Honestly the best there is this side of town. These guys are real car mechanics who focus on getting the job done using the best and most cost effective ways of doing so. You will never be disappointed. They lack the sophistication in customer greetings etc of a big chain auto repair shop, but they always deliver excellent results

The best. Out of towner that I am, they looked at my car right away and sent me off with a quick diagnosis showing something very very minor. Fixed and no charge. Amazing enough that I want to drive the 13 hours to have them always service my car.

Not a chip off the old block. I’d take my car to old Frank anytime. He’s no nonsense and gives a fair quote for repairs.
Unfortunately, Frank seems to be slowing down. His son has worked on my cars a few times, and after I’ve checked the service and asked Rick about it, discovered twice that the son charged me for maintenance not done. Once he literally shrugged as if charging me for, not disclosing and not correcting the bill was no big thing. I’ve moved on to a new «honest» mechanic and couldn’t be happier.

Very happy to find a reliable auto repair shop so close to home. I called at about 1pm today to tell frank that I needed help with my 2007 corolla that wouldn’t start. I knew I needed a new battery. Frank said he would be there in 10 minutes to start the car and I could then drive it to the shop. He arrived in the time he stated and got right to replacing my battery. I was all done in 30 minutes and got a new calendar, some cookies and New Years wishes. I feel the charges were reasonable and service Very Good.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP! I took my car in today to get an oil leak looked at and had a terrible experience! I dropped it off early in the morning and the man was very rude and not helpful. I didn’t hear from them until about 4pm and the man told me that he did not want to do the job because he did not have time for it… He was not helpful to explain what was wrong with the car. He just continued to say he did not have time and he did not want to do it. I wish he would have told me this when I dropped the car off so I could take it to another shop. After my car had been there majority of the day, I had a family member pick the car up in the evening. The mechanic had it parked on the major road. My family member went in to get the keys and the mechanic did not even ask for a name or any verification that it was my car. Also, the mechanic left the keys in my ignition while it was parked on the major road for hours!!! NOT OKAY! I highly recommend you do not use this mechanic! I was really dissatisfied with how they cared for the customer & the car.

No way! Bought my original trailer hitch from them. Live in downtown Chicago. Called and told them my ball was stuck in the hitch receiver… they said come up and we can try to get it out. So drove all the way up to Highland Park and when I got there the owner wanted nothing to do with this project and actually walked away from me without expressing so. After I waited a few minutes for him to come back, his son came out and told me the bad news. If they did not want to do this, I wish they would have told me on the phone before I wasted my time and money driving up to this place. Seriously feel the owner has some mental health issues or needs some major customer service pointers. So never again will I deal with this crazy man. Also was disgusted by the excessive display of wealth on the drive up to Highland Park all along Sheridan Rd… thinking everyone in this exclusive north shore village need a good dose of reality… sad!

I have been going to Pasquesi & Sons for 30+ years. They are excellent mechanics, honest & reliable. You can’t go wrong here.

If you want an honest, fair, great mechanic who is very reasonable this is the place to go. I travel 30 miles to go to Pasquesi and they are worth every penny. I have peace of mind when I pick up my car, they did right thing. I have found both Frank and his son to be very personable. However, if you want to engage in a social experience, let Starbuck’s fix your car! I would give them 10 stars if I had the option.

Took my car into the Toyota dealership and they printed out a laundry list of «urgent» problems that needed immediate repair all totaling around $ 2,700. The next day (on a Saturday), Frank from Pasquesi examined my car reviewing everything Toyota initially quoted me and determined that only my brakes needed attention – everything else was fine.
There hours and only $ 340 later my car had new brakes and I was ready to go. Frank even stayed open until 2:00 PM, one hour past their Saturday closing hours, to finish my car.
Very honest, reasonable and trustworthy. I’m happy to say I’ve found a new mechanic.

Rick opened the shop when I got there. I walked in and he was on the phone, he was clearly in a horrible mood. After 5 minutes of me watching him on the phone he gets of and says yes? To me and I tell him about my whipers and he comes outside and orders (not asks) me to turn them on. And he says yes the wipers are broken and we proceed to go inside and he takes my information down and he asks me for my keys and I handed him the keys then I asked may I wait… and he VERY rudely hands me my keys and says to me if you need to wait you can leave now. This is why I will never visit or recommend this place to anyone, customers come first…

I didn’t believe trustworthy mechanics existed before I took my car to Pasquesi. I was referred by someone who took their truck in with transmission problems. They towed it to their store for him and the diagnosis turned out to be a missing screw he had to order from the dealer for $ 3.00. Take that somewhere else and I bet you end up buying a new transmission! Anyway I went in because my SUV kept stalling out and they fixed it in a few minutes. Turned out the Jiffy Lube I took it to left some hoses to the engine unhooked. He hooked it back up and even used one of his clamps and didn’t charge! Again he could have said anything was broken but it just shows how honest they are there. Love them and will send them business whenever I can!

My car window got stuck, and it was open. A little Googling revealed it was common for my car and likely a blown motor. So now that we know the problem I can call for a quote before bringing it in somewhere.
So I call several shops and a dealer. This place was the least expensive, everyone else was $ 75 — $ 150 more. He said he’d have it done the same day even though I was bringing it in at 11am.
So I went there, it was done by 4, and he charged me what he quoted me. So 5 stars.
