Starting from the phone call to the in home assessment, everything was fantastic! Cindy was had amazing customer service, and Nick was very professional and knowledgable. He was able to explain and tell me exactly what was wrong and what needs to be fixed! They made a big headache seem like a small problem :) I highly recommend Rowan’s!

A little background into our problem. Our AC for whatever reason gave out on us during the night and I didn’t have the time to take a closer look either at night or early the next morning, so I call Rowan before noon and they have someone sent out later that day. They must have been there no more than 10 – 20 min before I got to the house and together with the technician we looked over the unit, ran some electrical/volt meter tests and re-plugged a loose wire. A simple crimp with a Leatherman tool and re-installation of the condenser cover is all that they did and that took another 10 – 15 minute. So at the very least the technician was working at our house for 30 min. Back in the van another 5 – 10 minute to type my info and calculate the bill which came out to $ 114. I guess the going rate for AC techs is $ 200 an hour. Which doesn’t include any parts and very very minimal labor. I guess I am spoiled as a simple Networking/Enterprise Server IT tech, but if I charged that much for reconnecting a plug, I would not have any customers. Either way it is what it is and prices are dictated by the market, but all I can say after this is that I will never call another repair company before at least checking out the internals of the unit myself. Lesson learned.

We have used Rowan Heating & Air Conditioning on three occasions — always emergencies. The first time our furnace failed on the coldest day of the winter. BG&E said they couldn’t service us for at least 4 or 5 days. Rowan came out the next day. Yesterday, our air conditioning stopped working on the hottest day of the summer. We called Rowan around 9 pm last night and someone: 1) actually answered the phone; 2) was helpful in telling us what we should check on the a/c until someone could come out and service us; 3) Jake, the service tech who came out, was professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and just a great guy. He had us up and running before noon today! I love this company because they understand what their customers are going through when the heat and a/c aren’t working and they care enough to try to help ASAP. I also love Rowan because they are a family owned business. Every last person I’ve dealt with at Rowan has demonstrated more empathy and professionalism than I’ve ever experience with a giant company. Their owner Teresa rocks too! I won’t call anyone else for our heating and a/c needs.
