My family loved this place and we are so sad they have closed! The chicken is amazing and we had been ordering from them for a long time! We are so sad there will never be a place like Chicken Sensation and we are always hoping they will reopen somewhere else on Long Island!

We get from there either pick up or delivery 3−6x a year. Owner is a Giant fan, Met fan and Islander fan much like myself. Old school Newspaper clipouts of big wins of all those teams. However he should really upgrade that. Get a nice piece of memoribillia on the wall and get rid of some of the faded out newspaper. Not sure if he is just a huge fan or if he is really knowledgeable about the teams and history. I am a diehard and like walking in and seeing all my favorite teams represented. Food is delicious the chicken seals in flavor somehow and is just fabulous. The shrimp also delicious. Love that it is not oversalted. the fries are crispy thick and tasty, the mash is also buttery and delicious. The delivery guys definitely hustle. I have been in the back where they park their cars as my sons dance school is in the same shopping center and Ive watched the delivery guys. Always hustling to their cars yet not peeling out of the parking lot. I was impressed by that. When the food gets to our home when we order in it is never cold and always hot and tasty. Not healthy but just downright delicious and not expensive in the least. Big Menu too.

This would have gotten 5 stars, Ive been here before, the food is always good, and the people are always friendly. Tonight, however, Im waiting for my order, and one of the employees is eating, with bare fingers directly over where the food for the customers is brought, covered, and packaged. This was happining right in front of me. Amazing, how can a person be eating with thier bare hands, and packaging food at the same time? Luckly, when my food was ready the employee was done… never did wash up, but never touched my plate. This employee was taking bites of chicken right over the food… I am sending a copy of this to them… They meed to reevaluate thier procedures. I intentionly did not ID weather it is a male, or female employee, but if I see it again, I most certantly will.

I moved to the area about a year ago, and I’m not sure why I’ve waited until now to give this place a legit try! In short, this is comfort food. Anything fried, you’ll find it here! Needless to say, health nuts, look elsewhere. Their menu is pretty expansive, I had a hard time choosing as I wanted everything. Been happy with everything I’ve tried so far, and will definitely continue «eating thru the menu».
I’ve tried the Combo dinner (Chic, shrimp, fish) and the Chic and Rib dinner. It comes with some form of potato, or you can get waffle fries for a small upcharge. Everything was great. Ribs were big and flavorful (perhaps a TAD dry for some). Chicken was fresh and juicy, but could use a little more flavor. The corn nuggets were great, as were the jalapeño tots (not to be confused with jalapeño poppers).
Def call in your order, as it takes 15 – 20 minutes. Perhaps they freshly fry the chicken when you order? It certain taste like it. Service is friendly. One last thing, though they do take credit cards, just not Amex.

Best takeout chicken. Whether you want chicken breast, legs, wings, chicken fingers, chicken nuggets, they have it all and made to order anyway you like.
The chicken wings are absolutely finger licking delicious. Craving barbecue chicken, no problem Chicken Sensation has it and it’s the best. Don’t want chicken, try any of the seafood specialties. Don’t forget the waffle fries. You will not be disappointed.

This is my favorite chicken and ribs place on Long Island. If i ever move back to Hicksville/​Levittown this is one of the reasons.
The grilled chicken is gluten free, which is perfect for my wife.
My mother in law loves the ribs and says they are even better than hers, which is quite good.
The parking is plentiful if you want to pick up your order instead of waiting on delivery.

That oil they use felt like it was burn. Food didn’t taste good. Maybe fresh oil will work better for you guys.

This place is great and it is a family owned business. All staff members are friendly. One thing to remember when you make an order on Super Bowl Sunday be prepared to wait, but it is well worth it. Also, this owner loves the Mets so Aces in my book.

I was hungry on the way home from work, pulled over and surveyed Unilocal for some options. Stumbled upon this place and… wow…what a find.
Food was spectacular. Chicken was piping hot and excellent. fries were excellent. Need to go back and try the rest of their menu.
Service: It’s a take out place. I ordered by phone, and they told me 20 minutes. I thought they were exaggerating. Nope. 20 minutes. But 20 min because the food was freshly cooked.
Will definitely go back.

Finding a place with good chicken and wings while also being very clean is hard to find. Well in my opinion this place is damn close and worth all 5 stars.
Starting with the wings… juicy, meaty, flavorful sauces. Enough said.
As for the fried chicken, the fry is perfect and the chicken is very juicy. Along with what others have said, the only criticism would be that it could use a little more seasoning in the breading. Thighs have more flavor than the legs.
Moving on to side items. French fries and waffle fries were crispy and tasty. Don’t know what others were talking about about being soggy unless they left them in the bag too long. Also, a medium can easily fill 4 people. Generous portions here.
Corn nuggets best around locally. Not going to ever be what they are as you go more south, but for NY standards, good. Beer battered onion rings are very tasty. Chicken nuggets remind me of old school Roy Rogers nuggets, and thats a good thing. Mashed potatoes… don’t bother (although my wife disagrees)
Last but not least, as the finale, were the apple nuggets. Just awesome tasting mini apple fritters like at a carnival.
If you are the faint at heart, or dieting, this is not for you. But if you want a solid chicken meal, and good sides, and love you fried food, live it up and enjoy for quite reasonable prices.

