Amazing ice cream and cheap. You get what you pay for here. We have tried everywhere and have found our home.

I’ve lived in Columbus for roughly seven and a half years, and the convenience stores seem to be somewhat different than what I grew up with in PA (Sheetz, Wawa, and Turkey Hill). I have yet to find a comparable place to grab a quick sandwich, but UDF fills a different craving – feeding one’s sweet tooth. Enter the little store and head off to the right to find a large display case of scoopable delights, ranging from the well-​known flavors to things a bit more complex (I adore the peanut butter chocolate chip). You can turn the ice cream into a sundae or shake, and the staff are generally friendly and welcoming to your request. Head over to the opposite side of the store to encounter several freezer doors devoted to UDF’s regular and premium ice creams.
Not all UDFs have gas pumps, but this one does. This store is conveniently located next to a Kroger, making it easy to get groceries and grab gas and get going.
I live in the Bethel Rd. area, so unfortunately there’s not a UDF close to me. But if I’m in Hilliard, my eyes light up at the thought of grabbing a scoop to go.

I drive past this UDF at least twice a day every day. Sometimes more. I haven’t been inside in almost 5 years because of the horrible service. Last week I decided it was the first really warm day of summer and I can’t hold a grudge forever, right? So I stopped for an ice cream cone. As myself and 4 other people waited at the ice cream counter the single employee at the register helped everyone who walked through the door. Ignoring us for almost ten minutes! When I pointed out to ‘April’ that we had been waiting a lot longer than the people just walking in she screams across the store at me, ‘Don’t yell at me. I can only deal with the money.’ I have no idea what that means but as I walked out it just reconfirmed that I will never set foot inside a UDF again. All ye who enter here abandon hope.

Excellent ice cream. I recommend the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. You can get single servings, milkshakes, or a half gallon to take home. There are some grocery items here as well that seem reasonably priced.
This also is my go-​to place to get gas as it seems to be as cheap or cheaper than most other places in the vicinity.
Be careful if you are making a left turn out of here onto Cemetery as it gets pretty congested/​dangerous. You can make a left onto Leap and use the light to take that left onto Cemetery.
