This place is yuck. Do not go here unless you want to get deathly sick from food poisoning! And don’t dare complain to the manager because he will tell you it’s your fault you got sick in the first place! This review is my opinion from a few years ago when my mother got very ill from eating at this place.

14.99 Sat & Sun for prime rib, and salmon dinner. Service is usually okay. Jus t had a server named Dezman and he was the best by far.

Not coming here again. Crowded, food just isn’t the best. Overall to me this place sucked. Wood grill buffet is on the same street I definitely suggest going there instead. If I could give this place 0 stars I would

To each their own, the food was amazing I didn’t have a single bite that didn’t surprise me. Unlimited steak, chicken, prime rib, pork chops for about $ 15 an adult… Cannot complain at all about that not for a minute. Unhappy with it get a different one! I wished for a wheel chair after coming here. The waiters are friendly FAST and efficient. I would like a little more attention to the bathroom floors. They were wet and I don’t want to pull my pants into it.

I’m a big fan of GC and I’ve gone to different location across the country when able to. In my opinion this location is simular to the rest(not the greatest food but it pretty darn good). Cleanliness is good around the food areas(main area of my concern). It took the attendant a little time to get around to the tables but it wasn’t annoyingly bad. I did have to go get my drink myself but I’m not tripping on that, as I like to go up and choose what I want to get or mix up . I think it cost me $ 17 just for myself to «Pig out.» Lol! That’s not too bad comparably since there are so many options to chose from for a full course meal.

NOTE: Since someone altered(diluted) the wording of our actual post, we wanted to resubmit it as originally written: We love Golden Corral and have dined in this restaurant in many states. This time we came to Hesperia to visit family and took them to the local restaurant for a mid-afternoon lunch. We had by far the worst experience of any GCs we have visited. First price: the buffet was higher than advertised on their website and when we got to the restaurant we were charged more than the price written on the placard above the cash registers. When mentioned to the manager, he seemed offended and merely said that minimum wage had recently increased. I asked how he could charge more than what was even advertised in the same store. He was displeased and mumbled something to himself. Second, service was poor. We cleared our own dishes from our table and some even had to refill our own drinks. Third, the only meat offered from the grill were dinky 2 ½ inch hamburgers. That was all! The steaks they were cooking at the time were not offered because they were intended for the salad bar after being cut into tiny pieces. After we left, some still hungry, my brother from Hesperia said, «Now you know why we never go there. «How embarrassing! Seems like a classic case of cost cutting while unfortunately hurting the overall image of a great restaurant chain.

Not as good as it once was, but I think it’s a chain thing, not the owners fault. It’s pretty clean. The staff is friendly. The cashier was slightly annoying. We had our money in our hand for a good three minutes while she talked on the phone. Our waitress more than made up for it. The food, as mentioned before isn’t as flavorful as it once was but its still good for the price.

This review is for Southern Californians who’ve never been to Golden Corral before. Think seriously before you go. We decided on the way back from a long desert trip to try it. Also, the servers and management shouldn’t think they don’t do a good job: they do. Morale looked good and all staff were doing their jobs. I witnessed no food service no-nos … And it would be impossible to keep this place clean since every large family in the High Desert obviously eats here all the time. It’s what Golden Corral IS. And if you love that, then this is a 5 star-plus review. Mmm mmm! It’s not that the food isn’t reasonably fresh … This place was packed on a Saturday night. It’s just that. Corral. Like a feedlot. Golden Corral is, seriously — like a feedlot for people. Move em in, fill em up, move em out. There are some serious food quality issues — like all the«homemade» and«farm fresh» isn’t. We debated whether or not the mashed potatoes were real for a while … I think they were dried potato goo with a few potato bits thrown in to fool people. The few salad items seemed fresh … Not that most patrons make it up to the North side of the feedlot. Once you enter these doors, you will be ushered through the feeding experience that is Golden Corral. You are a bipedal ape, so you can be trained to feed yourself unlike your bovine cousins. You will be seated amongst the others of your kind, including the omnipresent Screaming Baby. You will receive grilled meat, braised meat, fried meat and baked meat. Your plastic cheeze sauce is right next to your vegetable tray. You can have lots of starch items with gravy and they keep little flying saucer type waffles right next to the little flying saucer sausage patties. You will have all the dessert choices in the world … Except they all taste the same! 5 star quantity. Quality … Bland, similar, easy to chew … Just like oats laced with high fructose corn syrup. It may be an alien run chain. Like the first stop on the way«To Serve Man»(it’s a cookbook!)

