GET QUOTE IN WRITING! A1 replaced my garage door last year. They did a great job and their staff was super friendly and helpful. My chain drive opener was replaced today. Last week, after speaking with their rep and discussing my options, I was given a verbal quote of $ 325 for a belt drive opener w/​2 remotes. I needed a 3^rd remote and was told it would be $ 30 extra. When the install appointment was scheduled, I verified a total price of $ 355 again, with the extra remote.
After install, when I went to pay, I was told $ 380. Installer called office to double check, but they would not change the price. My options were to pay $ 380, have everything uninstalled, or give back the extra remote.
I gave back the extra remote and just paid the $ 325. I haven’t had any other problems with this company and have used them in the past. I was very surprised that this happened.

This is a company that appears to be nice and helpful. Except for one thing, they take your deposite, mine was 150.00, and never bring the garage door! After four attemps of an appointment, I asked for deposite back. I went to their office on main street and called them. They asked for Proof or receipt which they made a copy of and I never got my deposite back. I wouldn’t trust them.
