Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Stopped in the other night. Most 5 guys are decent but this one was better than most. My bacon cheeseburger was hot and juicy and hit the spot. Also the guy’s were generous with the fries. I ordered a small and they over filled it. Thanks guys!

Its a Five Guys, how could you not love it?
This is probably the closest five guys to my house, so when I am craving it I usually come here.
I usually call in my orders and they are always ready on time and how I asked for them, I don’t think I’ve ever had an order made incorrectly at Five Guys. I also frequently ask for my fries well done, which they do without question. Whether its a burger, hot dog, or fries you want I would totally recommend trying out five guys.

$ 14.20 for a burger, fries, and a small soda is a bit much. Especially, since the burger was disgusting. Very unhealthy tasting.

I think it’s great. I love the burgers. I love the free peanuts and refills. Cajun fries are amazing, nice toppings. My only problem with five guys is that the menu is very short, and they don’t offer any desserts. it’s a bit pricy, but I’d rather pay this than pay a bit less and go to Wendy’s (which I like for the chicken) or Burger King and get something of less quality.

I stop by the Hicksville Five Guys about once a month to chow down on their burgers and homemade fries.
Service: fast and friendly.
Burgers: Good but not great — the free toppings are just the icing on the cake.
Fries: Very good, bordering on great. The «small» fries are more than enough for one person.
Drinks: Large choice of sodas with free refills.
Price: A little steep, IMO. A single burger (no cheese/​bacon), small fries & soda came to $ 10.40 with tax.
The place is spotlessly clean and there are free peanuts to munch on while you wait.

Eating lunch at five guys is like going to visit an old college buddy you haven’t seen in ages. Or to me, a comet that’s only visible once every couple of years. We all remember when Obama ate there back in 2009 and instantly the place got hot for awhile then it cooled down and other places came along like Smashburger and Shake Shack. Well, I haven’t been inside a Five Guys since the Obama visit, so it seemed the right time to revisit a burger stand I frankly wasn’t all that impressed with back then. I visited Hicksville but I’m pretty sure they are all pretty similar. The burger itself was very good, as were the fries. Place looked a little dirty and could use a good cleaning. Anyway, because I only visit once every four or five years for obvious health reasons, I go all-​in which means a double bacon cheeseburger with the works (basically all toppings). Not much else to say except see ya in 2018.

After leaving the Hicksville station, I had a craving for fries. I remember reading on Unilocal that Five Guys freshly cut their potatoes. I decided to give it a try. Not to crazy about it being fried in peanut oil, but I was happy for a «veggie» option Lol. Anyway, i was PLEASED! I am a french fry freak, so worth the cheating! I bought only a small, but it seemed like a large! I ate a few & saved the rest for dinner with my vegan chili. So happy! A little salty & greasy, but I will definitely eat it again on another cheat day. The resturaunt is clean & the employees were friendly. I APPROVE! Good job Five Guys!!!

Soda selection great. Fries, fresh cut cooked in peanut oil, great. But, I come here for a burger and the bottom line is they’re just ok. I don’t know why I keep coming back with friends (peer pressure) and overpaying for such an average burger. The quality of the meat is good, but flattened and always cooked well-​done just takes the flavor out of the meat. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was very well done and salty to match the burger. I just can’t get over thinking that people are buying into the hype. I mean, my goodness, my burger was $ 8.
I really think it boils down to taste. I personally prefer a thicker burger that’s more juicy and has a great flavor.
Do this taste test… buy a Wendy’s Double Cheese and a Five Guys Cheeseburger. Eat them with the exact same toppings of course. See what you think. I think you’ll be surprised. Since Wendy’s experienced their corporate makeover a few years back their food has improved significantly. I don’t even order burgers from BK or McD’s anymore.
The only caveat to this is that sometimes you’ll find a lesser Wendy’s location that isn’t on top of their freshness as they should be, but even with those occasional hiccups I can taste the quality of their flavor. If nothing else, Five Guy’s consistency can always be counted on.

What am I not tired of this place yet? It’s a sloppy burger, oversized, grease oozes out the bag, there’s Always peanut shells on the floor… BUT I LOVE IT!

The burgers are alway great and well made. The fries are tasty and plentiful.
Staff is real friendly and don’t pressure you.
Soda machine is awesome and has a bunch of great flavors. The Pibb cherry vanilla coke is amazing and I can’t seem to find it anywhere else
and the free peanuts are a nice touch while you are waiting or your food.
Great place and i would definitely come here again.

