BJ’s Wholesale Club

I love this BJs club because they have so many organic items. Organic food can be rather expensive. However, this is not the case at BJs. The price for organic food is as though you were buying regular items elsewhere. Only thing is that you’ll have to buy in bulk quantities. I especially LOVE the handheld price guns. They make self-​service shopping so much easier.

This is not my preferred BJ’s. The only reason for this title is because I would rather not shop where people live in their own universe. Such as: leaving your cart in the center of the isle, talking on the phone and walking away while you decide what detergent you are going to buy. Don’t waste my time. And then give me a bad face when I move your cart out of the way. Places to go, people to see, person! The selection is not great, but hey I don’t expect to buy everything in bulk sizes so that’s quite alright. My biggest pet peeve is always the «shrinkage» check person before leaving. I understand they need to check and make sure there is no theft but do you really need to check each item against the receipt? Makes for an enormous line when you are trying to get out of the store. Maybe they should hire more people if this is what they need to do.

This is the spot when I need to get things in bulk. What I don’t like about this BJ’s though is that they make such a big deal with those damn coupon books. It’s like dude relax. Another thing is the selection of things. Come on really there are certain things that you just can’t get. Oh and let’s say this month you buy a certain item that worked well for you well make sure you buy plenty because next month it may not be there. That has happened to me with two particular items. And it’s not like they don’t have it next month it’s like they haven’t had it now the past 4 times I have gone.

I love grocery shopping here. More bang for my buck! I always do the self check isle so I’m not sure how the service is other than when the machine won’t scan meat which is quite often.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now, simply because I have mixed feelings about it. Some times I love it, most times I hate it, and plan on never going back. I used to go Costco for like 6 years, always thought it was little expensive but I really enjoy going there, they had a great selection and the staff was always so nice and helpful. But one day this lady came into my office selling BJ’S memberships, it was $ 10 cheaper a year plus 6 months free, but what really sold me was the fact that at BJ’S you can use manufacturers coupons while at Costco you can’t. So I have been going to BJ’s and they have more variety of products than Costco, and since I’m a coupon clipper, I’m always amazed of how much money I can save going to BJS“S, I always bring my coupons, plus they send home a coupon booklet every month, and they also print out weekly coupons, every time I go shopping I save between $ 15 and $ 60. But I have to say that the service is absolutely terrible. my last visit was on a Sunday I went with my two girls, when it came time to pay I decided to go on a self checkout because the reg. cashiers lines were too long, big mistake!!, this machine was not working properly so it took me about half an hour just to check out the groceries, the lady had to keep coming back and forth because the machine keep on returning the items, finally when it came time to do the coupons she told me to give them to her because she had to enter them by hand because the machine scan didn’t work, that was an extra half an hour. Finally I’m ready to leave and they don’t have any boxes to put the groceries in, like they always do at the exit of the store, so I ask the lady that checks the receipt at the exit and she told me to go back inside because they relocate the boxes to where all the cashiers are, when I’m touring around the other lady at the entrance checking for memberships, starts screaming at me telling me that I’m not allowed to go in, now I’m pissed because the other lady said i could go back, I went back anyways, I get my boxes, the kids are of course tired and screaming too, next thing I know I have the manager of the store asking to check my receipt again and the security guard following me to the exit. I felt violated, I mean with a cart completely full of groceries and two small kids, do I really looked like a person who wants to steal groceries from BJ’S?. terrible experience, definitely not worth the savings. I’m switching to another wholesale club.

I get angry every single time I come here. Not angry enough to «BOO» but angry none the less. The prices aren’t that much cheaper per ounce or unit than if you were to buy it at the local publix. The selection is horrible, I do not want plain Cape Cod chips… I like flavored chips but they want me to buy the industrial sized plain and I refuse. They have large amounts of garbage and it makes me angry that I keep coming back. They also do NOT have bags to put the stuff you buy in but they do provide the boxes but the boxes are not complete boxes. They are only half boxes that used to contain juice or candy bars so nothing fits in them and in essence we are cleaning up for them by using them.
«Why two stars George?» I guess it’s pretty good for dog food and doggie treats. They also always have people giving away free samples of stuff so that’s pretty cool.
Meh, I’ve experienced better
