Picturesque and kids friendly, clean but we stayed in the kitchenette and the bathroom needs updates. Washer & dryer available, walking distance from town but watch out with a stroller because there is no curb for 400 feet. Breakfast was ok

What a great cottage to stay in while visiting Highlands! Our room had a gas fireplace, sitting area, porch w 2 rocking chairs, and a small kitchen area w plates, cups, ect– all for $ 120!!! We will be visiting again! Very warm and comfortable!

We spent the weekend at Mitchell’s Lodge with another couple and found the place delightful. We stayed in one of the two bedroom cabins which was really nice. The only negative was a small TV that was difficult to watch the weekend football games on and a very slow internet. I would still go back again and would recommend it.

I was just at Mitchell’s Lodge for a wedding and it’s such a great place. There are two types of accommodations and I stayed in the newer building and didn’t see the inside of the other, but the atmosphere on the whole property is so relaxing and great. Our room was rustic looking and comfortable. The bed frame was a very Montana-ish log design as was the rest of the furniture. It reminded us of our very comfortable, cozy cottage at Yellowstone. There is a little pond on the property and a pavilion for evening fireside time. It’s not like a camping situation. This is a nice hotel that happens to take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings. It is within walking distance to downtown Highlands, which is charming, and just a short drive to Dry Falls and Glenn Falls, which are some very nice hikes(bring your camera!). Finally, Mitchell’s Lodge has the coolest cat living on the property. His name is Bootsy and he greets every guest as he or she pulls into the parking lot and is omnipresent outside stalking birds or sunning himself. He’s absolutely adorable.
