As of today the Wiener’s circle is no more. A very sad day indeed. Greg and Diane will truly be missed.

I’m sad to say that the Wiener Circle will be closing it’s doors after today. We went for one last dog and the place was absolutely packed with people. It really goes to show how many people have grown to love their food. Even though they said it wont happen, I’ll hold out hope that WC pops back up in the future.

They really need to update their hours of business. I checked them out on Unilocal and online as well and was looking forward to checking them out. I drove over from Sterling; which isn’t that far, but it would have been nice to have known.

For a quick, easy lunch, Wiener’s Circle can be a winner. The menu is simplicity itself: chose your type of hot dog and a few hot toppings. Add stuff yourself from a big toppings bar. As a Chicagoan, I’m partial to true Chicago dogs and, while this place is good, you can’t really put one together here. No poppy-seed buns and no sport peppers. Still, the dogs are good and fresh. For a cheap lunch, not a bad place.

Instead of the trusted Vienna Inn we decided to try this place. Issue 1: no kids menu in a hotdog place? Issue 2: why do you offer 3 basics dogs and once you have those down then you can offer the strange versions you have. I hate to make this statement, but the Costco dog was fresher and tastier

Love coming here for lunch. Everyone is nice here. Hot dogs are banging! Love all the food on the board. Sometimes they even have oysters. Monday’s !! Too bad they close so early or I would have hot dogs for dinner as well. Thanks to all the friendly service !

Wow! Incredible food and service! We drove 25 minutes from Fairfax to find it and we’re glad we did! So many choices and toppings, AND they serve beer! Check it out sometime, you won’t be disappointed!

I am such a fatty. This is a no frills establishment that is sure to please the fatty inside each and every one of us. I had been eyeing this location for weeks as a place to quell the hunger inside of me, so finally I decided to man up and go there for lunch. I ordered and devoured every bit of my meal: 1 hot half smoked with coleslaw, ketchup and mustard, 1 Barking Tail, and Garlic Parmesan fries. I will be back more often. When the person, who I believe is the owner of the establishment, handed me over my food he said«woah, that is a lot.» I replied, «is it?» Tip: Take advantage of the free condiment bar(relish, onions, hot peppers, hot sauce, etc etc).

Absolutely one of the best places to get lunch in the area! The food is excellent. Let’s just get that out of the way. I’ve had several hot dogs and their cheesesteak(offered on Mondays only I believe). They are delicious and of high quality and generously sized. In contrast to the Unilocaler on here who was upset about paying $ 13 for two hot dogs and onion rings, I always feel like I’m getting good value.(And come on! That’s a good amount of food for $ 13… it’s 2015… you almost have to expect to pay $ 10 for lunch and you got TWO not-small hot dogs! Sorry — mini rant over.) Yes, you can get a hot dog cheaper but you won’t get their quality and creativeness anywhere else. I had one of their hot dogs that had fried mac and cheese clusters on it! Yeah, I know — genius! The condiments are fresh and varied and freely available. I haven’t had the onion rings, but the fries are pretty damn good. My favorite is the parmesan fries with fresh garlic. Last but not least, they have house-made specialty sauces that are amazing. My two current favorites are the chiptole ketchup and curry ketchup(and I’m not a ketchup fiend). Service — here’s where I’d give them 6 stars if I could. The couple who presumably run/own the joint are just the nicest, friendliest people. From day one of me visiting they made me feel like a regular. I don’t always hold it against a spot for bad or rude service because I’m mostly all about taste bud-stimulating and stomach-filling… but I do feel we should give credit to people who are genuinely nice and provide excellent customer service. It truly enhances the experience. This is one of those places that I’m already excited about my next visit to try something new while on my current visit! :)

Old school hot dog restaurant with a flair for the creative. From the laid back ordering system and chalk board specials to the owner sitting by the register offer fellowship to all that arrive you get the feel of an old fashioned family restaurant. Only open for lunch you will find 1000% Angus beef hot dogs dressed to your hearts content. To compliment the dogs they have brats and sausages as well. the sides range from chili to mac an cheese The specialty dogs like the NC Dog, 4 oz Angus with pulled pork and slaw if awesome! Take lots of napkins, check the hours of operation before you go and enjoy!

I love this place. I normally do not eat hot dogs/sausages but this has to be one of those places that changes my mind. I tried their hot italian sausage with hot peppers and onions, and it was delicious. There are lots of toppings and sauces to put on your food. Worth a visit!

I love a good hot dog and this place doesn’t disappoint. The hours can be tricky in that they aren’t open late but it’s well worth the planning! The Mississippi Come Back fries are fantastic with the best sauce! Also their chili cheese and cole slaw is not to be missed. Will definitely keep coming back!

