Great deli. Owner is the nicest guy around. Always free to chat and be friendly. All the sandwiches are good but I usually go for the breakfast bagel and fries no matter what time. Fries are great too

Love this place! I usually get their grilled chicken wraps. Most of the time the people are friendly and the service it pretty quick! One of my favorite places to go for lunch.

We made the drive to West Point and unfortunately we arrived at 5pm and they were closed so we went to the closest place we could find to eat! We ordered two Reuben sandwiches and substituted fries for macaroni and potato salad! The sandwiches and the salads we’re outstandingly good! I wish they were in California, this shop knows how to make a Reuben! I will be forever grateful and who knows we may try them again if we decide to try and see West Point Academy again before we return to Cali!

Nice new deli in Highland Falls! They use Boar’s Head provisions, and have excellent rolls. The egg salad is very good, and inexpensive. The breaded eggplant sandwich with red peppers and fresh mozzarella is amazing, and astonishingly cheap. It comes with seasoned fries, and it’s less than $ 7.00. The English Pub Cod, served on a roll, comes with fries, and it’s delicious. This sandwich is also less than $ 7.00. We’ve had several deli sandwiches, and not once were we disappointed. I haven’t been in for breakfast (served all day, BRILLIANT!) as yet, but that will be rectified soon. The staff is friendly, and they care about making you happy with your order. It’s clean, and they focus on being a deli, offering good, fresh, affordable food. The menu isn’t huge, but that’s ok! It’s still hard to make up your mind! There’s definitely something for everyone here, at this nice new spot in town. I’ll be back for sure!

In the same location The Greyline Eatery once was, but fully renovated. The changes are immaculate. What once felt like a room at the Super 8, now feels like a suite at Caesars Palace.
Multiple tv’s make it a great place to stay and eat your meal or you can order and quickly catch up on daily events before you grab your food to go. If you’re in an extra hurry feel free to call to order & the food will be there waiting when you arrive.
The service is amazing. Everyone there is friendly, funny, and most of all, accommodating. Every time I return along with asking me how I am, they ask how my last meal was. I can sense them searching in my response for even the slightest criticism so they can hone their craft.
As for the food, I’ve had multiple sandwiches and every one gets better and better. The Italian hero is reminiscent of the Chewens Chewy, which for locals from Highland Falls was once a legendary culinary experience. Feel free to tinker with anything on the menu or create your own masterpiece of a sandwich as their variety of toppings and/​or additions seem endless. They truly make it a personal experience.
All in all, The Thayer Gate Deli and Café is a great addition to the Highland Falls and West Point community. My tastebuds are happy & ready to be satisfied for years to come.