I came here on my lunch break this week, the staff is always friendly and ready to take my order. As always my burger was fresh and delicious!!! Five Guys is the way to go if you want a good burger.

Went to Five Guys last night for dinner.
I have to say I read a lot of reviews saying how great they were, But i was a bit disappointed.
The hamburger was good, But nothing super.
The fries would have been really good if they did not put a ton of salt on them, I feel my blood pressure going up already.
I think the best part of the meal was the Fanta birch beer they had.
Would not go to this location again, Might go to a different one to see if it was a bad fluke or not.
In the mean while ill stick with the Shake Shack as it was 100 times better.

I’m a great fan of good burgers. I’m also happy for any restaurant that would open so close by (I live in Hicksville). The burgers here are very good if not great. They are fresh, grilled well, of good size for a hungry belly, and come with a variety of free sauce choices. As others have pointed out, this is not health food and you won’t find a salad bar here. In fact, the only healthy thing I saw here were boxes and boxes of peanuts you can grab a handful of. (people with peanut allergies… stay far away from this place). As much as I like their burgers, I found them to be nothing special. Just a good old fashioned burger you might get at a summer picnic.
Ironically, I’ve also eaten the burgers next door at the Broadway Diner and found them to be equally good. Both are similar size, ooze juices, and come with excellent fries, but add the flexibility of a hundred other items for those not wanting to chow down a burger with you. I also prefer being waited on, getting free bread, coleslaw, etc. Five guys is best when you’re doing a take-​out and everyone’s on board for dripping fatburgers. Oh yeah, forget trying to take a handful of peanuts out the door with you. You’ll get scolded.lol.

Really Good Burgers and awesome fries. I would give five stars if only during and after meal I can feel my arteries hardening and my face glistening like I shower in baby oil. Seriously this food would kill you, but you could get your face bitten off by a guy high on bath salts so weighing all options this is a better way to go. The best way to order if busy (which it usually is) is to use your smartphone to order on their app and boycott the line and just pickup your food. They don’t ask for your credit card when you go, so maybe a hacker could get some free meals. The hotdogs stink they cut them down the middle the long way and put on a bun and all I tasted was bread.
They serve free peanuts while you wait, everyone goes nuts for them but I don’t see it. For fun invite someone with a peanut allergy and see them convulse on the floor as soon as they walk in.
So summary good burgers, good fries, bad hot dogs death by massive coronary by 50

Wow such great burgers and fries so worth the price and the burgers are so juicy. The people were nice and just getting their customers full :)
We ordered small fries and they filled the bag so you know i was psyched! Loved the peanut overload i had and my 50lb burger after all those toppings lol.

I heard all the hype so I wanted to try them. The burgers are hockey pucks, no taste, dripping of grease. The buns look like there day old supermarket house quality. The fries are served in paper bags that have grease stains on it. I can’t believe they serve such poor quality food. Oh did I tell you my bill was $ 27.00 for two of us. If you are into hype and not quality, this place is looking for you.

If you are in the mood for a nice juicy burger and fresh cut french fries go to FIVE GUYS. Instead of going to a fast food place like McDonald’s or Burger King, go here. The only complaint I have is that they don’t have shakes. After you order your burger you can add a wide variety of toppings for free and a regular fries is about 10 pounds after they dump extra into your bag.

I am not seeing what all the hype is about. The burgers taste just like ones made at home. The fries are basic and just like In-​and-​Out Burger.
I go out to eat better cooking than what I can make at home; I expected a lot more.

I love Five Guys (l’m also obsessed with burgers and fries) and it was my first time at this location. Well it didn’t disappoint. The same quality I have received in Levittown and Huntington but closer to home.
First timers — Don’t bother ordering the large fries. they’ll always give you a TON! :)

I love a good smashed style burger and that’s what they serve here. Stick to the classic cheese-​burger and a side of original fries and you will never be disappointed.
I love the fact that they use excellent ingredients. 100% fresh never frozen beef, peanut oil to deep fry the fries… you wont find any weird food science going on here.
Its almost as good as shake shack but since there are none in Hicksville this place is the go to place for an amazing burger. The fries are also great. Now, if only they sold beer.. .
