While I believe it’s important to have a primary care physician, neighborhood clinics like this fill a very important need. For me, it’s when I know I’m sick, pretty sure exactly what I have and it’s minor, and just want confirmation and/or a prescription. I like the electronic check-in kiosk here, there’s never been too much of a wait when I’ve been here, and the nurse practitioners on staff have been friendly and knowledgeable enough. I wouldn’t come here for anything complex or if I didn’t already have a pretty good idea what it was because they’re not going to be expert diagnosticians, but for highly routine sick care, it serves its purpose. I also really appreciate the price transparency – you know what the visit is going to cost when you go there and if there’s an ‘optional’ diagnostic test, you can find out how much it is before deciding to get it or not. Good tip: before you go, check out the wait times at your local clinic at the Take Care website because they can occasionally get pretty long(guessing around flu and back-to-school physical seasons).
