This seems to be a very nice eatery and the only item I have sampled so far is the pizza … The Neapolitan pie is not very good … An 18 inch pie weighs about 6 grams … No cheese … Light on the sauce… in fairness I will sample a pasta entrée and amend my review if warranted.

Best pizza in Nassau County! I love every single type of pizza I’ve ever had from them. My favorites are the buffalo chicken, regular slice, or anything with vegetables on it. One night I wanted pasta and I even ordered the spaghetti and meatballs from them and it was delicious. Customer service is pretty good. They are also really fast. You won’t spend a lot of time waiting around for your food. The prices are okay, can’t complain about that. If the quality is good I’m willing to pay. I’m usually eat the pizza and leave the crust type of person, but at marinara I finish everything. Definitely visit this place!

Ahhh… New York pizza!!! Not nearly as easy to find these days with pizza chains popping up all over the place… serving«phony» mass produced«pizza». However, Marinara continues to bring us true New York style pizza, and much more. In a word, the pizza is excellent! The variety of choices seem virtually endless, including«Specialty Pies» that are imaginative and delicious! I highly recommend their«Grandma Pizza». It’s the best on Long Island. Not in the mood for pizza? Want to have an Italian dinner instead? Marinara’s dinner menu is extensive and the food is delicious… much better than one would expect in a «pizza joint». The prices are reasonable. The quality is excellent and the staff is good. After 25 years in south Nassau County. it remains my go-to pizza parlor.(does anyone call them«parlors» anymore?) :-) I highly recommend Marinara!

Marinara is a restaurant with a huge five town following. The food is very good and their pizza selection is vast. They also serve lunch salads for the afternoon crowd. Their parmigiano dishes are very good as well as their pasta dishes. They are always crowded with many regulars.

Have not been to this place in years, but I think I am the one who missed out. Great Pizza in many varieties. The Rigatoni Ala Vodka was fantastic. Service was good and it was not only good to look at because it looked very authentic Italian and its taste was fabulous. Serving size is big so you can share some items. They could work on their Garlic bread as they could do better. Friendly good service.

The food was delicious. My kids had a Ceasar salad. I had a chicken parm with penne. My husband had penne ala vodka. We will definitely come back when I’m in the mood for Italian food again. The space for sit down eating was a comfy fit but you acan also order to go.

I came in for a silician slice which was 2.60(seems like all the slices are the same price because my cousin had a buffalo chicken slice for the same price. Anyway, my slice was a little to chewy for my liking but it was good, my cousin said her slice was great. The décor is very nice and it looks like a great place to host an event. I would differently come back again.

I’ve been going to this restaurant ever since I was a teenager, whether it’s ordering pizza and taking it to go or having a sit-down meal. Every meal starts off with complimentary bread and they’re always fresh. I always like to order their calamari— it has the right amount of crisp to it. Yesterday when I ate with my family I shared a buffalo chicken brick-oven pizza. It’s a little spicy, so I recommend asking for some blue cheese to dip it in. The size of the pizza was perfect for the both of us. My dad ordered a chicken roll and it was GREAT. For dessert, I decided to get a tartufo, which is ice cream with a chocolate coating. It wasn’t too sweet surprisingly and the portion makes it shareable. This place always has great customer service and the bus boys are very attentive to tables so once you’re done with your plate, it’ll be removed in no time. This is a great Italian place close to Valley Stream!

The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was perfect. Every time we come here, there is always a line out the door for taking out, so you know it’s fresh food. We went to the sit down section, they gave us garlic bread, when we sat down which was so good, but we had to stop eating it because we wanted pizza. Then we had the house special pizza, which was pepperoni, meatball, black olives, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, extra cheese, and anchovies on the side. It was great and fresh. The only thing i would say is the vegetables needed some sait. Then we had the black & white moose which was ok, it could of used more chocolate. All and all it was an amazing place, love coming here XD!!!

I stayed at a hotel by JFK last night. Surprisingly, the food choices are very limited. My friend and I went here to get a combo pizza. It was huge. You can choose between Sicilian and Neopolitan. Sicilian is thick and rectangular, Neopolitan is thin and round. We chose the Sicilian. The crust was far too thick for my liking. The sauce was pretty flavorless and there were far too many vegetables that were cooked far too thick. The meat toppings were very good though. Overall, I was very disappointed in this pizza. I came to NY hoping to get some good pizza. I know that this wasn’t NYC but I was still very disappointed. The service was very good though. The servers were very nice, prompt with ordering and bringing food out, and keeping water refilled.

