I came here to have my favorite Mexican dish pork chile verde. This was nothing but a disappointment. The chile verde was water down and had no flavor at all. It looked like they just put some pork with water and chopped up some peppers. It was horrible I wanted to walk out, I asked the waitress why it was so watery she said, it’s suppose to be like that. Everything was horrible the décor of animal heads the place was filthy. The only thing that I enjoyed was the horchata. Don’t waste your money here definitely not worth it.

My Dad likes the Menudo and the hand made tortillas. Outside of the wait, we have not had a bad experience. The service staff is friendly considering the amount of patrons they need to attend to. One server attends to all the tables and the other server doubles as the tortilla maker, server and cashier. If you don’t mind the animal carcasses on the walls, the wait and the overworked staff then this is the place for you.

I actually am a regular here and the only older waiter that’s a man is finally back after being gone for a few months and now that it’s him running the restaurant it’s so terrible I was waiting to just order my food for 25 minutes! And then when I simply asked him sir I’m ready to order he yelled at me and told me that there’s 3 tables ahead of me when really I had got there before them so I’m believe he may have Alzheimer’s and can’t even recollect that I already been there! An is already physically disabled he should be on retirement it’s just terrible I prefer the 2 regular girls I definitely hope they reconsider having him there because there definitely going to be losing my business if not!!!

The food is good especially for the price. My wife enjoys the shrimp coctel. I’ll usually eat the enchilada plate with rice and beans would be 5 stars but the chi salsa is mediocre. The decoration is too bad lol not Mexican style but its cool remind me of Texas

I always go to Casa Jimenez in Azusa so when I saw this one I thought I would give it a try. It was really good. The food was great, they have all you can eat for $ 10.99. You order three items with rice and beans and a soup or salad then they bring you more once your done, but honestly one plate is more than enough. The rice has chunks of potato in it which is a little weird but it was good. The service was ok. And the décor was dead animals all over the place with antler chandeliers, I guess the owner is a hunter. But that doesn’t bother me, the food is really good so it’s worth going here if you want good Mexican food at a descent price. I always come here hungry and leave absolutely STUFFED. I would recommend, and I will be going back.

My husband and I enjoy coming here for lunch. We get the all you can eat and our favorite menu item is the verde chilaquiles! The waitresses are always happy, friendly and they love to talk(which is ok with us)! Prices are great!

This place is part of a restaurant chain that had several locations throughout Southern California back in the 90s. They have downsized over the years, but have kept their menu the same. The food here is excellent. The décor doesn’t bother me, obviously the family likes to hunt. The customer service is terrible and always has been. When we eat here, I always assumed the staff is related to the owner. I couldn’t imagine the owner actually paying the staff members, they don’t even greet you or really speak to you. Every once in a while they come around and see if you need something. My family and I only eat here if we’re in the mood for great Mexican food and have no interest in speedy and friendly service.

We were seated at a table that was FILTHY and the seats were sticky. When the waitress came to clean it she brought a rag that was soaking wet and dripped a lot of dirty water on me. I told the waitress TWICE that she was dripping on me but she didn’t seem to care. I asked her for napkins because I was wet and she proceeded to help other customers instead of bringing me my napkins. I had to get up and go get the napkins myself. She did apologize for not bringing the napkins but the damage was already done. We still had not ordered any food and it only went downhill from here. We ordered a chicken chimichanga that came out watery; a shrimp taco that was over salted and over cooked, and a carnitas sope. The carnitas were so dried out and overbooked that they literally were hard and CRUNCHY. The beans were so over salted they were inedible, and the rice had chunks of something in it with the texture of potatoes. We will never eat here again and I do not recommend that anyone eat here. It is gross.

My boyfriend and I love this place, we come all the time! The food is very good and for a reasonable price. Some of the workers could work on there customer service skills but, other than that great Mexican food. Definitely one of the best in the high desert.

They must have a new cook because the food doesn’t taste right. Most as if it was microwaved food. Chips are not fresh and the last 2 times we went nether me or my kids finished. Taco Bell seems more authentic. Staff took forever to take our order and still screwed it up.

Great food but the waiter was kinda rude. i think they need. To call restaurant impossible cause the décor of that place just creeps me out it’s a Mexican restaurant not a hunters lodge.

Best Mexican food in the High Desert! Amazing shrimp cocktail, fried fish, and carnitas! I’ve been coming for here for a couple years and am never dissapointed! Great service, atmosphere, and food! You will not regret it if you decide to eat here! Way better than La Casita.

Food deserves 4+ stars, service 2 – 3 stars, décor 0 stars. So this is for the food only. Servers were neglectful, passed by several times without refilling drinks, only came by to drop off the food, then the check. The salsa is hotter than the hubs of hell, but they also give you pico on the side for a nice contrast. We will give them another try. Decent Mexican food in the high desert is hard to come by.

Food is ok for mexican food in the HD but waitress can be a bit rude. I asked for a straw and she told me it was in my drink when it was apparent it wasn’t. And she kept walking the opposite direction. She Unilocaled across the restaurant confirming that it was in there so I waited for her to walk to our table and she asked me if she was right I told her unless I had to fish for it and it might be a short straw then yes maybe but I was stirring my cup with my fork to show her that it want there I asked her do you see a straw? And she was like Uugh, I told her well? She said no and walked away with an attitude and brought me an opened straw with a napkin! That’s the problem with stupid people they don’t have customer service skills! Didn’t even apologize! And just for that I might not come back.

I had heard about their main location in Barstow and avaoided going due to the reviews on how gruesome the décor is. This location is smaller and less so I’m sure. They did have various forms of taxidermy on display but so far up on the wall it took me awhile to nice. The interior is dated and a bit run down but clean. Given the location it was about what I was expecting. The restaurant was about half full with only one waitress but she was friendly and fast. The menu is extensive and a bit more pricy then others in town. My husband got a steak burrito, I got the fried fish with beans, rice and a salad. It was pretty good, I loved the fish, the rest average. They have two salsas, the pico is better, the other tastes and looks dirty. I would probably not bother coming back but it was fine.
