My husband and I live in the neighborhood and decided to try this restaurant for take out. We ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with no feta cheese or sauce, and we get home and discovered that both feta AND sauce were on our platter. Beyond that, the quality of the food was poor. The chicken lacked flavor and the lettuce used on our salad was actually partially spoiled(when it gets slimy and mushy). No amount of salad dressing could cover that up! We spent $ 30 on 2 meals and were utterly disappointed… Especially bc we wanted to support our local businesses. Unfortunately, we will never return here and I have a tummy ache now as I write this review.

My wife and I had dinner here tonight as we have several other nights. There was a large and boisterous crowd on this particular night, which was not a problem for us. My problem this evening was in regards to the TouchTunes music box. My wife and I both enjoy Country music, and this evening the TouchTunes was playing mostly Michael Jackson and/or R&B. I am OK with this type of music, but wanted to also hear some Country songs. I put $ 10 in the TouchTunes device and queued up 8 or 9 Country songs using the«Play Next» feature. Since the music currently playing also used«Play Next» we waited patiently as a dozen or so more songs played. Finally, our music started to play, and after a few songs, I noticed the bartender grab a remote control and begin skipping our songs! He did this three times in a row. Now seeing as how I payed for those songs in advance one can imagine how upset I was. However, my main problem this evening was that in speaking to the manager all he could muster up was«I’m sorry». Um, OK, how about refunding my money as well. Maybe even an offer of a free appetizer the next time we come in? They have lost a customer for life. My wife and I had been making this place an almost regular stop on Saturday night. Not the case anymore. There are lots of places that would like our money. UPDATE: TouchTunes made good on my complaint and refunded my credits and allowed me to use those credits at another establishment. I have to chuckle at those that constantly promote small family owned business versus corporately owned business. Corporately owned companies often have procedures and standards in place to protect wronged customers; whereas, family owned business can essentially tell you to «pound sand» when complaining. The Breeze will never see my business again.

Ordered food to go and waited at the registers to wait for someone to come. The cooks are looking at me and they keep talking. They could have been like can you hold on someones coming or something. Nothing happens for 5 minutes and they keep looking over at me. So I’m standing at the hallway, some waiter just stares at me and I’m looking at him like hello I’m waiting. He just stares at me and doesn’t even ask if I’ve been helped. Another 5 minutes go by and I’m just like seriously. Someone finally comes by and asks me if I needed help. Thanks I’ve only been waiting here for 10 minutes. I ordered online 45 mins before hand for 2 items and I ended up waiting another 10 minutes after designated pick up. It wasn’t even anything complicated, thai calamari and gyro salad with a salad. Thai calamari was bad, it was so overcooked I can barely chew it. Gyro was ok nothing special. Not worth it. From looking at many other reviews seems like service is slow here. I don’t know if I could come eat here, maybe I’d have to order 2 hours ahead of time in order to get my food on time. Maybe they should also have a bell if no one is going to be in the front. I wouldn’t have even known where to sit or go if I came in because theres no one in the front to greet you and tell you where to sit. Disappointing, not sure if I’ll be back.

Good food, small town bar atmosphere, friendly bartenders… I would have given 4 stars but the food always seems to take a really long time to come out, even when they aren’t busy.

Great place! Food is amazing, very fairly priced. They have a waitress, Connie, my GOODNESS! Talk about great customer service. She is extremely diligent with her work, fast and very caring to your order. If you go here, ask to be seated with her upstairs, she is phenomenal!

Here for the Monday night pizza special, large 4 topping for $ 12.99, a great deal! My wife and I are pretty particular on how we want it made and cooked(light cheese, Xtra crispy, etc) and they get it right everytime. We always have attentive friendly service, will definitely return.

I was meeting a friend in Herndon and she suggested The Breeze and I said ‘sounds good’. We both ordered from the breakfast/brunch menu that is available on the weekends. I picked the Greek omelet and she ordered the quesadillas veggie style. The food was fine, nothing amazing but nothing to not like about it either. The service was good. They refilled our drinks regularly. I had been out most of the day and when we sat down I began to realize just how thirsty I was. The seating area on the second floor is nice and open and pretty clean. There were a couple of other tables in use but certainly not crowded or busy. The prices were very reasonable. We sat and chatted while enjoying our orders. Good service in a relaxed space.

This 5 star review is for kind service. I was 6 miles into a bike ride when I realized I didn’t have a water bottle water or cash. I pulled off the bike path went into the restaurant the very friendly server kindly give me a cup of water. Great smells were coming from the kitchen.

