Average diner at best! I’ve been here once before for breakfast and the place was packed! I’ll even go as far as to say that normally it is packed, especially for breakfast on the weekends. They seem to get quite the HPU crowd. I remember breakfast being quite good and fairly priced. However, this time I was here for dinner and wasn’t impressed! I got the special of the night which was 2pieces of fried chicken with 2 sides. The chicken was small pieces with not much meat on them and quite salty. My two sides were a tasteless Mac n cheese, as well as an extremely salty mashed potatoes and gravy! The cornbread that came with it was stale and reheated to the point of nuclear hot! This southern gentleman is confused as to which experience was the real Carolina Diner? After coming again for breakfast, I’m raising my score to 3 ½ stars for breakfast at least! The biscuits with sausage gravy was full of chunky sausage and quite extraordinary in flavor! My eggs, which I ordered soft scrambled, came exactly the way for which they were requested! The sourdough toast, which is impossible to find around these parts, was just a really good, fresh, and tasty sourdough bread! The coffee was a good diner style coffee which was kept full without my request. Just a good breakfast stop to consider when you’re in High Point!

Everything went wrong. The employees were young white females. The not volunteer to do anything. Just play around. All the tables were dirty. And employees not volunteer to clean it up. They were gossiping. WE not pay for the meal. .We got a refund and contact the credit card agency. We put it on the card. Management said there is not a problem. And the employees are always perfect. We had to ask the employees to clean the tables. They pushed the crumbs off the table and onto the floor. We had to ask them for silverware and a menu. The hostess would not talk to female customers. they would only talk to male customers. we had to ask the waitress to give us silverware, napkins, food, drinks, and our bill. The waitress said not want to write down the order. said it is not her job. We raised our voice at her. We asked her to go away. We had enough problems with her. She had long blond hair. The other waitress was just as bad. She would not volunteer to come back to the table, gave us orders that were wrong. not would do anything. threw our bill at us. The french fries were cold. The hamburger was burned. And a small size. I got everything corrected. And walked away from us while we were talking to us. Had to ask her to come back and finish job.

Visited Carolina’s Diner while visiting from out of town. They have the best biscuits and sausage gravy that I have had in a long time. Gravy was nicely seasoned with black pepper and biscuits were nice and fluffy. Grits comes with all of the breakfast dishes and they are probably the best grits ever. No need to even add butter or sugar to these grits since they do not need it. Service was excellent and very quick and efficient. My brother has lived in High Point for a few years now and he also says that this is one of his favorite breakfast places! If you are in the mood for a good country breakfast this is the place to go!

Can’t go wrong with a good old fashioned diner close to home. Everything you want, cooked the way you want it. My friend and I took my 3 year old son for breakfast here at Carolina’s Diner this morning. We were greeted politely by the friendly hostess and Tiffany was our server. This was our first time here and she was very helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed the 2 egg plate(over hard) with bacon, crispy hash browns, rye toast and grits. My dining companion enjoyed the«Big Boy Breakfast» consisting of 2 eggs(over easy), bacon, white toast, crispy hash browns, grits and we both shared a biscuit with sausage gravy. This was our first time having real biscuits & gravy(we’re from Jersey; the only kinda biscuits you get up there are Pillsbury from the tube lol). We loved it and would definitely get it again. So decadent; yum! My son enjoyed the kids waffle & chocolate milk and toast with butter. We don’t care for breakfast grits so I have no opinion concerning that. Everything was cooked properly, the way we like it. Coffee was good, strong and hot. Service was quick and attentive. We will definitely come back for dinner one evening; I want to try that hot turkey sandwich! Yum yum!

This location has some great servers. Their attention to detail is helpful and makes for a great visit. The food and their willingness to alter items as the guest needs are varied is extremely helpful. They’re always busy, always eager to help. It speaks to their reputation in the community. Awesome job.

Went back to Carolina diner on eastchester and again this meal was really really good. We had the same waitress that we had several weeks back she remembered who were and what we ordered the last time her name is Olivia ask for next time she is so sweet and pleasant I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, fried squash, turnip greens that are very well prepared. This is a really great place to eat my husband always has to re season(salt) almost everything he eats at other restaurants we have been too but not at Carolina diner it’s all very well seasoned just right so u can enjoy the flavor of your food not the salt. If you haven’t tried it check it out and after you get 100 points from your food points system your next meal is free we will be there soon

This restaurant was busy when we arrived lunch time on a Sunday. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. The waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. I ordered a Reuben sandwich with fries. The fries were mediocre and nothing fancy. The Reuben though, was surprisingly delicious. It was loaded were pastrami and had excellent flavor. I was sad I ate it so fast. I’ve been here numerous times and it’s always hit or miss when it comes to the food. When you think diner, you don’t think fine cuisine. As long as you know what you’re getting beforehand, this isn’t a bad place to eat every once and a while.

Ok well this usually doesn’t happen but I had a near perfect breakfast at this diner this 4th of July morning. Our waitress was on top of it with the refills and customer service the place was clean and not too crowed. We both had the Dinermite country bread at with coffee it was almost more than I could eat ½ a biscuit smothered in sausage gravy 2 strips of thick bacon 2 sausage links 2 eggs and in my case scrambled soft just right not too runny. Had seen this place often it’s only 6 mins down the road just never stopped there will be adding it to the breakfast circuit.

