Love this place, hang out here when I can. Great food, closes late, it’s great

My first time visiting and I waited 30 minutes in the drive thru to be told «sorry we’re closed at this time». I will never come back!

It was disgusting! The hotdogs were cold and I ordered a foot long and it was 2 hotdog buns stuck together. They put more relish than there was hotdog. It was literally the most disgusting thing I’ve ever ate and I’m not a picky eater AT ALL!

Sonic reminds me so much of home, that I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to check this one out!
The greatest part of eating at a Sonic is when they skate out to bring you your food. It’s such a small little thing, but it’s part of the whole experience! (I wonder if they’re required to do that while it’s raining??? I hope not!)
I love their grilled cheese, and tater tots. It’s complete junk food, and I adore every greasy calorie I eat. If this location wasn’t 45 minutes from my house, I’d definitely make it my go to drunk-​munchies spot! Alas, it’s really far, so I’ll just stick to ordering pizzas.
Their burgers are yummy as well, but their happy hour drinks are probably the best thing on the menu. It’s hot as heck here in SoFlo, so you already know that cold drinks are in high demand. They have a really broad menu, so even the pickiest of waters will find something they like to drink! (I can say this with absolute certainty because I’m the #1 pickiest eater in the state.)
Don’t visit and expect a 5-​star dining experience. It’s a fast food place with workers on roller skates.

Fast food is average. Drinks are a big seller, specially in hot days. The service is fast and friendly.

Is not a healthy food option but at least you can find good chicken tenders. The service is very slow. I normally wait in the drive thru of a fast food chain less than 7 min and here I’ve taken 15 minutes. I think is ridiculous and they lack efficiency. They always make me wait before ordering food. They should have a faster system and take customers orders while charging the customer ahead. They also forget to give you the sauces and essentials unless your order It. Quality over quantity.

Yummy! Good burgers, shakes, and slushies. The service the times I’ve come has been fast, didn’t wait long for it. So glad they built one in Hialeah.

I’ve been to plenty of Sonic’s, my first being outside of Houston just a little under 10 years ago.
To finally see a Sonic in the metro area is really nice, and this is the first Sonic Beach I have seen. While outside of the theming I’m not sure what may be too different despite the fact that my usual bacon toaster wasn’t on the menu? Though I know the Sonic in Jensen Beach has it.
Again typical Sonic, the food came out promptly and hot and my Cherry Limeade was perfect. Though they didn’t put my cherry in it at this location, it still wasn’t bad.
While I wasn’t there during the opening I didn’t experience the negatives that others have experienced. Our carhop was friendly and very nice, he was also prompt and asked us twice if we needed sauces or anything else.
So why the 4 stars? Well the credit card reader wasn’t working on my order panel, so he had to skate off with my card. My other issue was the fact that the girl who took my order was very rude and when I asked for a substitution she immediately snapped at me and told me no. I have never experienced that at any location and I have even split orders in a car jammed with 5 others at another location and had no issues.
Outside of those issues, it’s a Sonic if you come here expecting Houston quality meat and Disney customer service then you should probably keep driving. If you want a carhop experience and just enjoy burgers and fries this place is for you.

Terrible this place is nice but they will charge you for anything. They even charge for refills, even high end restaurant give refills. This sonics is an over price McDonald’s. Shakes are mediocre at best staff is doesn’t care nor go above and beyond to serve you! Just not worth the time, drive, or money !

I’ve been waiting for a sonic to open by my house for a long time. As soon as I heard this one was opening I rushed over excited to enjoy their tasty treats.
Unfortunately the experience wasn’t that great because of some of the staff there. I’m sure there’s a lot of training that’s happening right now because they just opened, but you probably shouldn’t be training someone during a lunch rush when a lot of people are in a hurry and hungry.
As soon as I walked inside there wasn’t a clear area where you can wait in line or not. The line kind of goes in through the tables were people are sitting and eating.
I know this is the place I usually drive up to to get the food. But I think they should focus on the people that are going to go inside to eat as well.
I ordered a double cheesy bacon hotdog with tater tots and a cherry limeade drink. Unfortunately they didn’t bring me that when they brought me my food. So they had to take it back and it took even longer to fix my order because they were confused.
Once all that happened I finally got my food. And it was good. I went up to get a refill of my cherry limeade, but they don’t do refills for a cherry limeade you have to buy another drink. That’s a bummer.

