Always on the lookout for a casual and not to expensive place for a Sunday afternoon we tried the Bears Den recently at the Hershey Lodge. After a fifteen minute wait we were seated. Our server was pleasing enough. I wish I could say the same for the nachos we ordered. There are great nachos which in central PA come from the Iron Horse in Lancaster. Then there are all the places which should go dine at the Iron Horse and see how great nachos are constructed.

Get the Crab Flatbread awesome and tasty. Kids ate all their food which counts for 5 stars.

Average food. Lackluster service and décor. Felt like a glorified cafeteria. Expected better for a $ 15 burger.

A nice atmosphere for lunch. The food was fine, average, though a bit expensive for average quality. I got the steak salad which, again, was just fine. The wife got their quesadillas which were decent. If we had to go here again, we could, but I don’t think we’d go out of our way for it. Applebee’s the previous night was cheaper and better.

*****3.5 stars***** Located inside Hershey Lodge, it feels like you are eating on a hockey rink at the Bears’ Den. Although the food is your average bar food, the service is above average. Our waiter was attentive throughout our meal, making sure we were well taken care of. We decided on sharing a few appetizers rather than ordering entrees. The buffalo wings were huge, cooked well, and had the buffalo sauce tossed evenly throughout each piece. The nachos with pulled pork(an extra $ 3) was good, but nothing special. The amount of pulled pork was generous. Most of the toppings were in the middle of the dish, making lots of tortilla chips left to eat by themselves. I liked having the salsa and sour cream as sides. The appetizer onion rings were plentiful. I thought we would just get a small plate of onion rings, but out comes a large platter of them so be prepared if you order them. They were battered nicely and had a good crunch to them. Kids have quite a few options to choose from, which is nice. After paying for your meal, you get a handful of Hershey kisses. With more than 20 TVs playing all kinds of sports, the Bears’ Den would be a great place to go for game day. There’s also a mini arcade towards the entrance/exit of the restaurant. Lots of seating in the main area(tables and a bar), as well as a separate small room for dining.

This review is for the atmosphere alone. We were here on a Sunday afternoon to watch football. Being a sports bar, we expected an over 21 environment. The ‘bar’ is family friendly and although there were only a few tables full, two of them had very shrill children. Hershey might consider dividing the space into a separate bar and family dining area.

We had a party of 8 that included 5 kids. Our server, Andrew, was so friendly, accommodating, attentive and kind. One of the best servers I have had anywhere! The food was also good and we were All Happy!

The staff is fantastic. The meals where all fantastic. The pulled pork sandwich is piled high and has slaw on it. The meatloaf is great and the mashed potatoes where creamy. If you have kids the kids burger was huge but was told it was great and was gone within minutes ;). The brownie Sunday and truffle cake were out of this world !!!

Appetizers are good and ok selection of beer. Waiter didn’t know much about their liquor selection. Spent about $ 80 between 4 ppl on appetizers and drinks.

Horrible service. We got there and our waitress was absolutely horrible. The food was not cooked to what I asked for. Other than the manager taking better care of us, it was terrible service and not so great good.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Never before have I had a waitress say that«if you don’t hurry up and order, I’ll leave.» Her complete disregard for us was completely disgusting and she refused to split our checks. She only came to our table when we asked another waitress to take our order after sitting for a half hour.

This was a typical american faire pub. While it took a while to be sat, our food came out really fast. They’re known for specialty burgers and they did not disappoint. I love that the glasses were real glass & the plates were real versus cheap plastic restaurant plates.

This is a sports bar, good for drinks, maybe a snack, but nothing more. It really is more of a hide away from the kids after they’ve cranked themselves up on chocolate and other sugar filled confections. The food is rather bland, generic and expensive. The service is OK depending on who you get and what time you get there. Overall it is sub par when compared to the other restaurants on and around the property.

Great food. Sports on everywhere. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese burger. Cooked perfectly. The free popcorn keeps the kids from getting too hungry. Wait staff was quick, friendly and efficient. They also have an excellent selection of craft beers.

Stopped in during our recent trip to Hershey and found the Bears Den to be a great spot for a burger. The dining room looked like Hershey Arena, and the floor was made to look like a ice hockey rink, very cool theme and plan on coming back on our next trip to Hershey!

Fun themed restaurant in the Hershey Lodge that celebrates all things hockey, especially the Hershey Bears team. Walking through to the main dining room feels like going through the clubhouse, with lots of trophies, framed articles and photos in walled cases. Once you reach the main dining room, you’ll notice tons of huge TVs to watch sports, and all the tables appear to be on an ice rink. It’s a cool effect! The food is all delicious, and the service was beyond friendly(not unexpected for Hershey) and FAST! The quickness of receiving our food was much appreciated because we had two kids who were tired from a day at Hershey Park(plus some swim time at the pool). I loved this place!

Great place to eat and catch games. Service is great, menu has a lot of options and everything I’ve had there has been delicious. If you go before or after a Hershey bear’s game and show your ticket you can get appetizers buy one get one free. Love this place

Always a must before going to see the Bears game. Service has always been great and you get a bowl of popcorn to start with. Since you are in Hershey, there are plenty of items on the menu(food &drink) with chocolate. The food is your basic pub grub, which is filling and good. Got a handful of Hershey Kisses with our check.

We visited the Bear’s Den prior to the One Direction concert based on a friend’s recommendation. We didn’t enter the park as we were only there for the concert, so food options nearby on park premises were quite limited. Located in the Hershey Lodge just off-site, the Bear’s Den is a Hershey Bears themed sports bar, but it is quite family friendly. Being huge hockey fans, this was a pretty cool concept to us. Service was a bit slow, but the food was pretty good for«theme park”-esque food. I got the fried mozzarella and the buffalo chicken salad, both of which were generous portions and quite good for a quick bite. The buffalo sauce was quite hot, though I love it that way, and I couldn’t eat much. However, it was over 90 degrees out and I was getting sick from the heat so that definitely played into why I didn’t feel so hot — it definitely was NOT the food. Overall it was a pretty cool place to visit while looking for somewhere to cool down and grab a nice bite of bar food prior to the concert. If I ever return to Hershey I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