This is my second visit within a year and the first time I wasn’t thrilled. This time it was worse! Let’s start by the cold overcooked ribbon fries. I would of complained but our waitress never came around to bother checking on them. So we just politly ate them. When our food came out it was at least hot. I got the Philly cheese steak, for 9.00 I got about a 6 inch sub with 5 onion rings. The amount of meat did not cover the entire suface of the bread. My children’s meals where nothing to brag about. A very thin and not fresh burger patty and some over sweetened, tomato paste tasting, spaghetti sauce. Nothing was worth the money and to add to the problems the service was bad. I maybe saw my waitress 3 times during a 30 minute plus meal. At one point my child and I had empty drinks for at least 5 minutes until I asked another waitress for refills. Then to end it I had to go find the waitress to get my bill. I do not recommend this place!!!

It’s diner food. They don’t put any special spin on it but it’s fine for what it is. The waffle was good and fresh made. Sweet tea was really good and the service has been on point even late at night.

Great food for a decent price. Reuben sandwich was good, but the homemade chips were great. My son enjoyed his meal also. Definitely will stop again when I pass through High Point.

Classic diner atmosphere. Food is solid and prices are exceptional. Carolina’s Diner is my go to spot for eggs and hash browns. Better than Waffle House or any other establishment locally.

So, Carolina’s Diner is one of those places that you’ll go to no matter how bad it is, just because they have a wide array of cheap food. It’s a diner for crying out loud. The best is the breakfast, I would have to say. I don’t know many people that would say no to a diner style breakfast given the opportunity. That being said, the service is a little all over the place at times. It can feel a little grungy and unclean, and the hustle and bustle of the place can make you feel cramped. Did I mention that it was a diner? The food is mediocre, but you can get a large amount for a little money. Don’t be swayed by the three stars, I will go back given the chance.

Yucky place. Skip it and go somewhere else. We had dinner here and all three dishes we ordered were just barely edible at best. Bad enough we wouldn’t risk a second try to eat here again. Place wasn’t clean and wait staff was inattentive.

Typical breakfast diner in the South, but seemed to be a favorite for the locals. My friend told us to go here as soon as we got to High Point and we were not disappointed. The food took a little while longer than I am used to for breakfast food to come out of the kitchen but when my bill was a whopping $ 5 after a filling breakfast it was absolutely worth it. Great prices, southern hospitality and large portions. I’d recommend it to anyone in the area but wouldn’t say it is anything exceptional in regards to diner food.

Picture this. A skillet loaded with crispy, seasoned home fries. Now, let’s throw some corned beef hash on the griddle, and crisp it up a bit. Drop that right on those home fries. We’ll throw a couple eggs on top of that, smother the entire thing in a sausage gravy, and sprinkle some cheese on top, just because we can. Then, we’re going to put the entire thing on a plate, throw in some grits, and toast, and heave the whole thing over to your table. That’s what happens at Carolina’s Diner when you order the Route 66 Skillet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Or.. breakfast, lunch AND dinner, as I have done before. ;-) Seriously, if you’re going to get this, plan on replacing two meals with it at least. And hit the gym at some point. I’ve enjoyed every dish I have had here. Everything is better than you expect it will be. I even ordered a basic bacon-cheddar burger with hot chips, just b/c I was in the mood for that. I expected an average burger experience, but I was really surprised. I mean, I even remarked to my lunch date that this was an exceptional burger. The menu here is gigantic. I’ve had the meat and veggie plates as well, and cannot complain. The only thing I haven’t tried is dessert. They have these massive cakes and pies up there staring at you when you check out, but I never have enough reserve to eat anything else when I leave here. This review applies to both the Eastchester location, as well as the Regional Road location. Never, ever step into the Archdale location. Just keep driving. No idea how that one location could be so absolutely horrible, while the others are fantastic. Maybe help is harder to find down there. I have yet to sign up for their Frequent Diner program, even though I’m pretty frequent. I just can’t see giving my personal information, address, and all that to a diner. I don’t need that to be part of my relationship with my local diner. Just assign me a number, and get on with it. You won’t regret your visit to this, or the Regional Rd. location.

After a bud of mine competed in the NC state bodybuilding championship this past weekend, he was looking for food… big food… real food… lots of it. The choice was made to head out to Carolina’s Diner to see how much damage could be done. This choice was a great one. I love a good ol’ diner atmosphere and that is exactly what Carolina’s Diner was. Perfect. Plus, you gotta love a place that serves breakfast at all hours, definite bonus. As far as the food, again good stuff. I enjoyed my scrambled eggs, hamburger steak, and French toast. Diner food done right. The service here was great also. Our waitress was courteous, attentive, and on the spot when we needed anything. Thumbs up on service and staff, good job! Bottom line: Good diner experience. Good food, good service, and good diner atmosphere. It’s a winner.

Food is always good. Breakfast all the time… You can come here after a late night out and fill up before heading home to bed. =) Service is always good. Once, I ordered bacon and eggs and was told that I would get 4 pieces of bacon. The waitress brought the plate with only 3 pieces and told me that she was wrong. It should have only been 3. She then went to the kitchen and got me another piece of bacon since she told me I would get 4. IMPRESSED. The only thing about this place that needs some work is the restroom. Awkward layout and usually not too clean.