Brb can’t move. In a food coma. Just had this bad boy for lunch and immediately had to Unilocal about it. My hands are still a little dirty… had the chili Mac and I legitimately can’t move. So. Freakin. Good. I actually got a taco/pupusa from Jenni’s next door as well thinking I would need it, going to end up just saving that for dinner because this dog will fill you up. Only reason I’m deducting one star is because of how messy it was, not ideal if you’re at work(or just eat like a 5 year old like me) Hats off, wiener house. I’ll be back.

I’ve been on the hunt for a decent chili and cheese dog! This place wins with both! They have a condiment bar so I could put as little or as much mustard and onions as I wanted, YUM! The wait for the food was so short… seriously. I feel like we had our food by the time we sat down haha which could be a good or a bad thing! This was a great thing! Good bread, hot dog, chili and cheese! My bf got the Chili Mac hot dog-chili, cheese, mac&cheese, he loves this and has ordered it multiple times along with the onion rings! No de crunch and flavor. We got the Thursday special which was a avocado BLT to share. it was pretty decent but not enough tomato for me however, good pieces of bacon!

If you’re around the area and you want a hot dog between the hours of 11 – 2:30, this is the place to come! I got the Baltimore hot dog, which consists of a hot dog with Bologna, smothered in melted cheddar cheese. It was good, just good.

First thing I noticed was the extremely friendly staff. The cashier was awesome, welcomed me kindly and quickly informed me of all the daily specials. Service was extremely fast. The place is clean and they have a huge assortment of complimentary toppings. The garlic fries were fresh, hot, and crispy. I ordered the kosher dog with kraut and grilled onions and it was phenomenal.

2.5 stars. I had been looking forward to trying The Wiener’s Circle for a long time. I’m talking months. So when I got here, I expected to be blown out of the water, especially since some of my Unilocal friends highly recommended it. The service was kind of strange. They had forgotten the chili and cheese on our hot dogs,(which was A-OK) but when we asked them about it, I couldn’t help but feel like we were burdening them. There was just that awkward vibe(I don’t complain, and I’m not a difficult customer so when I simply asked, I don’t know why it was so uncomfortable all of the sudden). I just felt odd that everyone in the restaurant had stopped what they were doing because a simple mistake of forgetting chili and cheese. It really was not a big deal until everyone thought it was one… On to the food. The garlic fries were a small portion for the $ 2-$ 3 something I paid; and it left a weird aftertaste in my mouth. My hotdog was the original, and turned out pretty small so I was left hungry and a tad disappointed. Unfortunately, I was let down at The Wiener’s Circle. WIth the price I paid($ 16 for 3 hotdogs, and a very small side of garlic fries), I would have expected to been a little full(It usually doesn’t take much for me to get full, and I always have leftovers to take home), but not in this case at all.

I have to comment on the Gumbo… I’m sorry Wiener Circle… but it was bad. It was like they forgot to make a roux and just dumped a bunch of butter in chicken stock or something. Very light colored and greasy broth. The rice tasted buttered too, but I don’t know if that was from the broth or if they buttered the rice too. It tasted like my little to go container had an entire stick of butter in it… The shrimps were really tough, but maybe that was because I got it to go and by the time I got back to the office I still had to let it cool so maybe the shrimps got overcooked while I was waiting for it to cool. Anyhow, you know I’m a fan WC… but take the Gumbo back, it’s not there! $ 9 bucks down the drain. :(:(:( To end on a positive note, they had beets on the toppings bar… and I can’t resist beets, so I snagged one while I waited for the to go order. It was really good. :) Thanks for that.

There’s no losers at the Weiner’s Circle. Soo many options I didn’t even know where to start when I looked over the menu. There is every type of condiment, topping, slaw, dressing, etc that you can imagine which calls for some truly customizable hot dogs. Also not to mention the type of hot dog you can get can be steamed, boiled, or deep fried. The place gives off that dive bar feel with a warm and friendly staff who we informed was our first time and they were very accommodating going over the menu with us and giving some options and fan favorite suggestions. I ending up getting the Baltimore hot dogs which consisted of a huge dogger, topped with fried bologna and tons of cheese! A unique combination that I would have never thought of and I decided to add my own toppings to it to enhance my experience. The second one I got was a barbecue dog which was a hot dog topped with pulled pork, it was simple but also tasty! I’m a sucker for options and customization at food establishments and you will not find one quite as unique as The Wiener Circle in Herndon as far as hot dogs go, now all I have to do is plan my next creation before I go back and enjoy it all over again!
