The attendant at the car wash had a lousy attitude and was belligerent, saying «wait» while motioning me forward, then yelling at me that I wasn’t listening. Maybe this was the same rude attendant that Marcus H. wrote about earlier this month.
The layout of this Shell is also the worst — cars coming from all directions, no real flow. It’s just a free for all. I’ve been coming to this station for years out of habit, but I’ve had it. Thorntons will now get our family’s business.

«What do you want?» Is how I was greeted by the attendant that couldn’t do the courtesy of taking his headphones out. Sorry you hate your life, (looks like you drive a pickup so I hope the snow wasn’t your issue) and sorry I had to be out driving in a blizzard, but you don’t have to be a jerk about it. Thorntons is directly across the street, and typically cheaper. If you plan to run inside for anything do yourself a favor and hit Thorntons.

My go to place for gas and a car wash. You’ll get 10 cents off the price of gas if you buy a car wash and if you buy gas they’ll give you a buck off the price of a wash. Decent wash for $ 4 bucks. It gets the nasty winter salt off you’re ride and you don’t have to get out of the car.

The sandwiches are pretty bomb here. The staff is generally pretty nice. Its usually a little more expensive than thorntons across the street for gas, but only a couple cents an their food is better here.

One of the employees also gave me a lot of attitude while I was trying to buy flavored dip. He mocked me saying I was a «girl» for chewing pouches. I will never go back. I proceed to go Thornton’s where they had every flavor of dip and tasty slushies! :p

I recently went to purchase a pack of cigarettes at this station, and was disrespected by one of the cashiers. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had a discrepancy over coupons that was ultimately handled, but after I had paid, one cashier threw a pack of matches at me saying, «here have some free matches while you’re at it.» As I was leaving the same cashier says, «don’t make this a federal case.» He continued to mock me as I left. I will no longer go to this station. I also advise you to use the several other stations in the area.

My favorite gas station. For a smoker (I know, I need to quit) a gas station is your daily stop. The people that work here are awesome. Super polite, and once they get to know you, funny as hell. Make this your gas depot!

I recently began coming to this Shell because it is super close to my work and they often have their gas priced much cheaper that other stations in the vicinity. nothing too exciting to write home about… quick, easy and convenient. I never have to wait for a pump here (this might be because I go super early in the morning).

Always congested at the pumps! Most of the time if you hang back you can find a spot to slide in though, this location has LOTS of pumps. It does annoy me that they have the little tv screens at the pumps talking to me about all kinds of things they want me to buy, etc. Thank goodness I can set the pump and escape in my car. I get enough of that on my own tv, thank you very much. This location is clean and well stocked and has a car wash. The location at the corner of lake cook and skokie rd is very convenient.

No gas station is spectacular, but when you need gas for your car, North Shore Shell is the place to go. It is fairly clean, there are lots of pumps, and my favorite thing about this shell is that it is located right by lake road which is the main road that a lot of people use to get to places on the north shore.

Nice, large modern station. Plenty of pumps, but often crowded because it’s the first station over the Cook County line, and gas costs enough without paying Cook County taxes, right? Pumps are a bit slow with the new computers. Car wash is decent and reasonable at $ 4 with gas. Note, if you use this station, afterwards you’re pretty much committed to traveling South on Skokie Blvd or West on Lake-​Cook when traffic is normal to heavy.

FREE air to pump your tires, no joke? What will I do with all my quarters now? Oh right, city parking meters. Yeah, so that: free air! (Not that air shouldn’t be free anyway, it’s, um, air, but most places want to eat your quarters for it.) Cheapish gas! (i.e. outside the city) Courteous workers! Decent selection of other random gas station-​y stuff! TV’s that talk to me while I pump gas! (Actually I could do without this, but I appreciate the novelty here.) Putting aside my guilt of stopping here about once/​wk (curses, working too far from the Metra stop…), happy (ish) Shell this is.
