Montes De Oca Original Pizza Cubana

This review is not about the food. It is about the dirty place and the bad customer service. I mean hello owners this place has a lot of churre, it is disgusting eating there it looks like a cafeteria located in Centro Habana. We are in the united states just in case you forget. Besides, the ladies there are so mean and they do not want to work at all. They think they are inn cuba where nothing matters. If you fixed all that I assure you, you will get much more customers, because me personally love the pizza, but I don’t go anymore because of that. but the one in 8^th street has the worst management, the manager is always yelling at the workers in front of the customers, I can’t stand that lady. The only one that is a little better is the newest one by 7 y la 27. Stop hiring rude people and clean the place.

Hialeah Drive Location Only! Horrible service! Placed a phone order to be picked up, said it would be done in 15 minutes. Got there 30 mins after the call was placed and all the employees were laughing cracking jokes and took about 5 minutes to even acknowledge I was there. Once I said I was there to pick up my order was lost. They couldn’t find the paper where they wrote down my order. I left. it was ridiculous and the employees tone was nasty. If the owner wants to keep this business going he should reevaluate his employees. I will never be back there.

Walked into this place at 11:38 pm on 02/​18/​2014 and found a very clean, very cold and very empty dining room, like a museum. Young lady attending there immediately gave us the carra de perra look.

Politely asked if they were open for business, going once going twice and third time I had to raise my voice to make sure she was not hard of hearing.
Her response on the third unanswered question was quote SI SI! End quote.
Quite apparent that this little pile of human waste was clearly not in the mood to do her job.
At that point anyone else would have gotten up and left but silly me I give every place I visit the benefit of the doubt so I proceeded to ask for two cortaditos (small milk with cuban coffee very sweet) and some buttered cuban toast.
Her response was quote, we don’t serve breakfast at this time so I’ll find out from the cook if he’s willing to pull out some bread for toast, end quote.
She proceeded to slam the place mats on the counter in front of us and tell us in an authoritative tone that cash only and are you going to eat here, we said yes and it made her even angrier at our response by the dirty look on her face.
Now at this point she could kiss my royal ass and I then told her goodnight and she snatched the place mats and threw them to the adjacent counter.
Unilocalers I hope that such a nicely kept eatery such as this choose their evening help a lot better than the woman there tonight and hope this review finds its way to the owners so they fire her non job wanting ass.

Pizza and the sandwiches I had were good. The chicken wings were one of greasiest I’ve ever had.
I gave a two bc the services have been shoddy at best. Granted, it’s a «hole-​in-​the-​wall» type of place so I’m not expecting a Prime 112 treatment. Although I speak Spanish, some people that have come with me do not. The waitresses make absolutely no attempt to communicate in English once they see that someone does not speak Spanish. Yes, I know location’s in Hialeah. That’s still no excuse.
Second, the service experienced tonight was courtesy of a very disgruntled waitress. I won’t bore the readers with the myriad of ways she was rude, but suffice to say, service was simply atrocious.

The taste brought my parents back to their days in Cuba. This pizza is very authentic. I highly recommend the Pizza with ham topping.

Their Cuban style pizzas are amazing. Also love their spaghetti napolitano… yumm…

El sitio no es lindo ni decorado especialmente pero venden una de las mejores pizzas en Miami, Pizza Cubana estilo Varadero, servida en tamano personal, recien hecha con una masa deliciosa, suave y crujiente en los bordes a la vez, hecha con queso de verdad, hay muchas variedades pero las que yo probe fueron la de chorizo y extra queso (mmmm deliciosa) y la hawaianna que a mi gusto estaba aun mejor, mucho queso, pina y jamon y el sabor de la masa y la salsa son muy buenos. Definitivamen te Mejor que cualquier pizza de cadena americana. Precios desde 6.75. Tambien tienen Jugos naturales o batidos de fruta, Mamey, Guanabana, mora .
He bajado el rating de 4 a 3 estrellas de este sitio debido a que la calidad de algunos de los platos no es consistente, La ultima vez que estuve pedimos Lasagna y Spaguetti «Montes de Oca» los cuales no estuvieron bien, el tamano de la lasagna era notablemente mas pequeno y de peor sabor que la ultima vez, y el Spaguetti estaba muy cocido (overdone) y la salsa y el pollo estaban frios aun estando debajo por lo que deduje que la pasta la habian recalentado por lo que no calento debajo… Sigo pensando que por el contrario la pizza sigue siendo buena considerando precio/​calidad/​sabor