Always a great experience and delicious meal. I’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Real Italian flavor and one of the best homemade marinara sauces I’ve ever tasted.

This review is wayyy overdo! Marinara is one of those places that will forever be near and dear to my heart. Throughout the last two decades of my life that I’ve been eating here, I’ve always been really happy with the food, service, atmosphere, everything. The food is really very good and they have all the usuals that you’d expect from a pizzeria. Every slice is quality — regular, grandma, buffalo, Sicilian, you name it. They always have fresh slices even during«off peak» times — a lot of people come here so there is usually quick turnover with the food. The guys working behind the counter move fast and do not waste any time. Also, if they see that you’re still waiting for a take out order that you called in, they’ll remind the kitchen to hurry it up. Overall, great communicate among all the staff which translates to fantastic service. Much appreciated. I also love their chicken paninis, tortellini soup, and garlic knots. I have yet to try garlic knots that are better than Marinara’s. Now lets talk about their chicken parm… Ingredients are always fresh. Their sauce is something else. *currently drooling* My dad is the biggest critic because Italian/American food is *always* too bland for him but even he raves about Marinara’s chicken parm. Also, the grilled chicken primavera is another favorite when I’m trying to be «healthy.» So flavorful and comes with a lot of vegetables. I’ve come here for a quick bite to eat, takeout, or to dine in the restaurant section. I’d say Marinara is better than the Pizza Place(the other popular pizzeria in Hewlett) in terms of their kitchen food, restaurant atmosphere, and service. Only thing is they don’t deliver which is unusual for a pizzeria. However, I will drive in a blizzard for Marinara.

This pizza place pretty good. I had the grand ma slice chicken roll, pepperoni pin wheel, pepperoni slice and everything had good flavor, good amount of toppings. The buffalo slice looked really good I’m try it next with the masala slice. The place looks nice. But just one thing the customer service could be a little better. The guys taking orders were rude to the lady next to me, the guy ducked his teeth and got an attitude when I asked to try the middle of the pie slice of the grand ma slice, and he snatched the credit card and just had a smart a mug on his face. Chill out guys your jobs ain’t that hard.

Dine or Ditch? Dine… on your Italian momma’s lasagna. I’ve been going to Marinara for several years and I’ve tried a number of things, most of which I’ve been happy with. They always start you off with some warm garlic bread that I tend to enjoy. After that I tend to enjoy more carbs. I’ve had their pizza(I tend to enjoy a fresh bar pie), the chicken parm, meatball parm, sausage hero, and lasagna quite often. All of which I truly enjoy and highly recommend. The tomato sauce is a great flavor and it’s used on almost everything I tend to get. My only issue is that from time to time I’ve gotten bad chicken(it breaks apart kind of like awkwardly as I bite into it) and that tends to be a turn off to me. It can happen anywhere, but it tends to stick in my mind and will keep me away from the chicken parm for a while. Overall, I would definitely stop in for some solid Italian food for a good price point.

We were a little skeptical at first to visit this restaurant but am I glad we took the risk! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall and I drove right past it looking for it. We went in and didn’t realize it was a restaurant because in the front half is the pizza shop. Once past the counter, we were seated and by the look of things they’re pretty popular. Once we had our bread, we were sold. Light garlic focaccia bread and Italian bread. The focaccia was great, my fiancé and I ended up fighting over it and taking some back to the hotel. I was worried about portion size as I’ve noticed in NY sometimes you pay big money for 3 bites of food, not a problem here! I ordered the Penne Madeira and my fiancé had the Rigatoni Fiorentina, BOTH were huge portions and absolutely delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with our incredible meals. The desserts are from a local bakery and were also fantastic! Couldn’t have been happier with our experience! Thanks, Marinara staff!

They actually speak Italian! I wish I knew what they talking about. Place is a large sit down and take out place. Clean. Plenty of booth space. Make sure you try the BISTROSALAD with grilled chicken. I made the mistake of saying just salad and they were nice enough to fix it for me.
