After the reccomendation from co workers about this little café across the street, I decided to check it out and came away pretty impressed. Its at the bottom of an office building and its easy to miss. I’ve had a few of the breakfast sandwhichs and also have tried their burgers during lunch. I’d definitely reccomend the signature burger, its a cheeseburger with a fried egg on top and all the fixins. Their burgers are served with fries for under 7 dollars which is a pretty good deal.

Fresh Start Café is located in an unassuming office building buried behind the Harris Teeter shopping center in Herndon, bordering the Dulles Toll Road. The café is open Monday — Friday and although it’s in an office building, the parking lot is open to all and anyone can access the café as it has its own entrance separate from the office building on the ground level. The café mainly caters to employees of the surrounding office park during their breaks, however it should be noted that they have an impressive selection of made-to-order burgers and daily specials for unbelievably low prices. There is also a daily salad bar with basic salad bar fixings, priced by weight(again, a bargain), plus a rotating selection of a few hot bar items, also priced by weight. I really enjoy their bean-and-meat chili, on the days when it’s available. There’s a full selection of bottled soft drinks, teas, juices, energy drinks, etc., plus a selection of convenience store-style candy bars, gum, and mints. There is some seating indoors at the café, and they accept Visa and MC. I believe they also serve breakfast sandwiches, but will verify and add photos upon my next visit. Overall, you can count on quick service and fresh food here, and if you’re feeling peckish after a shopping trip to Harris Teeter and the chain eateries there aren’t going to feed the need, you could always try Fresh Start Café They also cater small office gatherings with fresh sandwiches and cookies.
