One of my favorite places to go eat in Hershey. Great food and drink options. I like the ambiance and it has a very comfortable feel to it. Would recommend the happy hour

Great place! Creatives bar/cocktail menu. Appetizers were yummy. Deviled eggs w/bacon and fried oysters app. Portabella dip sandwich on focaccia w/porcini mushroom dip. Only con may be limited menu, but I believe that is what allows them to put out the food so quickly. A bit more selections and I’d give 5 stars.

Came in for dinner with some friends, all of us weren’t very wow’d by the place. I ordered a beer, received it warm and flat. Not sure how you can bring a cold beer out, feel that it’s not cold and leave it. We ordered our food which wasn’t bad, a couple burgers and a chicken sandwich. The fries however were on the burnt side, very crunchy. Service was on the slow side, especially when we’re were finished and wanted the check. Was kind of annoyed considering we were the only ones sitting in the bar area. I won’t be making a point of it to return.

Poutine was outstanding! Can’t go wrong with the drinks and/or dishes. We enjoyed the arugula salad and deviled eggs as well. Never a disappointment!

Absolutely terrible host. I have never ever waited an hour for a table and the host didn’t even have the decency to keep us updated on likely wait time or acknowledge how extraordinarily aggravating the situation was(given that we had infants in our party). We were appalled and greatly disappointed by our treatment by the host. It was unbelievably inconsiderate and the food and service by no means made up for how poorly we were treated at the door. My party and I were quite simply, aghast by our entire experience. We will never return and will vociferously let all our friends, family, and colleagues know about our untenable treatment.

We stopped in for an early dinner before a show in Hershey. We arrived at 4:45 and it was already busy(good sign). We started with the deviled eggs as an appetizer, and they were very good. Loved the bacon and oyster combo with them. I had the pulled pork sandwich, also tasty. I don’t usually care for fries, but the ones served with my sandwich were very good. My fiancé had the chicken sandwich, another good choice. I ended the meal with the white Wisconsin drink, recommend that one too. Great option for dinner in Hershey!

Not a family friendly place; waiting time is too long for a Tuesday night dinner. We waited for about half an hour for seating, and another an hour for our entrees. Maybe it’s just our bad luck. Food is OK, but the size is of the appetizer is smaller than expected.

Wow — super beer and great food — what a find! Had the scallops and then kale and pomegranate salad. Kids ate the tater tot nachos and pulled pork sandwiches. Really great!

This is a great place. A great find on Unilocal. We were going to Troegs Brewery for lunch as was our tradition on our weekend get-away to Hershey. But Troegs was too crowded. So glad that it was. Get the scotch egg, a beer can chicken sandwich, and an eleven dollar milkshake.

Hubby wanted to take me shopping and decided he’d need to have a few drinks in him before we went. I agreed, of course. Put some beer in him and he’s pretty agreeable to just about anything. So we came here. We sat at the bar right when the place opened. It was really cold at first, but I did warm up as people started coming in. The bartender was really friendly, prompt, and made me my favorite… yes, a Grey Goose martini, dirty, up. It was one of the best I’ve had. Husband had, of course, some sort of ridiculously hoppy beer that he loved. I’m not much of a beer person, but they did seem to have a nice selection. We decided to order a few small plates and split a burger. We started with the Scotch Duck Egg because, well, I had never had a duck egg or a Scotch Egg. It was… an egg. Really, just a hard boiled egg encrusted in bread crumbs and fried. Meh. The mustard schmear underneath was very good. Next up, mussels in a lemon cream sauce with garlic ciabatta bread. Oh dear lord. These were amazing. A large portion of mussels with that heavenly sauce… and then you dunk the bread in… definitely a winner! The last small plate we tried was the chicken drumsticks. Not a fan. At all. They were done well, the bleu cheese mousse was awesome. But neither of us were fans. We felt like we were eating turkey legs. They had that type of texture. Finally we order the burger with bacon. Because face it, life is better with bacon. Except, this bacon didn’t have enough fat rendered out. It was a yummy, thick cut bacon… but that just means it has thicker pieces of fat that have to be rendered. The burger itself was wonderful. Very juicy… enough that the bread was saturated. Maybe a bun that can stand up to those juices would be a better choice. The fries were stupid good. HOT, fresh, crispy, and delicious. We felt the price was fair, small plates are ½ price at happy hour. They did take the chicken legs off the check(without us even asking), so that was a nice customer service moment. All in all, we’d come back. I’d like to try their entrees… and that martini again.

Get ready… this place is an awesome addition to east Hershey!!! Take the best that downtown Harrisburg has to offer and plant it right here on 422 in lil olé East Hershey and that’s exactly what you have here!!! Really, really good food, AMAZing energy with all of the natural Lancaster reclaimed wood and fine spirits. Sunday brunch(12 – 3) is deeeeeeelish featuring fresh gourmet specials created inhouse. I had the stocked-full breakfast burrito(with fresh mixed arugula salad) and for dessert(to go) the the warm chocolate chip waffles with Jack Daniels whipped cream(ended up not being to go) and finished it all off with an Irish coffee to warm me up. They presented me with a homemade chocolate macaroon(prolly just to see what would happen to a skinny little guy who just consumed three days worth of food in one sitting) to truly finish me off and they won!!! I’m a new eternal fan. Oooooooooonly thing is they need to fix their wifi… it’s slow as molasses. Had to put my phone back on LTE to check emails. Good thing I was here alone otherwise I would be smacked by my friends for complaining about that. ;-)

