Bianca is a star! She knows how to multitask and take care of multiple clients at once. My hair feels very healthy and soft, I can’t remember the last time someone was able to make my hair feel like that!

I am new to the area and stumbled upon this Gem today and I couldn’t be more happy. I have natural hair that was dying for attention today! Bianka is one of the sweetest beauticians I’ve ever met! Most importantly she is knowledgeable in hair care and communicates well with her clients!!! My hair is smooth, silky and smells delicious I’m happy to say I’ve found a home for my hair !! I am a natural African American woman and Bianca did wonders to my hair. Right after I left the salon I got compliments on top of compliments. Definitely my new hair spot!

I am an African American female with natural hair. Soly provided me with a wash, trim, blow out and press. This was only my second time in two years pressing my natural hair and I must say she did and awesome job.

I have had the worst of hair moments, from a bad perm to hair pulling extensions, and my hair was never been how it use to be. I went to countless hair salons and my hair just wasn’t growing. Instead i felt like it was getting thinner. When i discovered Dominican Hair Design it all changed. Matty and Bianca do an amazing job, and its quick. I come in and I’m done in an hour. My hair is finally growing and looks amazing. No longer do i have to hide under extensions. Before the wait time was bad but that was because a lack of stylist but now they are staffed and the longest you’ll wait is 10min.

Nice family business. Service is always good and prices are very reasonable. I’ve been coming here for the past 4 years. They have started renovating and the improvements are coming along nicely. I always leave feeling great about my hair! Bring cash, they don’t accept credit cards.

So I am Jamaican and white. I have very curly thick hair and I had given up on it because it was just too much to deal with. I could never find a place that I trusted enough to cut my hair. I lived in New Hampshire for my whole life and there are like no places that do my type of hair. Then I moved to Texas for a little while and just could not find a place that could do my hair. So I waited until I moved to Miami FL and God answered all my prayers with this place. I Absolutely love love love my hair. Bianca did it and she is so amazing. She did my hair while she was having prenatal cramps (I felt so bad) but she is such a sweet lady. Despite all of that she did such a beautiful job. My new favorite place and person.
If you are looking for a place to get your hair done and you have the same problem as me seriously take my word on it. This place will get the job done and you will love the results.
I only gave it 4 stars because of the décor inside. It could use a little up dating.

Where do I begin…
I have been coming here for about 3 months now and I honestly don’t know why I keep coming back. But I know for a fact today is my last time here.
THEY ARE VERY SLOW… Be prepared to wait at least an hour or two before you begin and at least 4 hours before you are done.
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL… They talk shit about you with each other IN YOUR FACE. How rude.
THEY DRINK ON THE JOB… bottles everywhere like its a party.
THERE ARE KIDS RUNNING AROUND like its a daycare. I understand it’s a family owned business but you shouldn’t have your children running around, knocking over things, jumping on chairs. Riding bicycles through the place, taking naps on the chair in the waiting area.
THEY ARE WAYYYYYYYY TOO EXPENSIVE. $ 40 – 50 for a wash and set doesn’t matter if your hair is short they will charge you a ridiculous amount. They will tell you one price over the phone then when you are there charge you twice the original price they told you.
THEY WILL TAKE BREAKS EVERY 30 MINUTES. HIDE IN THE BACK, USE THEIR PHONES, LEAVE THE SALON TO DO ERRANDS AND HAVE YOU WAITING AT THE SALON LIKE IDIOTS
THE PEOPLE WHO LEAVE «good» REVIEWS ON HERE ARE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. AND THE LADIES HERE SEEM TO TREAT THEM LIKE ROYALTY AND WILL WORK HARD ON.
Don’t waste your time and money!

I am only giving this place one star because they made me to write this review. I will start by saying they burned my head when they put in the relaxer, leaving me now with countless burn marks and having to use aloe vera burn gel to help them heal. I told the woman it was stinging and to wash it out… she laughed and continued on. I told her again and at that point should have got up and washed my own head. She was on the phone the entire time, not paying attention at all — leading her to take over an hour to put in the relaxer, my head went numb. it is a complete joke that this place is even allowed to hold a hair license.

This is my spot. I’ve been going there for about a year now. SOLANGEL aka Soli is the absolute truth. Shes hair smart, educational, fast, and all about pleasing the client. I Love the fact that I’m in and out of there in no time at all even though sometimes I stay because we’re having so much fun.
The prices are reasonable and every head she touches turns to gold!

No no no no no! Horrible the lady is completely clueless on cutting and blow drying hair,!!! Coming here is a waste of time since they are oh so super slow & money… Just scroll down and click on «not recommended reviews» those are the real reviews that should be showing up smh super disappointed.

I’m glad I didn’t do my hair here, but I did come in to ask for prices. They charge too much and don’t seem professional at all. Just warning people: over priced, unprofessional, didn’t ask if I needed a hair cut yet she ran her fingers thru my hair for no reason & told me I have split ends and need a hair cut: l I like my split ends

My first time here after months of being perm less. Bianca took my hair on, and a few hours later had it from unruly Afro curls to silky soft, flowing in the wind, bouncing with every step hair that I could not keep my hands out of.
Typical Dominican atmosphere. Music playing, laughing, talking, and close family, but it did not bother me or take away from my hair experience.

I was dying to find a really good hairstylist since this was my first time painting my hair. Not only they are super friendly they know what they are doing, my stylist was Bianca. She was magnificent, I told her my hair was Virgin and she took we’ll care of it. I would recommend her a lot, she did an amazing job

This was my first visit to the salon, I had seen it several times on Unilocal but never made an appointment. Juana waited for me to arrive after work and gave me one of the best relaxer, roller set, and blow out I have had, with no burning and even throughout. My roots are Pakistani and African American so it is imperative that the person styling my hair knows not to use a harsh relaxer! Juana was a professional, she knew my texture of hair and I didn’t even have to tell her which side to part my hair on she remembered from when I walked in!
I will be returning when I need a relaxer or good blow-​out!

I’m very picky with who touches my hair. For me finding the perfect hair styles is crucial. But miss Juana was very nice from the very phone call. She did my hair with care, I guess she knew that that’s what I needed, someone who would care for my hair just as much as I do. Yes, I highly recommend this place. I’ll go back, I’m super happy with the result and the service :)

This is the best Dominican salon in Miami! I do my hair with Bianca usually and she is very good but today she wasn’t there so I did my hair with her mother Juana who does great as well. I recommend this place to everyone. I do suggest that you always call ahead and make an appointment so that you don’t wait a long time.