I love the fried chicken. I am not a salt freak so it was perfect. The shrimp and fries were done well for a chicken place. They should expand to a bigger place. Mac and cheese awesome. Would order from here again

Wow that was the best chicken. That I ever had! Came out to see my mom from Brooklyn N.Y. That was the best in New York! 5 stars! Juicy mouth watering! Next time I come out her must try there Ribs! Thank you. Chicken Sensation. Better then Brooklyn

The price was reasonable, the service was outstanding. We ordered a family meal which was a sampler. It came with chicken, ribs, shrimp, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw and dinner rolls.
The chicken was cooked to perfection, hot, juicy but not properly spiced and certainly under-​salted. The popcorn shrimp was very good. The ribs were too vinegary and a little tough. The mashed potatoes were dry and the gravy was lacking.
Would definitely order again but would stick to the chicken and the shrimp.

Just checked out this place for dinner after reading the good reviews. The place looks sketchy not doubt about it but the food is good and they have alot to choose from. The fries aren’t very good but that’s not why you come here is for the chicken! And the chicken was good not great but I still really liked it. I will definitely be back. I would recommend anyone who likes chicken and anything fried to check this place out.

Very friendly great for delivery and they really try to cater to different diets. I went there with a bunch of friends expecting not to eat anything because I don’t eat meat but the owner was super friendly and made me something special. It was really nice :)

First let me start off by saying… do these guys like sports or do these guys like sports? lol
Sports commentary on the tv, fan merchadise on the walls, they even commented go giants to a couple of the customers upon exit. They have 2 stadium seats in the waiting area which look like they have have come from Shea Stadium (they were blue and orange.)
The guy behind the counter knows his stuff. It seems like he knows what comes with any platter or special by memory. He is also super efficient when taking your order. Confirms which parts of chicken you want without having to be asked. Offers you a choice of sauces and or combo’s of both and is very friendly. Most places don’t give or offer anything until you ask.
This is a takeout kind of place. There is limit seating in the waiting area but no tables. I waited about 15 minutes for my order as promised. I didn’t call ahead since I wanted to scope it out first and check out the menu and specials.
The first thing I noticed was the chicken was very well cleaned. There’s nothing worse than dirty feathery chicken. I’m not even a huge fan of bone-​in chicken but when It’s clean I dont mind. The batter on the otherhand was pretty much flavorless but crispy. Nothing a few sprinkles of salt couldn’t fix.
When I bit into the fish, shrimp, and fries I found myself reaching for the salt yet again. If you are on a low sodium diet this is definitely the place for you. I dont think they used a single drop of salt in any of these recipes. The tartar and cocktail sauces provided are made by Kraft which is a better option that the cheap no-​name kind. They did not skimp out on the fries at all. The platter was full of them. The shrimp were also size appropriate as advertised to be super jumbo.
Since I am absolutely certain none of this food was pre-​cooked I think this place could benefit by adding a flavor/​spice intensity option to the fried chicken, wings, etc. The customer could specify and the order could be made exactly to their liking. A little cayenne, pepper, salt, and garlic powder never hurt anyone lol Another idea is they could offer a variety of dipping sauces like some of the other chicken wing spots.
I will give them this… the chicken is very juicy. The pieces are also large and high quality. Not just all bones and breading disguised as chicken. Particularly the breast peice. They know exactly the amount of time to fry it without overcooking and making it come out dry. The outside still remains crispy. Somehow even with the lack of flavor this place wasn’t really so bad. I would eat here again and try the ribs or the flounder next time.
Other notes: They only sell Pepsi, no Coke. They sell klondike bars for a dollar and have several varieties, other ice cream bars are 1.50 and other deserts like cake, cheesecake, etc. I paid with credit card and they offered to send a copy of my receipt to my phone. I guess they don’t have an actual credit card machine, probably one of those phone attachment card sliders. They also have a lot of awards, and other recognition posted on the walls. They appear to be a favorite in the community. They also offer gluten free options.

Ordered the fried chicken here. It’s pretty typical, but they give it to you in a giant tin platter! Didn’t expect the order to be so huge! Chicken is good but it wasn’t amazing. I also had the chicken wings, which i actually enjoyed better than the regular fried chicken. I didn’t really enjoy the sides with the exception of the onion rings.
This place is good if you’re ordering for a large party since they sell everything in platters! Perfect for catering.

Really, really, really awesome fried chicken and host of other fried goodliness run by a really friendly local artisan.
This place is your typical local fried food takeout/​delivery joint. There are no sit-​in tables, only pickup or delivery around the area. But who really sits in for a good meal of fried chicken or fish? Take it home, and start the partay.
The portions are fulfilling for the price, an advantage of the local joint as opposed to conglomerate franchises like KFC or Popeye’s. The fried chicken itself is amazing. The owner focuses less on the strange herbs and spices that usually accompany the breadding, and makes a great batch of plain, fulfilling, tasty, freshly fried skinless chicken.
They also cater other fried foods, including fish, clams, shrimps, etc. I’ve seen ribs, wings, and sandwiches on the menu too, but haven’t tried them yet. I’m too enamored with their fried chicken, and can’t get enough of it!
