Lucia’s Italian Ristorante

It is my first time here and we love it. The pastas are great. My son ordered pizza and he loves it and it is only $ 2.50 a piece. I order pasta with combination seafood and it is amazing. They give you lots of seafood. The service is nice, gelato is also good. We will be back for more.

I went here a few weeks ago with a coworker before we went to see a movie. I had never heard of this place bit my coworker highly recommended it, especially the subs.
I followed his advice and ordered the meatball/​eggplant parmigian sub (I don’t remember the fancy name of the sub that Lucia’s calls it). It was amazing. My two favorite types of Italian parmigian subs blended together into one masterpiece. The fries on the side were great too. Next time I go I will try the pizza which I’m told is also great.
This restaurant would’ve gotten 5 stars from me if it were not fit the fact that we watched a bug crawl up the wall during our meal. Quite a big one too.

Good solid food and good solid service. Each night they have a different special. Their pizza is pretty decent and the cheese pizza is ½ price on Tuesday nights (dine in) — you just pay for toppings. My favorite is the Tortellini al Tino. It’s a combo of a pesto sauce and an Alfredo sauce. All their pasta’s are good — very homey feel to them. You can probably mix and match the sauces with the pastas if you wanted — they are very accommodating. Family run place — laid back atmosphere.
Reading the other reviews I see some concerns about the service. I feel bad about that — they aren’t usually like that. If you get seated in the back by the bar and the bartender is your waiter sometimes he gets distracted with his bar patrons and does slack off a bit on his service at the tables. For the most part — we have not had an issue with service though. I noticed the issue with the bar server once.

This is our first time here and we have been sitting here and still haven’t ordered. This is not looking very good… Let’s see how the food is.

This use to be one of my favorite places. I have to agree with a previous reviewer the service was/​is suspect. I use to frequent this place often and was welcomed with open arms by the owner. He wasn’t in today and the true colors of the staff showed. I waited in line patiently to pick up my order and was completely ignored. Another patron even pointed out that I was in line and I was still ignored to my surprise. So I’ll take my business elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks.

Best bread ever made fresh every day at the restaurant, great pizza and the family who own and run the restaurant make it feel like home when you go in. It’s one of my favorite places to eat!

This place is little, cheap, and convenient. The service is suspect, especially for a simple pizza/​sub place, it feels like I’m inconveniencing the workers when I go in. The food is pretty good, subs have been fine, and pizza has been pretty good as well. I’m going to stick to take-​out here when I do come back though, cause you can’t beat the lunch special! If they could find some decent workers that care at all, and up the service at this place, it has a lot of potential. I always like supporting local business’ and would much rather give them my business than some giant chain, but without consistency they will fail to keep people coming back.

Good food, especially the lasagna. Just needs to be a larger portion for the price but the flavor is Devine. Quaint neighborhood restaurant.

We love this place. Of the four eating places in the Fox Mill Plaza, it is the one we use the most. Comfort food Italian style. Tortellini and subs are among our favorites. I also love the salads and add shrimp. Have had nothing but great service at lunch time.

This is one of the best establishments of northern Virginia. The food is absolutely delicious no matter what you get. Amazing lunch special the fries there are perfectly crispy. The staff is all family owned and they are very friendly. Definitely recommend trying there food

The price of the lasagna is way over price! I can in the restaurant to dine in on a Monday night. The lasagna is half price on Monday’s, so looking at the menu in see lasagna is $ 9.99 but it’s actually $ 14.99 on my bill. Lasagna is very soupy and salty to taste. I was not happy with it at all!

Quiet neighborhood Italian place. Food is pretty good. Service can be spotty — seems to depend on who is working.

Come here often for lunch with the special for $ 6.99, small sub, fries and a drink. Despite having a healthy appetite, the small is always enough and the large makes me feel a little ill if I finish it.
The pepper steak and egg, chicken ranch and meatball are all pretty good. I rotate around through those.

Can’t say enough about this place! We order lunch from work constantly (fries are awesome!) and my fiancé and I come by once a week for dinner. I love their pizza, pasta and subs! I recommend indulging in some dessert, too! The tiramisu is amazing! My personal favorites are the pizza steak sub and the spaghetti and meatballs (oddly, but FANTASTIC!!). I tried the meat ravioli tonight and was not disappointed. I have never had a problem with service! Delivery is always on point and the dine-​in service has always been personable and attentive. I feel like I have some sort of personal relationship with everyone there. Yes, I would define myself as a regular, but I look around and see every diner being treated with the same attentiveness. Like I said, can’t say enough about Lucia’s!!!

Great pizza and pasta!
We always order take-​out pizza and pasta from Lucia’s. The pizza is fairly thin cut into big slices. We usually order a cheese pizza and a white pizza and they are both delicious. We also like the linguine with pesto and penne arrabiata. The service is great and quick. We have never had a problem picking up food from Lucia’s. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Great for your family or big parties!

I want to like this place because the atmosphere is pleasant enough and it is so conveniently located relative to my house. But… the food is just not that good. It’s one of those places that uses provolone cheese in place of mozzarella on their parm dishes, and I just do not think that is acceptable. The sauce is also a little overpowering.
If you are going to go, the pizza is decently good. They also have delicious baked goods (rainbow cookies and cannolis).

Good pizza, subs are silly bad. I ordered their“large” «Italian» sub, well clearly the owners never had an «Italian Store» sub. This sub had 4 – 5 slices of thin meat a few shreds of lettuce and maybe two banana peppers, oh and some gross potato chips.
For $ 9.50 I expect a hell of a lot better sub, will come back for pizza as it is usually good. Not a fan of the other dishes

This review was written a while ago when the Unilocal app didn’t allow posting. I’ve since adjusted the score from 1 to 3 stars cause my girlfriend still likes the food. But we do not dine-​in here anymore after all this:
The service here sucks.
Don’t leave many reviews, but this is our third trip here and I felt compelled.
First time we really liked the pizza. Finding a cheap (ish) Italian place my girlfriend really likes is rare. Service was nice, too. So I was excited.
Second time we came at a busy time so slower service is understandable. Didn’t fault them too much. Still, we had to specifically request straws, napkins, a box, our check… Many of these several times… And we eventually got the hostess to pay our bill because our waitress dropped it off and… Died? Got kidnapped? I’m not sure.
The third time we came at a non-​busy time and the service was just as bad as the second time. We were so completely ignored I had to ask someone, anyone cause no server ever came up to us, to get us drinks and take our order. Eventually we just changed the order «to go» cause dining in was an impossible experience.
Next time we will get carry-​out cause we enjoy the food. Hate the service.
