The most terrible managers I have ever seen. They kept my deposit for mor than 2 months and didn’t answer me. The new managers charged me several times for the things they had not explained to me on the contract time. I wish I had had more time to sue them. I do not recommend the property and the troubles you may face. Take your time and find some proper places.

Do not become a tenant! This apartment complex is managed by Morgan Properties. The corporate team and the property managers are 99% incompetent, corrupt, and careless.
This property is aware of prostitution on the premises but turns a blind eye to it.
Property managers are lazy and irresponsible.
During Hurricane Sandy, the roof blew off Highland House and all tenants were forced to evacuate the building. It was condemned for several days. Many of tenants are students and small families who can’t afford to pay for $ 100/​night hotels. Most of them had no idea what was going on and received absolutely no communication about the repairs, when to move back in, etc. News was spread through word-​of-​mouth, and tenants had to call the company itself to find out what was going on.
To top it all off, they refuse to prorate the rent for the few days tenants were unable to live in their apartments, despite terms that say otherwise in the lease agreements.
In short, avoid living here at all costs. They’ll sell you on the quiet community and great location but they’re just like any other corrupt property management company.

Residents were just informed that Highland House will prorate the rent for days they were locked out! This is a huge win, and will hopefully be the start of better behavior.
