At the suggestion of other users I tried the chicken shawarma sandwich as carry out and it did not disappoint. I poured the sauce that accompanies the sandwich as I ate and wished I had ordered another. I look forward to going back. Fresh ingredients, clean, fast. Bravo!

This place has awesome sandwiches. The dinner plates are okay, and there is plenty of meat given, but I felt the salad portion was a little small given the plate size. Personally, I would recommend the beef shawarma sandwiches for anyone planning to give this place a try.

If it wasn’t for their good sandwiches i wouldn’t come here at all sour vibe and not customer friendly. This place on 95th close to Robert’s road has very poor customer service. Counter Server/General Manager is very unwelcoming and very difficult to approach and speak too he seems to be in his own world angered about his previous relationship and gives me no attention at all an fyi your pita doesn’t come with the hummus make sure you order it because they don’t bother to tell you after they bag everything had to drive back i didn’t mind paying the extra dollar for 2 pieces of bread! But all in all i love there sandwiches i would only appreciate better managing skills.

Impressive, unbelievable and deliciously shocking taste of the real shawarma and falafel sandwiches in the United States PERIOD. If you are in Chicago and want to taste the real Ramallah, Palestine tasting sandwich stop here! Forget all those other copy cats. I am not related to any of those in this place, I am a visitor from San Diego, California.

This is one of the best places to get acquainted with Middle Eastern food. It’s very simple, very fast, and very good. It is highly recommended that at some point in time in your life, you try a shwarma. It very well may cure what ails ya ;)

I am giving Pita Land 2 stars only because the owners kids were loud and obnoxious. They were screaming and climbing on the booths. At one point even in the kitchen and behind the counter. Not sanitary or professional. I would have rated this place higher because the food is good. The mothers of the children didn’t say anything. Too bad the owners are not very professional because the food is good

Got a shwarma meal $ 9.75 was disappointed by portion size. These guys are cheap as fuck. For ten bucks I expect to be full not driving down the block for an Arby’s beef and cheddar(5⁄5 stars). This is an example of how cheap they are. They give you a little cup of ketchup. Nothing on the table. Nothing by the silverware. How do you know how much ketchup I want? Answer you don’t so let me decide. I don’t like having to keep getting up to ask for more. Shwarma was good but I can get a decent shwarma anywhere. Fry portion was on small side. Also cheap fuck give you a can of pop or bottle of water with meal so you can’t get free refills. Way to cut corners. Now I don’t like you

The bf and I came here for lunch today. I can’t say that I’m impressed with the food. From other reviewers I didn’t have the same experience, I’ve definitely had better. The quality of the food certainly warrants quantifying larger portions. The bf thought the food was pretty good but said he would have liked more food. I’m used to the yellow rice and they have a white rice with seasoning… bland and blah. We both had the chicken shawarma sandwiches and falafel in which I was unimpressed with the falafel as well. Oh on a high note I thought the garlic sauce was good.

The prices are quite high for the portions they give, very skimpy amount of shawarma hiding in an abyss of endless pita. And when you finally get to the shawarma it’s cold and bland. The wait was longer than average. It took about 25 minutes to get our food with only one other table waiting and only one of us eating ‘hot food’. Definitely not going there again. Oh, and in what universe does a restaurant NOT use dressing on a greek salad?! I asked the guy for some dressing, he just looked at me all dumb founded. I than asked for vinegar and oil at the very least. He handed me solo cups, one with vegetable oil(heart attack!) and the other with white vinegar. Balsamic? Olive oil? Red vinegar? Anything else?!? Nope! I took a pass and asked him for the tzatziki sauce he initially offered. He shot me a dirty look, I can only guess because of my being«indecisive». The sauce was like water, super thin and looked just like watered down yogurt or at best, thickened up whole milk. I poured the contents onto my plate of ample chunks of peppers(biggest part of the salad), tomatoes(next biggest part), two dried sliver onion ends(the kind you would throw away at home), few crumbles of feta(decent) and olive slices(the kind you get from a can). Yes folks, that’s it! The salad I can make on a lazy day can shame them by a land slide. Lastly, the guy has a habit of saying«you’re welcome» even when the occasion doesn’t arise. Me: «I’ve never been here before». The guy: «You’re welcome». Me: [In my head] Well that was awkward. lol And that concludes my Unilocal:)

The food beef or chicken shawarma were dry no flavor… the picture on the menu shows a wrap for combo 1 and i ended up getting POCKET Pita as a wrap lol… the reason its a wrap is because u dnt use pocket pita bread … Its too thick… So i felt like i was eating bread mostly … I asked about the thinner breead that is supposed to b used as a wrap and the owner said they dont hve that bread i said well ur picture is very confusing then! He didnt make any effort to make up for my dissappointment … Wont b going back My brother had the beef i had the chicken his beef was dry overcooked and no flavor as well i had the chicken… He ended up with bad stomach pain later so it wasnt fresh either SMHBAD

Nice little place if your looking for some quick Mediterranean. The beef shawarma was great, and the falafel was huge! I’m sure I’ll be back. UPDATE: I’ve been in several times since I wrote this review and still think this is an awesome spot for Mediterranean food. I really loved the combination plate, its huge but totally worth the $ 12 if you’re really hungry. Yum!
