sushi is ok. Prices are ok. Not kid friendly… I repeat… not kid friendly! To go orders have a minimum $ 10.00 purchase requirement. Overall this place is ok… but again not kid friendly!

Good average sushi when you need your fix and don’t want to break the bank. It’s a nice little spot hidden by the other major business in the shopping center but that makes for always having room and relaxed atmosphere when you just want to grab a quick bite.

The sushi is ok but the hot pot which isn’t the traditional hot pot is very bland. I actually sent it back which I rarely do. Service was great.

Don’t waste your money and time here. Very poor selection especially at 6:30 pm on a Thursday night.

I definitely agree with previous review from Cari. One time i ordered a drink and I never even got the drink! I took my 5 y/o there as a special treat and as a typical small child she touched the glass on the door, and one of the cooks yelled across the restaurant«thanks for messing up my windows!» Seriously? It was one hand print. She was well behaved, well mannered, and quietly enjoyed her sushi. then that douche upset her on the way out to the point that she is crying and scared to go there because of that one cook. Go to Cascade Station location if you want hot pot n sushi. They at least have a happy hour.

So this location just serves individual servings that they cook in the back. It is not a traditional hot pot restaurant. For the privilege of that individual serving, you will pay $ 15. The place should be called«Sushi And Soup». The quality of the sushi is mediocre and the quality of the soup is average.

I don’t go very often, but every time I do, the employees remember my name, what I like to order. Always a great experience! I love it!

I give this place a solid 4 stars! Cleanliness: I haven’t seen it dirty or smell funky, the bathroom is nice and tidy and so is the dinning area and staff are quick to pick up sanitize and seat! Sushi is tasty always fresh, I have not had one bad plate in the 2 years I’ve been coming. Nice savory, spicy, sweet and dessert varieties on the belt. I highly recommend take out since they usually prepare it fresh for you to pick up… fresher is better! The place is welcoming and they even play Japanese pop! Must try!!! Sushi Pics coming soon!

This place is terrible. Ordered yellow tail and it was completely discolored and smelled sour. Worst part is the sushi chef is the one that handed it to me and apologized immediately after I smelled it. They’re trying to save money and unfortunately people are catching on. Place is a dump don’t bother.

I feel sorry for anyone who eats at this location first and not Cascade Station! The sushi was marginal at best, mushy fish, just off tasting. The selection on the conveyor was about 35% desserts, weird for sushi. The server took our drink order and asked if we wanted wasabi brought out: yes for all 3 of us. Two of us received drinks and nobody got wasabi. I’m confused by this being a chain, but they are two TOTALLY different restaurants in pricing, food selection and quality. The Cascade Station had Happy Hour Sun-Thurs, 6pm-8:30pm, ALL sushi is only $ 1.10. Plus we ordered Chicken Teriyaki and here it was $ 6.95 and at Cascade it’s like $ 4.75. Same exact portion, etc. If you are in Hillsboro… go elsewhere or make the drive to Cascade Station, it’s well worth it.

So disappointed. We thought we had finally found a decent sushi place around our new home. Prices were decent, the sushi itself isn’t horrible(except the spicy tuna roll). 1st visit, awesome. 2nd visit. Didn’t even sit down. We have two toddlers. Surprise, they don’t like sushi. So, we stopped before hand and got a couple kids meals to hush them. This place is apparently the only sushi bar in Oregon whom doesn’t give a shit that toddlers won’t eat sushi, and would rather lose business or listen to screaming toddlers. So, I guess we will find a new sushi place, that allows toddlers to bring their own food. Which is literally anywhere else.

Great service and this place is so cool. I’m so amazed and I love it. It feels like this will be my favorite place to eat from now on.

The service is excellent! The sushi? Meh! Dry, old looking sushi been on the running belt for hours! No oysters, no real crab meat. I guess you get what you pay for. Sadly this is the only sushi place nearby that I know so I might be back. I’ll look around and see if I can find other sushi place nearby being new in town.

This is one of the sushi train places. The prices are not too bad. Most of the dishes are $ 2 per plate. The fish seems fresh enough. I have lunch here about once a month with my coworkers. The California rolls are good. They have a good selection of vegetable type rolls. I have had the salmon and tuna roll and they were both ok. I would NOT recommend the fried calamari here though. It isn’t nearly crispy enough and tastes somewhat soggy. Just know what kind of quality of the food when u come here. It is mediocre at best.

Service is all right and sushi is heaped over one another — made in quite a large quantity. Price is reasonable but taste is mediocre as well, and ingredients are lower quality. But for cheap quick bite to eat it’s a good pit stop.

My husband loves this place because off the house rolls, I’m a little more ambivalent. Usually we don’t have to wait to be seated and they’re pretty good about getting us the ginger and wasabi and drinks. However, the selection of sushi is usually pretty pitiful. I always have to order what I want, which takes forever to order and to arrive. I do like that they have an all day happy hour.

First time eating by conveyor belt. This trend should apply to other types of food(I was thinking a cake conveyor sounds more appealing). It was an overall interesting experience. Plus: Inexpensive, each plate is either $ 1 or $ 1.75. Fun atmosphere and super friendly staff. …and the minus: the food is pretty bad. A notch below supermarket sushi. You get what you pay for, but I’d pay a bit more to get marginally better food.

It’s time. It’s time to review the sushi place I am always at, but am literally dragged to. My daughter… sigh…loves her a Hot Pot house roll. Hmph. She obsesses on those simple rolls. And ramen. And so, therefore, after school… a Saturday lunch, or before her bedtime craving… I am her chauffeur. To here. Always…“hot pot!!! I ONLY want hot pot!”, she says. If she’s happy with her seriously cheap and healthy sushi meal, then I’m happy. Seriously… I guess she could be begging me for a happy meal, or Arby’s…lol. I really am laughing thinking of her vegetarian foodie ways. So when I do go in to take a seat in here, not just their take out, I usually order their Ramen. It is fab. It has more veggies and a hard boiled egg in it to boot for that extra protein. I like! So other then their ramen, their rolls are not my fav. I have never gotten their hot pot or other hot rice dishes, so I can’t talk for those. The service is very nice though, always very attentive and sweet. The prices are c h e a p! We leave usually only spending a ten dollar bill for the two of us. Wow. So I give Hot Pot a mediocre two star, as it s a great location, right next to my fav starbucks, my tanning salon, my pharmacy, and my bank. Four places I’m at almost every day. that just really forced me to really think about what I do every day with my life. And I don’t know what too think about that. thanks Unilocal. If it weren’t for you, I would need a counselor. :s
