Great place to eat. Food is tasty, the service is attentive and the place is clean. The family that owns this place is so nice. Great community business. Don’t hesitate to try this place to eat.

We eat from the China Wok a couple of times a month and really enjoy it. It’s family owned and ran and they are the nicest people. Clean, friendly, and good food.

Place is ok size and delicious little buffet. Great for lunch under 10 dollars. Severs are very nice and helpful which is I think mother and daughter which i think is cute cause family working together (: come back here couple times for lunch and still will come if im around town: p

While visiting Hillsboro, IL, I took a chance with a local Chinese buffet called the China Wok on Vandalia!
WOW! What a surprise. For a small town, the food was really VERY good. Everything was fresh and the price was right ($ 8.00 for dinner) Of course, its an all you can eat buffet and they servers could not have been more friendly. Adding to the experience all of the servers (in fact all the staff) were Asian. That gives you not only a sense that you’re getting ‘authentic’ Chinese food but that what you are getting is done right! In this case, it was a great experience. Although the portions they had available for customers were a little ‘sparse’ they did keep refilling the buffet with FRESH food.
Bottom line: if you’re living in or passing through Hillsboro, IL and you’d like a great meal (at VERY reasonable prices) then you should stop at the China Wok on Vandalia! You won’t regret it.
