Ginny’s Beauty Salon

This place has been here for many years. I used to accompany my grandmother when I was a kid. I’ve just recently moved back into the neighborhood and was in dire need of a haircut. So, I decided to give this place a shot since it was still around and so close to me. I’m so glad I did!
I didn’t have an appointment, but they took care of me right away. I have very long and straight hair. I told the stylist to please just cut a little to get rid of some split ends and freshen up my layers. Not only did he do what I wanted, but he exceeded my expectations. I’m in love with my cut. The way he layered makes my hair look fuller and with more volume. He was fast too.
I was about to pay when the owner, whom runs the front desk and has been for as long as I can remember, tells me about the mani/​pedi specials they have. $ 22.00 Thurs.-Sat. and $ 20.00 Tues. & Wed. I thought, «why not take advantage while I’m here?» I asked her if there was a chance I can also get a mani/​pedi and she immediately accommodated me. The nail lady, Tere, was awesome. She really did a great job. There’s a $ 1 up charge for the French, but I went ahead with it anyway. It was a great price to begin with, so I didn’t mind.
It was nice to see that a local business has been able to survive for so long. I recommend this little place to anyone. I love my hair and I love my mani/​pedi. Not to mention the price and the overall attentiveness of the owner. I’ve found my go to salon (again).

So I discovered this place out of pure desperation one morning. I was about to leave for the weekend and didn’t have time to get a mani/​pedi so I got up really early and decided that I’d give this place a try.
What a wonderful experience, not only are they open at odd hours so you can pretty much come in outside of the regular rush these types of places have, but they provide efficient and top notch services for a fraction of the price of other places. I got a mani/​pedi for under $ 20 and I was out of there in less then an hour. Beat that!
All the ladies who work there are complete characters. I am entertained by their quirky an colorful conversations the whole time I’m there, and the time just flies by.
I go there all the time now. Truly a diamond in the rough.
