this place is so clean, has great selection of Polish choices, has nice chairs and nice staff.
what more do you expect?
it’s the things that aren’t standard anywhere else that really make botti nail and spa fantastic.
also, the price were reasonable, especially considering you get a mini massage.

This is a review for the eyebrow waxing service only.
Since moving to the burbs in «Illinois» I have struggled to find a cost effective way to get my eyebrows waxed. As such, I have regressed to my teenage years and begun to look like Grover. Developing a unibrow over here!
The reason why I am neglecting this area of my usual beautification regimen is that everything is so expensive here! In NJ and NYC you rarely pay more than $ 12 for an eyebrow waxing. In «Illinois» I’ve paid anywhere from $ 17 to $ 35 for a simple plucking of the brows. Come on people! There is not much hair up there. I shudder to think of what a Brazilian costs here!!!
I stopped into Bong because they didn’t look busy and I couldn’t wait anymore to wax my brows. They were a disaster. They took me without a problem as a walk in. That is HUGE for me. I hate making appointments. My brows look great AND it was only $ 12!
Added bonus: the salon was clean and modern. It had a nice smell to it. Everyone was really friendly.
Finally, a place I can go to on a regular basis that does a good job and won’t break my wallet!

They were excellent in helping me to set up a gift for a friend over the phone! Did not even need to be there in person to buy it. Thanks, Bong Nails and Spa.

Wish I could review specific services so I’m going with 3 stars to counter balance the quality of the 2 services I received.
The good — their mani pedis are great, good quality, etc etc. 5 stars for that.
The bad — they also offer massages and mine was terrible. First of all, they obviously forgot to put my appt in their system and didn’t admit it which irked me. The sheet was so small, my feet stuck out the bottom and were cold the whole time. She didn’t ask any preliminary questions about any conditions, focus areas etc. She rushed through it and I am still not convinced she’d had any training to be honest. Then at the end she turned the light on so bright and left the room as fast as she could. To top it off they charged me $ 10 too much and seemed annoyed when I asked them to correct it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they list massages on their pricing sheet to show diversity but don’t really expect anyone to book one.
Even though the mani pedi was good, I don’t think I’ll go back because of how they handled my massage. They lost my business. It’s Lotus every time for me now!

Both times I have been to Bong have been incredible experiences. It is a clean, friendly, professional atmosphere with a great selection of colors! The best part about Bong, though, is that MASSAGES are complimentary with manicures and pedicures. You get a leg massage with a pedi and an arm/​hand massage with a mani, and while your nails dry you get a heavenly back massage. A mani/​pedi, including all massages, is only $ 45– that’s incredible. Last time I was there I was in a hurry, and they fit a flawless mani/​pedi with massages into 45 min. When you’re at Bong, YOU are priority. I’d come in from the city just to visit!

I originally went to Lotus Nails for a manicure but they were completely booked. Since I was in desperate need of a manicure, I decided to try Bong. The shop was beautiful but the service was NOT!!! The technician was very short with my questions and comments. To top it off, she took about 2 minutes to check her messages on her phone before starting on my nails. Afterwards I noticed other clients getting a neck massage while their nails dried however I didn’t. At least not until I made mention of it. My nails are very pretty but I will NEVER go back to this place. Next time I will wait until Lotus Nails can work me in. This place gets one star for my pretty nails and that’s being generous :(

Bing Bong Hello!
This salon and spa has a sleek modern design which is immediately relaxing. The quality of polishes was good. I’ll have to Bong them for having a typical selection of colors, typical service, and average prices.

This place is wonderful! It is quiet, clean and relaxing. The manicures last me the whole week and they do not rush you in and out. They spend time on your massage, use quality polishes and have plenty of colors to choose from.
I don’t have a favorite nail person there because they are all great! I wish they had better equipment for drying your nails, but all in all this place is far better than its competition around HP.
Mani/​Pedi runs $ 45 which is $ 5 less than everywhere else. A great find!

I really like the environment in the spa and I have received decent service. However, the last time I was in they charged me $ 10 to remove my «no chip» polish. I had not experienced that before and I felt it was excessive. Then too boot, the manicure they gave me lasted 3 days. Boo.
I’d rather pay the extra $ 5 and give the business to the awesome independent tech I know.

I loveee to get my nails did, and definitely have a lady who I’m very mani/​pedi loyal to who I absolutely love in Deerfield, but I got a giftcard for a mani/​pedi here so I had to try it out. And here is what I noticed about this place:
–They don’t speak very good english and when I asked about the latest color from an Essie collection, it was kind of an issue finding it. Oh well, I don’t need my manicurist to communicate with me, I’m there to relax
–The place has a very sheek, modern décor that I liked. That is two stars right there.
–The mani and pedi were both just eh, I definitely like the pedi more than the mani, she took her time and used a nice scrub. However, the mani felt rushed and in 20 minutes it was done. I guess that is a normal time, but I felt like my cuticles could have used a little more effort.
–The service is also just eh, because I had made an appointment and they were super busy obviously biting more than they can chew that day. So I had to wait an extra 15 minutes. I wish patience was my virtue. Also, I hear that they give you a nice massage when done, mine wasn’t so nice, but definitely not a requirement for me.
So overall, the place looks ultra cool, but the service and the prices could definitely be a little better. Plus, try to always have the latest collection if you’re trying to be competitive with all the Highland Park salons. I don’t think I’ll be back, unless I have another gift card and in that case, I would ONLY do the pedicures here.

Love love love! After having a few bad & mediocre experiences at nail salons around the area (see my reviews), my friend and I decided to give Bong Nails & Spa a shot. And we are so happy that we did! We both got Shellac French manicures and we were very pleased with how detail oriented our nail technician was. Our nails turned out perfectly and the complimentary back massage that we received at the end of our service was AMAZING. We will be back for sure. I highly recommend — just be sure to make an appointment in advance!

Great service, clean and relaxing enviornment — many GREAT massages during and after my mani/​pedi (how I rate my mani pedi places — lol). Looks like they dropped their prices in January. I will be back for sure!

Beautiful nail spa. Decorated with warm colors and very relaxing atmosphere. My reg mani was great. A scrub is used to exfoliate and then washed off. All the OPI and Essie colors you’d expect. Top products for under and top coat. Large drying station. And watch TV with captions while you dry. I will be back.
