Lorena, do you know how to reach Juanita. I’m one of her clients but I lost her number and cannot find her. Yami salon doesn’t list a phone number. I really love the facials she does. Please let me know, thanks

I was easily able to make an appointment for a Saturday spray tan. The technician chose the appropriate color for me and artfully directed me through the process. She uses the organic dye and it didn’t smell any different than the creams and foams you buy in the store. She warned me no water on my body for 6 hours. Having never gotten a spray-tan before I was really impressed with the finished look. The sprayer even walked me to my car with a large umbrella to prevent the rain from ruining my color. $ 45 later I have color. The spa itself seemed clean and serene. The only problem I had was when I called to make an appointment the receptionist didn’t speak English so she had to get another person on the line.

If you’re looking for a place that isn’t filled with«Real Housewives» wannabes and take pampering you seriously then this is the place to go. They were located in the Pal Med Building in Hialeah for many years but can now be found in a smaller more personal setting in Miami Lakes. They have a wide range of services you could imagine: massages, waxing, manicures, pedicures, and facials, full on salon services including treatments for your hair, the list goes on… and they ALWAYS have great package deals! Check out their website. I am lucky enough to always receive one of their package deals for holidays and really look forward to my time at the spa. Most recently for my birthday I received a package which included 1 hour full body massage, 1 hour deep facial and manicure & pedicure. The woman who performs the facial has been with The Floridian for years and has a magic touch. She uses quality products and really takes her time to ensure your facial is done right and you get the results you want to look and feel your best. What I like most with her is she’ll remain quiet throughout the procedure(if you want) or she’ll go over it step by step so you are aware of what’s going on. I sometimes prefer not to talk so I can truly sit back and relax. This last time I had a new person do my manicure and pedicure and although she was very nice I could tell she was very nervous which in turn made me nervous. But the women I’ve had before worked very well and were very nice. When having a message the experience begins the moment you walk into the dimly lit room with soft music playing. You can smell a light scent of warm vanilla or lavender which relax you right away… ahhhh The décor might be a little retro but very nice and more importantly the place is CLEAN, the staff is friendly and you always relax while you are there. The only negative was when I got there I was asked if I wanted something to drink(water, tea, etc.) but wasn’t’ asked again until I was getting ready to leave. I would like to see them offer me another drink while getting my pedicure done. Overall I really like this place and recommend it. I know, you’re going to tell me Massage Envy has better prices and my answer is going to be. You get what you pay for. The last time I went to Massage Envy I felt as if I was in a cattle run. I was rushed in and rushed out not to mention the fact Massage Envy is NOT a full service spa and The Floridian is. For a real spa treatment and a day of being treated like a princess my choice is The Floridian Day Spa in Miami Lakes. Tell them Astrid sent you!
