Hickory Hills Deli

The first time I went there they spoke only in Polish. I told them in English what I wanted and got what I wanted. Same thing at checkout– gave me my total in Polish and I asked her how much in English and she was curt. 2^nd time I went back I specifically asked for smoked sausage and pointed to it the older lady was very rude and would only speak in Polish. I flagged down a younger gal behind the deli counter and she explained in Polish what I wanted. the older lady still messed it up and insisted on giving me fresh sausage (gross) and started yelling in Polish.
I will never go back there again they are so rude. Last time I checked we live in America where the primary language is English. Learn to understand it and speak it or you will continue to lose customers. God forbid, I’m Polish but don’t speak it, but even my Great Grandma learned English when she came here.

They make the freshest sandwiches in town. Love the kaiser rolls and other bread options. Just a great, family-​owned business.
