Had him check out my sister for me. He realized she had some flaws but took her in anyway.

Homebuying is an interesting process. You have all of these people working for you but their interests are really in conflict with your own, so it IS kind of hard knowing who to trust and who is looking out for your interests. Chuck was referred to me by my realtor(who was also awesome-review to follow) and I was so pleased that she did. In addition to being a nice guy, Chuck was very thorough in inspecting the house we were in contract for. I have a thing for old homes, which unfortunately come with more than there fair share of problems. Chuck spent over 4 hours combing every inch of the 1500 sq. ft. house we were buying. He took the time to answer my questions, point out things I should be on the look out for, explain issues/hazards with the house, etc. I felt like he was working for me and had no doubt that he had my best interests in mind. He even crawled through the icky crawlspace underneath the house, and I am lucky that he did, because he uncovered a potentially hazerdous condition that we suspect several inspectors before him failed to uncover.

Home inspections are one of those items you will do, when you buy a home. At that point you will not know who to trust. Do you trust the realtor’s recomendation? Does he/she just want to sell the house(and a good inspection gets in the way of that sometimes) Chuck ended up coming from my realtor, but my realtor has pretty much steered me right 95% of the time. If my realtor wanted a non-detailed inspection, he wouldn’t of recomended Chuck. Chuck went above and beyond the call of duty and tried everything. The items that Chuck brought to my attention made my decision easy. The house had quite a few issues, and without his inspection I would of never put two and two together.
