I have banked at Red Rocks CU for years and years, 2 paid auto loans, checking and savings account and paid unsecured lines of credit. Today I tried to deposit a payroll check into my checking account from Maaco Auto Body and drawn on a Wells Fargo checking account for $ 300.00, the check was made payable to my daughter(same last as mine) and endorsed by my daughter to me. Red Rocks wouldn’t accept the check at all! I didn’t want to cash it or do cash back, I just wanted to deposit it into my checking account and make the funds available once it clears, and nope RRCU wouldn’t do it. If this is how they treat their members, I revoke my membership. DONOTPUTYOURMONEYINTHISPLACEORGIVETHEMANYLOANBUSINESS.

Horrible place to work with. Red Rocks has tried to minimize their face to face customer interaction because they are so horrible to work with. They lost two key documents that we needed for loans, horrible customer interaction/service, and most of all, they are a very disorganized, dishonest and unprofessional credit union. Frankly, I’m surprised they are in business. DONOTGOHERE! You will regret it.

Had a wonderful experience. They were willing to help us refinance our car when no one else would even look at the options, it was always a flat out no. We got a flyer in the mail and figured why not try again. Amanda was so helpful in giving us options because the value was below what we owed. The process was easy and all done via email and online, which made it especially nice since we don’t make it to highlands ranch very often. TERRIBLE customer service. Their ATM machines are not conveniently located. They charge A LOT of services charges. The people working in customer service are not friendly, professional, or helpful. It’s not worth it to bank with this credit union.

I thought it was just me that had issues with Red Rocks, but after reading other reviews it obviously isn’t. I have had issue after issue with them, from the ATM constantly being out of order to their 2 day«upgrade».

Ditto to what others have said re: the ‘upgrade’ in systems. Surprised they were even allowed by the NCUA to close a bank 2 days during the middle of the week and at month end. Then systems not up the third day. Then no Quicken integration until after the following weekend. The the new bill pay is not good(can’t modify recurring payments, hidden payees are not hidden, can’t pay a bill with today’s date(even though the calendar picker lets you select today’s date) — no error message, just spinning icon). No communication from the Credit Union president(or anyone) acknowledging the issues and apologizing for them. I have struggled through this ‘upgrade’ but it is not getting any better. I also have accounts at 1stBank and Wells Fargo their online systems work as expected. It is going to be a pain to switch banks but I feel I have no choice — I don’t see any improvements in 45+ days since the upgrade.

Absolutely hilarious to witness my poor wife on the phone with these folks. Not funny for my wife though. Every bank and credit union needs to update their systems from time to time. MOST of them are smart enough to do it when it is least affecting to their customers. NOT this arrogant place! They upgraded beginning the last day of the month and still aren’t up on the second day of the new month. You know, the period that most folks have all of their payments coming out. Update: it was well into day 4 before she could get anywhere with them and her payments.

I have had an account with rrcu ever since they acquired my old cu. I set up a new account, they sent me a new card and I called in to activate it. They said I could not activate my card because the phone number did not match the one in their system. I was logged into their website at the time looking at my info, which matched what I provided to them. They were unable to update the system or ‘verify’ me although they had already ‘verified’ me with security/address/acct info questions. They recommended that I call another department that was not open at the time to update my info so that I could call back later to activate the card. I have never had such frustrations with a financial institution while just trying to activate a card. I will be taking my money and business to the Credit Union of Denver instead.