This place was a mad house. The lady at the front didn’t greet us, the floors were dirty, and the food was terrible. Kids were running wild making a mess. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Maybe if the food was better I could overlook the craziness.

The server Francisco is very attentive and provided good service. The was below average on taste and lukewarm. The coffee creamer was terrible drink your coffee black. As far as cleanliness it was clean. Buffet presentation was terrible. It was very messy, food looked as if it was sitting there longer than necessary. Price great cannot beat it. All u can eat.

The food is always fresh and everything is always quite clean. I love Golden Corral but if you’re visiting this location it is advised to go before 5:00pm. Or before the general manager leaves for the day. Once he’s gone the service goes to crap. The food and selections remain great and plentiful but the service takes a huge nose dive. The place gets messy and the servers forget about you. The food and the options override the bad service during the evening though.

1. Don’t leave the drinking fountain outside the main food area! What in the name of all that is holy would make anyone think that’s a bright idea. Did a group of smart arses just sit in a board room and think, «Hey, lets pretty much pressure people to buy our obscenely expensive colored water by leaving the drink fountain at the main entrance?» Let the main entrance be just that. A fricking main entrance, rather than having a tacky display of desperation. I would like to have the opportunity of getting my drinks myself. What if I were to choke on a croûton, eh? Then I would have to run outside just to get a drink? 2. The smell is nauseating. I went there for the very first time to have a joint birthday with my cousin. Our birthday is just one week apart. Would it kill someone to clean up every now and then? Spray the walls with some Lysol. To think that we drove 30 minutes, endured the high altitude – blocked ears and all– to partially ingest the pungent smell of heaven knows what! It’s not a good idea to eat in a place that reeks. How about investing in some cleaning people. You sure can afford it seeing that our drinks are overpriced. You can buy a small house in an island country with what they charge. Clean Up! 3. The drinks are a tad pricey. See #1 and #2 4. Good food. The food is actually not bad. The french toast was pretty delicious. You should try it. There was a nice looking chocolate fountain which i didn’t bother trying. The place smells gross, the last thing I want is something creamy and brown in my mouth. Moral of the story: Do not eat in there. Wear a face mask, oxygen tank and get a to-go plate. It’s a shame because they actually serve good food. They should just keep the fountain inside and clean up more.

I’ve eaten at other GC’s out of state but recently stopped-in here with a friend who had never been to a GC and I’m happy to report that neither of us were disappointed by what we found here! All the food was fresh and tasted great! The Servers were friendly and did a good job of keeping our table cleared and our drinks topped-off. The price seems to have gone-up since I last ate at a GC in Yuma a couple of years ago, however I didn’t mind as this was hands-down the best Buffet I’d been too outside of Las Vegas. I can’t wait to go back again!

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but Golden Corral has been constantly going down hill it seems. We decided on giving this location a try after having a bad experience at the Las Vegas GC location. This current location I’m writing about was better however the bathrooms can use some serious attention. It’s hard to get an appetite after using that bathroom. Overall food was fare. Seemed that they were very understaffed on the wait staff today. Doesn’t seem like the Golden Corral we use to know, almost like all Golden Corrals have just gave up. It’s kind of sad actually.

When I first went to golden corrals, I felt like it was a hot ticket. until recently I haven’t gone for about a year. I was informed my family who I haven’t seen for 30 years was coming out. I instantly suggested golden corrals. with regret I say. I wish I didnt. it was dirty. the bathrooms smelled. my ant and niece refused to use the restroom. in the men’s bathroom at the bottom of the stalls there was grime, and a sticky mess. it was cracked. the stalls we’re so small I had to use the handicap. one of the paper towel dispenser was so low to the sink, when the paper towels are dispensed they touch the wet dirty counter. the floor was sticky. mirrors dirty. also. we had one server«who was clearly over worked«for the 15 of us that showed up. This is not the golden corrals I remember.

