Horrible. Manager is rude and condescending. All the clubs in the store are way overpriced, some even damaged with no markdowns.

Awful customer service. Called ahead of time to get my driver and sand wedge regripped while I waited the woman said no problem… I get there an hour later and walk in and the only guy who would make eye contact with me said the guy isn’t here then walked away to find someone else and never came back… I walked out

Just went in to try and exchange my golf shoes. The shoes weren’t holding the cleat and they were brand new as of this season. I purchased them at this location. I figured it would be a pretty easy transaction: I explain what’s wrong and Golfsmith being a professional organization replaces them. Not so. Got attitude right from the start from the guy at the counter. Don’t know his name but he was short with round glasses. Explained they couldn’t take them back on exchange without a receipt. I don’t have a receipt. Most places will exchange without one. Needless to say this is why online retailers are kicking brick and mortar store’s butts. I recommend you go to Golfsmith. Shop for what you want and then buy it online. It will probably be cheaper, you can avoid attitude from salespeople, and you will have an electronic receipt to reference later. I will never purchase another item from this store ever again. Update: Dan Plaza did an awesome job of resolving this issue. I received a call next day and he exchanged the shoes no problem. I am changing the rating to 5 stars because ultimately they did the right thing. This is why I like doing business with a brick and mortar store.

I went in a few days ago to buy some golf balls and was helped by an associate named Gordie. The guy was rude and acted like he was better than me when I asked some questions. He kept heavy sighing like I was nothing but an inconvenience to him. I had questions about spin around the greens and he answered like I was an idiot. I will never go back to this location again, it was my first and last time. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve seen at a golf store. My business will go to the PGA superstore.

I generally like buying from this specific location. Mike, one of the managers is very patient and knowledgeable about«golf glossary» when it comes to trying to find the right club, accessory, putter, etc. I would give this specific store a 5 star rating but unfortunately they hired an employee who used to work at Golf Galaxy. He also happens to be the why i stopped going to golf galaxy. I personally prefer not to deal with him at all because of his attitude. To avoid this one specific salesperson, I now just pay the 6.99 to ship my products to my house. I would go to the other locations but they are very far and i’m pretty much 5 minutes away from the HP location. Anyhow, I made an internet«pick up at the store» order a few days before christmas for a last minute gift. However, i this item was not in stock(although the item was shown online as AVAILABLE and«ready for pick up»). About an hour later, I get a call from one of the associates working that day informing me that one of the two clubs are not in stock at the HP location. I told him I was driving and asked if he could check the inventory at Schaumburg or Clybourn and he responded in such a way that just turned me off from shopping from golfsmith all together. Btw, if you’re curious how he responded to my request he said«Sir, I really don’t have the time to call all 1000+ stores». And then the guy hung up and now I have no idea which club is actually available at the store and which one he called me about. It’s too bad because the last few clubs I bought from Golfsmith were purchased in the store. Whenever what I was looking for wasn’t available at the location I was at, they would check inventory on their computer system and I would either go to schaumburg or clybourn location to pick up whatever i needed if I needed it right away. Ironic how people with no etiquette are somehow selling products for a a game that requires a lot of etiquette.

This is a large store with many selections for new clubs and bags. Most of the items are expensive you will not find many bargains. The selection on the putters is great and they have a testing putting area. The hat and appeal sections takes up almost half the store. Large selections at average prices. They also sell tennis rackets and accessories. Nice store overall you can find everything your looking for. They carry mostly high quality items. Good place to come don’t expect a bargain.
