Eyeland Village

I went in again yesterday (Monday ⁵⁄₁₃) for a follow up appointment. They were super nice and very friendly we found out that my prescription was slightly off and they fixed that in a jiffy they also showed me the best we to take out my contacts. :)
I’m impressed and will be telling all my slightly blind friends about this place!

I should’ve followed my gut instinct regarding an optometrist housed at a Wal-​Mart. I made appointments for 2 of my children when our regular optometrist didn’t offer their usual Back-​to-​School discount.
I was not impressed with Dr. Nguyen. First of all: appearance. She was wearing scrubs and tennis shoes! Not professional. I figured if you are a doctor and you dress casually, then you better WOW me with a professional disposition. This did not happen. She called in my oldest DD, 11, barely greeted her, then turned to me and said, «Oh, by the way, I’m Dr. Nguyen.» No expresion. No pleasantries. No handshake!
The exam was very quick and rushed. She was not kid-​friendly at all. No small-​talk. She didn’t ask DD (or me) one personal question.
When I asked HER questions, she seemed put off. It’s not like she had to get to her next patient — we were her next patient!
This exam was inexpensive but only because they charge more for parts of the exam that other places include.
