Stater Brothers gets just 3 stars for having some of the strangest employees. This chain in my option is run like a small military. In over 30 years at any Stater Brothers I have never found the employees to be welcoming.
The good:
Great Prices
Accessible Location
The bad:
Strange, unfriendly employees
Old, outdated stores that seem to be stuck in the early 80’s
Lacks much of a full service bakery (in most stores), or floral department
Did I mention strange?
If the prices stay low, I’m a customer for the rest of my days. Which are numbered

I like stater bros but they get over run by people asking me to buy things as I walk in and out of the door. I love the bakery here and the cakes are so yummy. I am not close to this location so I don’t come here often. It gets so crazy on the weekends and during the first if the month.

Stater Bros is not my favorite supermarket though they do have some plus points.
A good bakery (enjoy their cookies)
fresh fruit and veggies at a descent price
…and that’s where it ends.
It’s always full, the check out lines crazy long, service minimal, prices higher than most other supermarkets and not a huge selection.

Ordered chicken from the deli for Super Bowl Sunday. Was told I couldn’t pick it up til 3:15PM. Not a problem. When I picked it up, they were telling people that it would be one and a half hours for chicken, and they were out of white meat. I assumed that meant for future orders and the deli case. Got my 24 pieces of chicken home, and only had thighs and drumsticks. The drumsticks were the size of a cornish game hen’s leg. I should have been told there was no white me for my order and I wouldn’t have picked it up. I HATE dark meat. Really crappy service, and for the first time I have to say, their chicken was TERRIBLE and a joke for the money. I definately got SCREWED!!!

I agree with the previous reviewer. This place is horrible, I will not shop there again after receiving horrible customer service. The cashiers are so bitter and take it out on the customers. Management never does anything, just strut around in their brown vests as if they own the place. If you like trashy, bitter, and rude people, then shop at this store.

Horrible service! I will never shop here again. All the cashiers are always bitter and in a bad mood. The worse one of all is one by the name of «DEYSI» yes that’s the correct spelling of her name maybe that’s how it’s spelled in her home country lol. She takes her job as a «cashier» way too seriously. I was in there tonight to buy some wine when she asked for my age and my ID. As I was handing her my DL I made a joke that I was «16» when all of a sudden she took the wine away and told me that she couldn’t sell me the wine because I had stated I was «16» and that she wouldn’t sell it… For crying out loud lady I don’t look 16 I’m in my thirties.
I immediately called the store and the manager was shocked at what she had done and apologized for her rude behavior.
Stay away from this Stater Brothers market it seems that the employees run the store and not management.
