My parents and I have come here for u-pick strawberries every spring since I can remember. There are two varieties in the fields — one that’s better for eating, and one that’s better for jams — so be sure to inquire and ask for the right type for your preference. Since the season is a little different every year, you’ll want to call ahead of time to make sure(1) that strawberries are in season, and(2) that the fields are open on the particular day you want to pick. You’ll also want to bring cash, as I’m pretty sure they don’t take credit card. Once you’re here, make sure to give them your email address(there’s a log book at the cashier) so you’ll get an email when the season starts next year.
