Shawn Kristopher Salon

I have been going to Doris for over 4 years, and wouldn’t consider ever going anywhere else. I followed her through several salons, but believe that the one she opened herself — Shawn Kristopher — has been the best yet. I love the décor, the professionalism of everyone that works there, the cleanliness of the facilities, and I love the Kerastase products that they sell.
Doris has consistently given me wonderful haircuts, always listens to what I want, and does the best blow-​dry style I have ever had. She’s also very fun and personable, and I thoroughly enjoy my time when I go. I definitely recommend Doris and her salon.

So I bought a groupon for this place, but that’s sort of irrelevant, because I would have paid full price for the services I received (and that’s saying something).
I needed my hair and makeup done for my engagement party, and I didn’t want to pay a ridiculous price. I couldn’t believe that the prices here were so reasonable, especially with the type of establishment they have.
The place is REALLY nicely decorated and feels very upscale. They offered me a glass of wine (but alas, I do not drink) — I believe they also offered me water. I had no idea what we were going to do with my hair other than a half-​updo. However, the person I was working with (I wish I remember her name!) was amazing. We looked through books together and finally came to a conclusion as to what we were going to do. She was really into doing my hair! She added all these fine details (like ring loops which made me look like I was wear a tiara in my hair). I got compliments all night!
My makeup was pretty awesome too — she worked with what I wanted, and they use some nice makeup (though it is foundation based, not airbrush).
If I needed something done for a formal event in Dallas, I’d go again.
