I grew up with the name Allen’s Flowers. Granted not the one in hesperia but still the name ment something. I needed a few small arrangments for a babyshower that I was hosting. I went in for a quote and to get a few ideas and it seemed as though I was bothering them. Needless to say they quoted me 60 $ for flowers to put in a pint sized Mason jar. $ 60! And to top it off I had to put the arrangement together myself. I kindly declined their quote and moved on to acacia’s flower shop. They were so helpful even though they were swamped with mothers day orders. I highly recommend going to acacia’s and staying far away from allens flowers. It was a truly disappointing and insulting experience.

I recently went to Allens flowers to buy flowers for my mother. When i walked in there was only one other customer in the store. I waited for assistance for almost 10 minutes. There where 3 employees in the store at the time, but they where engaged in a conversation about there personal life. As i walked in the store waiting for help, i also noticed the quality of the flowers that where on display. Not only that the flowers looked wilted, the price tag was high in my opinion. I was not impressed with the selection of flowers they had to offer. I got tired of waiting for help so i decided to leave the store. At this point i sat in my car in the parking lot and Unilocaled other florists in the area. I found another florist further west on Main St. and decided to go there instead. The florist i found on Unilocal(Acacia’s florist) had a better selection and greeted me as soon as i walked in. They had a better selection and the price was much more reasonable in my opinion.

I ordered three purple carnation boutineers for Mothers Day in 2011. They were plain with a cheap flower(that I asked for) and I was very surprised to be charged $ 12.95 each when I came to pick them up. In my opinion they took advantage of the ‘holiday’ and seriously overcharged me for a carnation wrapped in green tape with some baby’s breath and a straight pin. I haven’t been back since and I was a regular customer of 15 years. Go to Hesperia Florist instead. They are great over there.