We went here last night for dinner… Don’t waste your time! We were in a hurry and waited over and hr for our food. Our server was an older blonde woman and she was so inattentive that the other severs were actually tending to our needs… When we needed a refill, her response was«oh you guys want refills»?? Ummm our drinks were empty so yes. The food came out nothing like the menu, I got a Southwest steak salad and my steak was like shoe leather. It was overdone and not like the menu had it listed. They couldn’t even find me a dressing that wasn’t creamy so I couldn’t even eat the salad… I’m not that picky but I’m not going to put ranch or a thick dressing on my salad for health reasons… My boyfriend got the Greek pizza and it tasted like bland cheese pizza. He’s the most non-picky person I’ve ever met and he didn’t even eat it. We took our food to go because it had taken so long to even bring out which was unfortunate because we were trying to get to Herndon Live to listen to music with our 1 yr old… I get that restaurants get busy but it wasn’t busy about 15 mins after we got there and our sever didn’t have any other tables about 30 mins after we got there. She just stopped her shift and started doing her end of the night tasks. When it came time to get our check and go, the server could not be found. Another server boxed our food and brought the bill… After I paid I started walking out and found my server sitting in the back room, doing end of shift work and folding silverware. Apparently, getting out of there on time was way more important than refilling drinks or actually serving us… We definitely won’t be going back there again! What a waste of money! I’m so disappointed I walked in the door… The food was horrible and the service even worse.

My husband really likes this spot. It is in a good location in the city center close to many events. They have several sections. Downstairs is a few tables and kitchen. Upstairs has a bar on one side and a regular dining room on the other side. Good prices, good food, good service, and child friendly. My favorite there is the penne pesto. Hubby is all you can eat salad bar, ds 1 is the yummy fish, and ds 2 is the lasagna.

My boyfriend and I came here this past Friday night. I am ashamed to say that even though I grew up in Herndon, I had never been to this establishment until Friday. We walked in at around 7:30 and didn’t know what to do As there was no one at the hostess stand. We walked a little further in to be greeted by A lovely woman who asked us if we are dining in. We said yes so she grabbed menus and sat us upstairs. We walked by a relatively big salad bar that intrigued me! I knew I was definitely going to get salad with or as my meal because of that. we were greeted by a really pleasant server who took out drink orders and gave us some time to look over the menu. The menu a extensive which can be nice for picky eaters. I really wanted pizza because they all looked so good but I really wanted to make a salad from the salad bar as well. So, I did both. I got the vegetable pizza with eggplant and artichoke hearts(oh man what an amazing combination!) with a one trip to the salad bar. My boyfriend got the Hawaiian pizza. Both pizzas were 9″ although there are three sizes to chose from. I got my salad from the salad bar. I was starving but wasn’t sure if the plates were at the salad bar or if a plate would be brought to me. Our server didn’t let me know so I just walked over to it myself to see if there were plates. There were! Got my salad which was delicious. I was so full from eating it that by the time we got our pizzas, I only managed to eat one slice. But let me tell you that I was so happy that I managed to eat it because the pizza was AMAZING!!! You can tell that the restaurant uses high quality cheese. And the crust was so crispy!!! My brother said his pizza was great as well. Bottomline: We will definitely be going back and I will be introducing Mediterranean breeze to my family and friends. Great place!

Solid 4+ stars. Don’t let the creaky stairs and the unpretentious décor fool you, this food will take you right back to childhood dinners at your grandmother’s house. If you love genuine, fresh prepared Mediterranean food and can get past the less-than-luxurious ambience, this place will not disappoint. Starting with the self service salad bar where everything is cold and fresh: delicious feta, olives, stuffed grape leaves(Yum!), to the appetizers(the fried calamari is always crispy, tender, light and gone in minutes!), to the Greek specialty entrees(Mousaka, pastichio, gyros), to coffee and dessert, this food and friendly, casual atmosphere lets you relax and enjoy. If you can get it, I HIGHLY recommend the«Chicken Mediterranean» — it will change your f’n life, I’m not kidding. It is the best roast chicken I’ve ever eaten, sorry Mom. The green beans and mashed potatoes are epic… it is clear the chefs here take their culinary expertise seriously. Simple, rustic & delicious.

I ordered takeout for lunch and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived exactly in 15 minutes and while still waiting for my takeout a group of 6 people arrived. After another 10 minutes went by I noticed food being delivered to the group of 6 people even though I had ordered 15 minutes before they arrived. After 30 minutes from when I placed the phone order I finally got my food. The Asian Seared Tuna Salad was NOT fresh ahi tuna steak. I asked for it to be seared and it was cooked at least medium if not almost well done. It had a very chewy consistency. I ended up eating the salad but it was a little too busy with the mandarin oranges, pine nuts and the dressing was much too sweet. New Orleans Jambalaya was one of the grossest things I’ve ever eaten in my life. This was not freshly made, the chicken, shrimp and sausage tasted old, as if it was leftovers from a few days ago. It had a very sour taste and I stopped eating it because I was worried I was going to get sick from it. The menu is very large and inconsistent. There isn’t a theme for the restaurant. It’s called Mediterranean Breeze and I felt the menu covered every cuisine. I would not return.

