I never even made it into this salon. I called for an appointment and was spoken to in such a condescending manner, I would not make the appointment. The staff is so rude.

Rainy day out today and I decided to swing by and get a pedicure for the first time at The Nail Shop and I’m so thrilled I did. Greeted so kindly by the nicest ladies, offered a cup of tea and seated. The water temp was spot on and my pedicurist Anna was so gentle and precise making sure my toes looked nothing less than perfect. It’s been a while since I’ve had such wonderful service and they deserve every star.
Thank you Nail Shop, you won me over.

Your feet will be silky smooth after she gets done with you. Seeing her is like visiting your fairy godmother. You go in thinking «she’s going to kill me for not taking care of my feet» and she gives you those disappointed looks, shaking her head… and you’re a little scared, but then you realize this is her «art». She has true skills and the loveliest person! She will make your feet feel its best ever!

The Nail shop is a Ravinia gem. It’s a warm and friendly neighborhood salon that offers exceptional services. From chic nails, to expert airbrush tanning, lash extensions and skin care, this place offers it all! Rita, the owner is so wonderful as are all the employees. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing! I highly recommend the nail shop for any and all nail and skin care services!

The Nail Shop is by far the nicest nail salon in Highland Park! The owner, Rita, is very welcoming and friendly. The nail technicians are all excellent. There is also a wonderful woman who does facials, massages, and waxing. The décor is very inviting and comfortable. In my opinion this is the only place to go for a great mani, pedi, massage, facial, or waxing!!!

Now I know Highland Park is a well off suburb but my goodness! Mani/​pedi here are $ 70 and when I went in for just a pedicure it was $ 40. That was quite a hefty price tag seeing as I know many Asian spots that will do mani/​pedi/​the whole kaboodle for $ 30-​$ 35 and it’s not any better than those Asian spots. I’ll try to put my sticker shock aside and focus on just the service I got… but it’s absolutely important to keep in mind.
The staff was nice enough when I was in there but it was quite clear they have a steady base of clientele and chat it up with them. One of my favorite things about mani/​pedis is just sitting there and vegging out/​relaxing. The atmosphere here is much more salon like, as in expect to chat the whole time. This is great for some I’m sure but not my preferred nail experience.
