History

Established in 2013.

Scott and his family moved to the Dallas metro-​plex area in the Fall of 2010. Scott’s entrepreneurial spirit, culinary expertise and compassion for the community inspired him to open up «Hey! What’s 4 Dinner?» Scott’s vision is to provide a well-​balanced, nutritional and affordable dinner service delivered to the comforts of your home!

At 14, Scott attended a vocational high school for Culinary Arts in Upton, Ma. Upon completion Scott decided to pursue high-​end restaurants & country clubs in the New England region. Processing in his art, Scott decided to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Upon graduation joined the Ritz-​Carlton Hotel Company in Naples, FL in 1989. He quickly progressed through the ranks & within 3 years was promoted to Executive Sous Chef. During his 7 tenure with the Ritz-​Carlton Hotel Company Scott gained valuable experience in running a 5 Star, 5 Diamond operation. In 1997 he moved to Las Vegas, NV to work for Caesar’s Palace. He successfully opened the new banquet operation for Caesar’s new tower expansion project. In 1999 Scott joined the Venetian Culinary Opening Team as the Executive Sous Chef. Within 6 months he was promoted to Executive Chef. In 2006 Scott joined Le Cordon Bleu as the Executive Chef in charge of Culinary Operations.

Consistently quality home delivery of huge portions of food. I would like a little more variety, but the quality if great. Have to order about 20 hours in advance or they won’t get the order. I would imagine that’s just logistics, no complaints here. I wish there was something like this in every town so I could get my parents healthy home cooked meals that actually taste good as they get older.

After coming home from the hospital after having a baby this was a lifesaver. My family lives out of town and to help they ordered a weeks worth of dinners for my husband and I. WOW!!! It was amazing! Delicious, fresh and shocking the size for 2. We had leftovers! Plus they delivered right to our door everyday!!! We now order from them regularly just because it’s such a great deal!!! Love it!

Not only does it take a load off of my shoulders from not having to worry about cooking, grocery shopping, and cleaning up, the food is delicious! There was a mix up with our order as there is someone with the same name in our neighborhood, and they handled it so nicely, not only offering a refund but giving us a bonus of dessert with our next order! Great food, great personalized service. Highly Recommend!

Delicious and affordable! Perfect for a busy family or couple. No need to plan, shop, prep, cook or cleanup. Have had 3 meals so far and my entire family has loved every meal. Also the portions are huge so plenty left over the next day for lunch! Already put in order for 5 day delivery next week. Perfectly delivered before all the kids evening activities. No more processed fast food during the week. There are 2 menus: regular dinner and diet (healthy prep and portions) menus. Also the menu changes daily/​weekly so it is perfect for those of us that do not want to eat the same thing over and over. Well worth the money.

I have been saving this review for about three weeks now, hoping Unilocal would add more stars. I have now enjoyed eight meals prepared by Scott, and I am convinced — this is a MUST TRY if you live in or near Flower Mound.
As a career firefighter and acclaimed «firehouse cook,» this is serious business because you have a tough crowd to please and there is no place to hide if it falls short of expectations.
SCOTT is on to something big here and you owe it to yourself to give it a try. He is a very talented chef, consistently providing the meals you would expect to pay $ 16 — $ 20 for at your favorite restaurant, and he delivers it to your door for only $ 11 per plate! And the best part is, without doubt, the meal itself. Always delicious, balanced, nutritious and portions that satisfy a XXL firefighter appetite. I have enjoyed an almond-​crusted salmon, kabobs, salmon with a pesto kind of sauce, stuffed chicken breast, and a couple dishes I couldn’t put my finger on, but found myself staring in wonder at how delicious it was. I even enjoyed the grits for the first time ever, and the sweet potato purée dish from the «fit» menu was incredible.
I also learned there is a HUGE difference between a competent cook and a skilled chef. Give Hey! What’s 4 Dinner a try and you won’t ever settle for delivery pizza and fried chicken and save money at the same time. You will also save yourself time shopping, planning, cooking and cleaning. I can’t think of a more convenient service.
Next time you start to automatically reply «I don’t care» when the spouse asks what you want for dinner, do yourself a favor and give Scott at Hey! What’s for Dinner? A call. We have waited long enough for this idea to come to fruition.

this is what i have been needing for years and finally someone has done it and oh so well! scott’s meals are delicious, nice portions, tasty, well made, fresh, beautiful, and great for the whole family. the best part is you order the night before and it is delivered in the evening between 4 and 6 to your front porch. you come home from work or your full day to a chef prepared meal complete for the whole family. i priced chefs to do meals for my family and it is more expensive than if i hired a live-​in person so this option is very budget friendly and oh so yummy! i usually have enough left over for lunch the next day so that also saves me money. i can’t say enough great things about this service. try it. you won’t ever go back to «let’s go out» again. seriously!
