seriously, if you haven’t tried this place you are missing a true Mexican dining experience, you are not going to find better, more authentic Mexican food.

Three stars because if anything it’s authentic. Three tacos for lunch, one Asada, one Carnitas, one Al Pasture. Simple topping of shredded radish and either parsley or cilantro. The meats were excellently prepared. A good green sauce, not too hot. The red sauce was hot! The building and interior are unassuming and honestly that is compliment, but inexpensive and authentic.

I love the chicken tacos, the green sauce is amazing, btw I hate green chile sauce, but this one is just perfect. They have a great deal on Thursday’s one dollar tacos! Who can beat that? The outside of the restaurant looks sketchy, almost dingy but please give this place a try. The tacos are amazing! The prices are very affordable!

Sketchy area? Yes. Sketchy looking on the outside? Yes. But isn’t most really good taquerias a real dive looking of a place? Isn’t that the kind of place you’d find Bourdain visiting some locals, knocking back some drinks and tacos? Well, they couldn’t have been any nicer and hospitable! Your Spanish dictionary doesn’t have to be dusted off real well, as they are probably used to the average person coming in who may struggle with that! Make no mistake though, this is pretty authentic Mexican! They make their corn tortillas in house and it shows! We got the free chips and bean dip that comes with a check in. Since it was lunch, we ordered off of the board that has their lunch specials that run from 11 – 3 each day. We tried tacos ranging from chicken, steak, carnitas, and pastor! All were very good, but the winner was between the carnitas and pastor! Both had just incredible flavored meat and each taco is garnished differently. The steak was really good as well and came garnished with sautéed onions. Each plate came with rice and beans, and the rice was just spot on! Your not walking into an Americanized Mexican joint that will bring chips and salsa to your table as you sit down. And to that I say, fabuloso! On the way out I noticed the regular menu with sopes, gorditas, shrimp and fish dishes, and more! Can’t wait to try their regular menu! It’s just one hungry guy’s opinion!

This place was recommended to me by someone going there for years, and loves authentic Mexican. He warned me that it’s not much to look at — so much that you might prefer to drive by it — it’s not in the best area either. Going inside isn’t much better — She could certainly use some decorating tips inside(and out). But we decided to stick it out — per recommendation, and I’m glad we did. The food was amazing. I had chicken gorditas, and my wife had a bean and cheese burrito entrée. Couldn’t have been better. The salsas were great too(green and red), with a little heat to them. I also had the horchata, and much to the traditional style — it’s was crazy sweet. Maybe take-out is better than dining in(hence the name), but either way, this place has really good mexican food.

Came here because of one review that we saw. So happy that we did come here because the food is extremely fresh and truly authentic. Everything that we had from the burritos to the tostadas to the tacos are made incredibly well and very tasty. Friendly service and nice casual atmosphere. Also very reasonable prices. Will definitely come back here again as much as possible.