Gross. Just had dinner there tonight. The food looked like it had been sitting there for hours. The restrooms were filthy with trashcans overflowing with dirty toilet paper in every stall in the ladies room. They try to make you fill your drink cup right as you walk in the door, before you pay — without telling you it’s $ 2.50 per drink. For the four of us, it would have added an extra $ 10, so we went with water. The cashier wasn’t happy that we held up the line a second to look at the menu and see if drinks were included and then chose water. It was $ 39 for two adults and two kids. Total rip off. We could have gone to a nice, sit-down restaurant with quality, fresh food for the same price. We were really angry that we had paid that price for that old, crusty heat-lamp food.

I was very excited to try Golden Corrall for the first time. I walk in, and drinks were self-serve first before you pay. I got here around 2:30pm, and it was surprisingly pretty busy. I started off with the salad bar. I thought the salad was fresh and they offered a lot of options. Next I tried various Asian dishes and was not impressed. The noodles were too soft and the flavor was off. I did enjoy the mini steak cheeseburgers. Chicken liver is also available during lunch hours. I also made myself some nachos with refried beans, beef, and Spanish rice. The rice was overly salty and the beef was too oily. My favorite part of a meal is the dessert, so I was beyond excited to try them out. I tried the chocolate fondue with strawberry. The strawberries were not ripe, and I found tiny bugs crawling all over my plate from the strawberries. I also tried a bite of the carrot cake, which was probably the best dessert I had there. The chocolate cake was extremely rich and sweet for my taste. And of course, I got some cotton candy. I was very underwhelmed with the food here. One of my friends said that the Lake Havasu location serves better quality food. When I got home, I was constantly thirsty because the food was too salty. I’m not sure I’ll ever crave this place again.

I have to say I was very very excited to eat here when we did! Ever since I left the south to move out west… I would miss Golden Coral once in a while. So this place for me is definitely southern comfort food. Totally brings me back to the feeling of home and where I grew up. This definitely isn’t the best most amazing buffet I’ve ever been to, but it sure feels like home. This is the first and only Golden Coral I’ve been to outside of Florida. Back home in Jacksonville, this is the spot for buffet southern cooking. What I will always think of when I hear Golden Coral is their cooked to order steaks and their golden yeast rolls with the honey butter margarine spread! If you don’t eat anything else… Please just try the rolls!!! But you gotta try it with the spread! The food is like any county style buffet. This location also offers some oriental style food options as well as a make it yourself taco station. But mostly caters to southern style American food: pot roast, corn bread, fried chicken, mashed potatoes n gravy, grilled tilapia, corn, southern style green beans, grilled veggies, sautéed mushrooms, turkey stuffing, popcorn shrimps, grilled to order steaks, roasted ham, etc. They also have of course a salad bar with lots of options! My fav is the crab meat mix salad. Squeeze some fresh lemon and it’s delicious! They also have a soup bar with chicken noodle, calm chowder, minestrone, and chili. Don’t forget the dessert bar and this location even has a cotton candy machine! Also a chocolate fondue station. Again the fresh breads and dinner yeast rolls with the honey butter margarine spread is to die for!!! Drinks are not included in buffet price… It used to be way back in the 90s when I was a kid. But drinks of course are refillable. Okay so why 3 stars? The place is dirty. Lol not the food but just the dining area is filthy. Food everywhere from people over piling their plates and food dropping on the floor. Our kids dropping food to and from table to buffet. I feel bad for the servers coz they are most definitely understaffed and can’t keep up with the flow of customer traffic to adequately clean and sweep the floors. Or even to pick up used plates from the table. I’m not expecting a buffet dining experience like I would get in Vegas… But Golden Coral could most definitely step up they game. The night we went must have been a middle school football night coz lots of little cheerleaders and players there and it was LOUD!!! Like annoyingly loud. Parents were not seated with their kids so friends could sit together after a big win I’m assuming… But honestly a manager or someone coulda have asked that the kids be contained or controlled to an appropriate restaurant vocal level coz these kids were loud annoying and obnoxious it actually made the meal unenjoyable at one point. It was like seeing the word ‘Ratchet’ being defined in a love performance. I felt really bad for our server coz she was trying hard to do her job while remaining calm. Kudos to her for working her butt off! There’s a location here in vegas I have yet to go to, but GC will always be my comfort food get away when I’m missing the south, but I just hope to have a better dining experience than this. Food was great but the dining experience was rather on the poor end