I love this place! It has such a diverse menu compared with other fast food spots. Aside from the usual, one can get hot dogs and Philly Cheese Steaks sandwiches too.
Their frozen drinks are made with real juice compared to their artificial counterparts at Taco Bell or 7Eleven. I combined Grape, Sour Apple & Cranberry and it was the bomb! The French Fries were made with real potatoes!
Their burgers surpass the competition. They are made so pretty and stacked with fresh and natural ingredients. Sonic surpasses McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy. I feel their burger is better than Five Guys and almost reaches the level of Fuddruckers.
And the ice cream is on the level of Dairy Queen or better!
Oh and the service is so cool too, staff brings the food out while gliding in their roller skates. How cool is that — nobody else does that?!
I wish that they would mix up the music more. Here in Hialeah, the spoken language is 90% Spanish. It would be cool to hear some spanish tunes alongside english ones. After all, Hispanics are probably the majority who spend their money in this branch.

I ate inside, which was completely empty. Probably because it was a week day. They took a while to get our order because the cashier had to count her money, which is understandable. Our order came extremely quick and the server was really nice. I had a double cheeseburger combo and it was honestly delicious and very juicy. Afterwards we got a butterfingers sonic blast, and I have to say I was a bit disappointed because all there was, was two chunks of butterfingers at the top and then the rest was vanilla ice cream. I kind of expected a little more.

This has got to be the worst sonic location yet. Starting from the inexperienced staff who lack basic common sense, to the mediocre food. We ordered onion rings and were told they ran out, so I told the worker to remove them from the order. When i went to pay to my surprise i was being charged for them. When I asked i was told «we were able to make them just for you guys» against my better judgment i said fine. When i get home i look at them and see 3 cold stale onion rings in the bag. I am pretty sure that a small order brings more than 3. I will definitely never come back again!

First & last time here. Food was cold & didn’t taste like anything. Milkshake wasn’t even blended, all of the fruit was sitting at the bottom & it was room temperature. Probably worse than McDonalds.

They even skate your dinner when you sit on the indoor area!
That being said, the latest entrance to Hialeah Gardens’ restaurant row needs a little bit of work. I heard about this chaim thru their folksy commercials and even ate at one in central Florida a few years back (might even be a review for it) so I was glad when they came to my neck of the woods. Seeing as though there was a bit of a line at the drive thru, I noticed there’s also an inside dining space. The cashier was pleasant enough, but the dining room décor needs somework. There’s an irregular scattering of tables, plus a huge empty space in the center of the dining room. Vibe, at least indoors, is your basic fast food restaurant.
As far as food, I ordered their double cheeseburger and though sizeable and fairly juicy, nothing really jumped out as an essential burger joint. At least they got my buegger right with no mayo. My main «beef» with them is their fries. As you can see in the photo, the regular fries are really small. I’m talking about smaller than my hand small. The fries could have been crisper as well. The saving grace was the waffle Sunday I got for dessert. It had a nice spread of thin toasted waffles and actual strawberries. Maybe I’ll just stop by for dessert.

Beware of stupid people that come here to eat. Staff looks overwhelmed and expect a long line for service. Blah.

This was just MY experience:
I’m not sure who is doing the hiring, but they should take some time out to properly train the staff and give them time to learn the menu.
First time we went, there was flies EVERYWHERE, the patio style seats are extremely uncomfortable, 2 orders took 15 minutes to explain and the server should have at least washed his hands, or cut his long dirty nails before serving the food.
The lines are ridiculous and people are like savages– waiting to get a spot in line to park and then parking anywhere they want.
On a positive note, the burgers weren’t too bad, but the tater tots where old, stale & overcooked. I hope they get this place right.

They just opened and we’ve come twice they are learning the menu still but the food is good and speed is consistent with the other Sonics.

Service is HORRIBLE!!! Had to repeat my order to the girl SIX TIMES — argh! THEN… When the car hop comes to give us our order, she’s asks US to calculate the change FOR HER! Seriously! I’m giving it two stars because the shake that my husband ordered was good (he said).

Since this just opened the lines are long and the set up for the five thru does not make sense. You go in at the side where you order but have to go all the way around. Then there is a line for those that want to park at the ordering parking section. Finally someone asks if that Is what you are on line for. .no. … then you need to maneuver around that line to get in the drive thru line. You place the order and get to the window and get your food. You now need to merge with the line which is driving in which are going to the drive thru or the ordering parking section. Not very organized thinking. Hopefully it will get better as the new restaurant in town dies down. Shakes are delicious.
