A few bad experiences here. The last was a couple years ago, when we were laying down all new prefinished maple flooring. We were doing about 900 square feet and it was a weekend project where we had to keep dropping off our little ones with family because the noise was scary for them… so it took us a few weekends to finish.
We had too many problems with malfunctioning equipment. The nailers we would rent evening wouldn’t work when we’d set out to do our work the next morning. Big hassle. Sometimes they would be able to swap out the malfunctioning nailer, other times, we would be out of luck. Either way, it was a massive inconvenience. They made us feel like they were doing us a favor by swapping it out. They also never made any adjustments to our rental to compensate for inconvenience, lost time, lost progress, and overall hassle. In fact, they responded that we were already getting «a free day,» so we should be happy. The free day was because they weren’t open to allow return the products. So they would not charge you rent and act like they were doing you a big favor.
We prefer to patronize local businesses and give them our dollars. However, we ended up finishing project by renting from Home Depot. Haven’t been back here since. I’ve also told a few friends to save their frustration and just go to Home Depot as well.

Very helpful staff, quick service (the equipment was loaded and unloaded for me before the paperwork was complete), and low prices (we compared quite a few) made this rental of a sod cutter a good experience for me. They have a wide variety of other equipment too. More so than many other places I’ve gone. They’re now in my «book» as the rental place I’ll be using for my future projects!