When I go to Med Breeze, it’s usually because I’m craving a gyro, or souvlaki platter. They remind me of the ones I’d get at diners and Greek hole-in-the-wall places in NYC. The burger platter is what you’d expect from a diner; though, they’re a bit light on the fries which are delicious, hot and crispy! The pizza is very good in its own right. It’s not NY style, and definitely not like any pizza delivery place(e.g. Papa John’s). There’s something delicious about the crust in kind of the same way Mellow Mushrooom’s pizza is good. When my family visits from NYC and nobody knows what they want to eat, I’ll take them here. The food is good. The portion size is good. There’s something for everyone. Note that it can be LOUD here. The main dining area is upstairs and is split with the bar to the right, and dining room to the left. You can’t see the bar when you’re in the dining room and vice versa, but sound carries. I suppose this is a help when it comes to families dining with young children. Whatever noise the kids make blends into the general din. The only thing that’s inconsistent is the service, hence the 4 star review.

We had the Gyros and fish and chips. The tzatziki was nice and creamy, the tartar sauce was great, tasted like it was homemade. Sounds like they have great weekday deals, will have to come back to try their pizzas. Not too fancy, seems like a family friendly place.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review yet because this is one of my favorite places of all time around Herndon. To start, they have amazing mimosas that we come here for ritually. They used to have a sunday brunch buffet but they took it away awhile ago, I’m not sure if they re-instated it but they should because we made a point to come here for brunch and mimosas/bloody mary’s every sunday that we could last summer! We haven’t been back for our mimosas since they took it away because it seems silly to come here on a sunday morning without getting brunch with it. BRINGITBACKMEDBREEZE!!! My favorite part about them is that THEYDELIVER!!! We order from them more than I care to admit because our busy and random schedules sometimes mean that we are way too tired to cook and refuse to order pizza or chinese, and this is the only other option. I am way more inclined to order from somewhere if they have online ordering because for whatever reason I REALLY don’t like calling it in. Their online system isn’t completely perfect and you have to really watch out to include the tip if you don’t have cash to give the driver but other than that it’s pretty awesome and easy. As for the food, everything that I have tried as far as I know has been phenomenal. Try their white pizza with bacon added, it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had and I’m a NY style pizza addict. MY favorite on the menu is the chicken & mushroom crêpe. It is so freakin’ good I can’t even accurately describe it. Their wings are really good, my favorite kind is the BBQ. Best gyros I have had around this area. The chili is perfect and I love that they don’t make it standard with beans because I hate beans and you can never find a place with good chili without it(you can have them added in of course!). I also love the steak loco wrap, it’s so good and almost always hits the spot. The actual place is a bit hard to find but its one of those neighborhood gems that is worth looking out for. It’s located where the old train is next to Maude’s, the entrance is in some sketchy looking back alley and as far as I know is not handicapped accessible(I could be wrong) but it’s totally worth it. WELOVEYOUMEDBREEZE!!!

My friends go here frequently because of convenience and really like their pizza. We tried it over the weekend and were not too excited. First, the service is fine and the salad bar looked ok, but it made me wonder how fresh all the ingredients are/were. Which leads me to their pizza, The Breeze: pepperoni, sausage, ham, onion, green peppers, mushrooms, and black olives. Not a bad pizza, but it didn’t have enough sauce on it for me. My husband initially thought the pizza was good until he saw some mold on the dough/crust. I guess the mystery of Mediterranean Breeze has been solved and we can continue our search for really good food in the burbs.

The Breeze is my go-to for any occasion. I especially love the Saturday/Sunday brunch menu. They offer $ 4 mimosas and bloody marys as well as breakfast pizza. If you haven’t tried the breakfast pizza… it is a must. It’s loaded with cheese, eggs and sausage. The crust is cooked just right with a nice crispy edge that stands up to any amount of toppings. Overall the pizza is just plain good, even the non-breakfast variety. I always dine in the upstairs bar so I can be served by Tony/Dave/George. They make a stiff drink and each one of them always has a smile on his face. You rarely have to ask for another beverage as they’ll be by faster than you know. The Breeze offers great weekly specials for lunch, dinner and happy hour. It’s a good place to catch a game or just catch up with friends.
