I purchased a Groupon for a haircut, conditioning treatment, and root touch-​up color for $ 54. I was able to get an appointment for the very next day which is greatly appreciated.
Yelena is working inside The Tryst Salon located in downtown Highland Park. It is a very nice salon, parking is available but limited (not a big lot), there is also street parking for two hours.
Yelena was friendly, efficient, and was able to match my color perfectly. However, there were a few things I wish she can improve upon — she was a little rough (combing my ear several times and it hurt — if you’ve ever had your ears combed down with a sharp comb — it really hurts. After the third time, I said, «ouch» so that she will get the message. Going to a salon is not supposed to hurt. Also while washing my hair, she splashed water on my face several times — basically washing off my eye makeup, etc. :-(She noticed it and was kind enough to wipe it off with a towel. Obviously this did not hurt but I would just prefer that she is more careful and take her time because it seemed she was rushing because her next customer had arrived.
I probably would go back hoping she would improve and have a softer/​gentler touch.

Yelena gave me the best color that is closest to my original strawberry blonde. She is professional, talented and is serious about hair! She includes a basic trim and a blow out! Fabulous service, price and end product!

Yelena is a great hairdresser and even greater colorist. She also has great taste. I always getting lots of complements after agreeing to her suggestions of color or highlights.
You can tell that she really loves her job. Yelena is doing a lot of research for newest products and always on top of latest trends.
I am really lucky that I found her.

Yelena is a great colorist! I have a very frizzy and damaged hair and not only she was using different techniques to apply color and highlights not to damage it even more, but she also gave me a few suggestions on the treatment to restore my hair. She’s an experienced professional and has a great personality.

I have been coming here for 2 years now and NOT LOOKING FOR BETTER SERVICE, because Yelena is the best! Try her services and you will not be sorry!

Elena is the BEST. I found her about ten years ago and I am so glad I did. She is extremely talented, plus she is a great person. She really listens to what you want and genuinely cares that you get exactly that. She is truly the best around, I can’t say enough good things about her.