The coolest thing about Irv’s is the layout. It must have been a house at one point in time because the restaurant is broken down into different rooms and still has a homey feel to it. It earns extra points for it’s creative design. That’s about it though… We started our meal with tater tot nachos. They sounded like a tasty alternative to the traditional appetizers, and while they were good, they fell short of the label nachos. Nothing special about them. Entrée wise I had some trouble deciding. My friend ordered the fish and chips which was a pretty appetizing dish overall. I however, always tend to seek assistance from the staff when ordering. I like to know what they feel best represents their restaurant. What’s good and what’s popular. In that respect, our server wasn’t very helpful, at all. Pause for a humorous tangent. The worst result I ever got was asking a waitress in a steakhouse what she would recommend only to find out she was a vegetarian. Go figure right? But a pet peeve of mine is when«everything is good». If you can’t offer a solid recommendation, then don’t make one. It’s just annoying. And so if you haven’t inferred it already, «everything was good» at Irv’s –and without distinction. I was torn between two sandwiches, they were completely different in composition, but were«equally fantastic» according to the server –said apathetically. Eventually I settled on a fishy form of a classic: the Salmon Reuben. Don’t get it. The combination of salmon and sauer kraut make it tastes spoiled. You can trust me, I am an open-minded eater. Now, please note that I never personally fault a staff member for their recommendations if I don’t like them –everyone’s tastes are different-. My point is that waitstaff should at least be somewhat invested in the restaurant they work at. It’s always discouraging to discover that the person taking your order has never tried anything on the menu. Ironically, a week or so after we ate here, the news did a special report on Irv’s Pub. They gave a brief history on the restaurant, discussing their backstory and highlighting their strong points. Naturally it was a little more specific than«everything’s good», but it was also after the fact. If I ever go back to Irv’s hopefully I’ll make a better selection…

Upscale casual in Hershey, PA. Interesting, yet comfy seating arrangements. Love the way they serve an entire bottle of water on the table. Service was friendly but a tad slow. Tater tot nachos were filling and good. Fish and chips were typical, but good. Tartar sauce was the stand out. Really delicious. I would probably try it again, but the husband was unimpressed.

I can’t provide anything but positive feedback about Irv’s Pub; it definitely surpasses any pub my husband and I have been to. We knew we’d found a great spot as soon as we pulled into the parking lot and saw Irv’s stylish exterior. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu; both the food and drink were delicious! The service was great, and the staff were all friendly.

Last week I visited Hershey Park for a couple of days and came here the night before leaving based on previous reviews. The entire restaurant has a somewhat rustic modern feel to it. There is a small bar and a homey dining area including dim lighting and little candles on every table. Oh! And a fire place ;) The service was great, the beer was hoppy and the food… the food was cooked with love… get the scotch duck egg, it’s fucking delicious with the honey mustard spread underneath… Also the IPA fries are so malty and vinegary, mmm. I ordered a the kale and burrata salad with grilled shrimp. The pickled beets and braised peaches were a nice touch too. …If I am ever back in this area for whatever reason I will definitely be returning. I didn’t think I would find a place like this outside of the Northern NJ/NYC area. They really know whats up. :D

Had dinner at Irv’s last night(Thursday) with a group of 4 others. We arrived around 5pm & were seated right away. Irv’s was approx. 40% occupied when we arrived, but slowly became busier until we left around 7pm(was closer to 90% occupied by then). There was no parking out front when we arrived, so we had to park behind the business next door. Atmosphere is nice-casual, and décor was modern and laid back. Irv’s is intimate & cozy, a great spot for date night, after-work drinks, and late-night. Most customers were dressed in nicer work attire and appeared to be in their 30s or older. Upbeat light rock/pop music was playing in the background, but not loud enough to drone out what your table is discussing. Drink menu was very extensive & we all had a hard time deciding what to get since everything sounded so good! Lots of wines, crafted drinks, and micro-brews; great selection! Our group shared a few small & large plates for dinner. Everything tasted amazing, and you can’t beat 50% off small plates and various drink specials for happy hour! Our waitress was very prompt and attentive and checked if we needed drink refills multiple times. Our group all agreed that we can’t wait to come back!

Short and simple, the place to be in the Hershey’s area! The food is amazing, the service great, awesome atmosphere and just superb customer service. First time here for s few drinks and dinner after visiting the attractions and I highly recommend it. I ordered the country fried rib eye steak with chili bacon mac-n-cheese and grilled corn. It was tender and flavorful. OMG!!! That Mac and Cheese… just thinking about it makes my mouth watery. ;-) All fresh ingredients used and our waitress was very attentive and helpful. I also had a nice watermelon Sangria and did I say that the dessert menu was very intriguing(even when I don’t eat sweets that much) it all sounded and looked awesome. I was peaking at others dessert plates as they were coming out of the kitchen :-) I wish this place was closer because I would definitely be a frequent!!!

Hier lohnt es sich hin zu gehen. Das Personal ist freundlich. Das Ambiente spitze und das Essen? Wahnsinn! Ein kleiner Geheimtipp für alle die der chocklate rd mal einen Besuch abstatten. Probiert auch einmal die Bier Sorten. Auch für den verwöhnen Deutschen Gaumen sind hier einige erstklassige Biere dabei.

I have been in the Hershey area for about 6 weeks and have been to Irv’s almost a dozen times. The food is great, the drinks are great, the ambiance is awesome… Overall, this is an amazing find. I haven’t had a single thing that I haven’t liked, and I’ve eaten probably 80% of the daily menu offerings. You seriously can NOT go wrong. The service varies from day to day, but I’m so impressed with the food and drink at Irv’s that the staffing flaws don’t even phase me. And that’s saying a lot. I just got home from Irv’s and am already looking forward to my next visit.

We tried this place for brunch since the Hershey Pantry is closed on Sunday’s. Same people but different concept. Great breakfast and lunch items! Nice bar! Staff was very nice and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable. Can order aka cart. Had eggs over easy and cheesy grits. It was awesome! Stuffed French toast is the same the delicious dish they serve across the street!
